They did a really good job. They said they could not get into my place for another day and then, they were out there in a matter of a few hours. Everything went very well. It took them less than two hours to complete the work. The workers were great. They did everything well. What they did exceptionally well is that they found a way to schedule me in quickly.

Contacted Lakeside on a Saturday after discovering a cracked pipe spewing water in our laundry room, and we had to turn off the main water supply. I had a family dinner planned later that afternoon. We contacted several other companies, but Lakeside was the only one willing to send a plumber. Steve diagnosed the problem immediately, installed a shut off to the cold water feed enabling us to turn the water back on, stopping the leak temporarily until he could return with the needed parts. He returned several days later, repairing the leak. Steve was a lifesaver; his work prompt and professional. Thanks!!

One of the items that they did, turned out that they didn?t do a good job on it. I didn?t discover it until I had to use the shut off valve last week. I mean they did an awful lot of work! They replaced 3 frozen shut off valves with lever valves. Replaced 2 external hose spigots, installed a sump pump, replaced a water heater and replaced a water softener. Very good price for the quality of components. I have a service maintenance contract with them for my furnace and air conditioner. Generally, my experience was very positive. The only thing that is keeping me from giving them the ?A?, is that one of the valves was not installed quite right. The plumber that did that particular work is no longer employed with them. The guy who I had to pay the bill with, when he stopped at the house, he was verifying & walking me through everything that was done. He happened to notice that one fitting on a filter isn?t tight and that he was going to send someone out to repair it. A couple days later, one of the plumbers came back and repaired it.

Original estimate was $500. I was told that the install on one of the fans was iffy because of the way the fan was mounted and because other equipment may interfere with the installation. Final bill came to $750 because they essentially had to dismount and remount the existing fan. This was a 50% increase of the original estimate. I would have liked a more accurate estimate in order to be able to make a better decision as to who to hire for the work.

Called Lakeside Service Company at 8:00 AM to inquire about the replacement of our leaking water heater. They promptly checked on pricing for both a 40 and 50 gallon install (existing was a 40 gallon). The 50 gallon was only ~$50 more expensive and both were in stock. Scheduled appointment that same day for between 1 - 4:00PM. Technicians arrived around 2:30PM and promptly went to work. Install was completed within 2 hours and they left no mess behind (including hauling away the old unit). I received a $50 discount due to having already removed the broken water heater the previous night and hauling upstairs into my garage and another $100 utilizing the coupon on their website. I also decided to clear away all of the basement junk from the path in order to make their access easier. I would recommend Lakeside Service Company and would utilize them again the next time I need a plumbing or HVAC install or repair.

Steve was very professional in his attire, his communication and his work. He answered my questions as he performed the work and provided cost estimates at critical times during the entire process. Excellent experience.

Our kitchen sink backed up and the plumber came by to fix it. I explained to him what I've already done to remedy the situation (power snake, baking powder / vinegar, etc) and instead of pushing more services that wouldn't have solved the problem he was honest and told me what to do next...free of charge! So while I'm sorry he didn't make any money on me I was very, very happy with the service because he was honest in telling me what he could / couldn't do and most importantly what to do next. That kind of honesty is hard to find in service industries like plumbing...I'll definitely call Lakeside the next time I have a plumbing issue!

The service we received from Lakeside was exceptional! We were new to the home so did not have a history to fall back on. The tankless water heater that Lakeside installed installed was functioning properly however we did not have consistent hot water on some areas of the home. It took the team at Lakeside a bit of time and networking to isolate the problem. Their diligence hard work and extra hours paid off . We had a very unique situation to our home that was not easy to detect that was leading to the inconsistency of the hot water. Steve did an amazing job to get this resolved as timely as possible and worked with our schedule. He was very personable and knowledgable. We would HIGHLY recommend Lakeside Service and will continue to use their service for other repairs in the future.

We had a gas leak from our fireplace that was found during a home inspection. After confirming with Consumers Energy that there was a leak and them showing us where the leak was we called a different local company to repair and they spent two hours here and claimed there was no leak contrary to two other people saying there was. My husband and I agreed we needed a second opinion so we called Lakeside. Best decision. Dennis arrived right after 10 (they gave us a window from 10-1 when he'd arrive) and thoroughly checked out all the whole fireplace and found a very small leak right where it was supposed to be and a bigger leak at the turn on valve. He repaired both and was gone within two hours. We're so pleased we called them and they could fix the leak!

Very Clean install Explained features and maintenance

Extraordinary attention to details. The energy audit covered all aspects of energy savings improvements and safety aspects. A gas leak was found. A detailed report provided an analysis of existing energy consumption and cost, house sealing, infra-red pictures of cold draft penetration and proposals to remedy. Old fiberglass was removed and foam sealing, pot light sealing and cellulose insulation was installed quickly with ZERO mess. A cold bathroom with freezing pipes and cold floor in winter was sealed and insulated. An electronic cleaner, humidifier and UV lights were added and we can notice the difference in air quality. A vent was added above the stove through the wall and closet to the attic and through the wall. Shelves were retained in the routing. Done on time, on budget! Email, tests were promptly responded to. An incredible service experience.

They are very good. Everyone is polite. They give information to the homeowner about where things stand throughout the entire process.

As always, lakeside did a fantastic job. Randy is extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable about his profession. He's always willing to answer questions and explain what he did to the furnace.

Good tech and people, very responsive, but expensive.

The day started out rough. I had plans to have a washer/dryer delivered and installed. Unfortunately, the installers were unable to affix the dryer to the existing vinyl vent. In fact, after further investigation, it appeared the entire vent leading from the dryer to the outside consisted of the vinyl venting (a big no-no according to the internet). All seemed lost... However, Lakeside came to the rescue! I placed a call to Lakeside after perusing Angie's List. I spoke to someone at the office, and they notified me that someone would call me back. I got a call back from Tom within the hour. Not only was Tom able to answer all my questions, he gave me a rough estimate that was well within the ballpark, and was able to get a technician (Rick) out to my house the same day. Rick was personable, courteous, and professional. He took a lot of care in his work, and it shows. I was extremely impressed with Lakeside as a whole and look forward to having them back for the other services they provide. I would highly recommend.

They came and did a seasonal adjustment to the furnace and air conditioning, as well as replaced the heat exchanger (which had cracked). They went out of their way to ensure satisfaction.

I called Lakeside over the weekend and left a message on voice mail to contact me about an appointment. They called first thing Monday morning and we got an appointment set up for later the same day. Aaron called before he came out, and arrived at the beginning of the time period we were told. After asking some questions about the furnace and what it was doing, he got right to work diagnosing the problem. This turned out to be a bad igniter. Since the furnace was rather old (20+ years), he made some calls to see if the part was available, and it was. In order to replace the ingniter he had to remove the gas line and gas valve on the front of the furnace. But once inside, he found that the igniter was, indeed, faulty, as his electrical tests showed previously. He also cleaned the flame sensor, which was dirty. This particular furnace has not had this sort of care in over 10 years, so all of this work was not unexpected. While he had the furnace apart, Aaron did inspect the heat exchanger and said it was in good condition. I appreciated that Aaron thought ahead for such details. After he reassembled the furnace, he checked for proper burner operation, including testing for carbon monoxide and that the thermostat worked. Everything checked out okay. We decided to go with the 1 year service policy due to the age of the furnace and it did save us some money immediately (this was in addition to the price of the furnace repair). Aaron was polite and helpful, explained what was wrong and what our options were. So, all in all, this was an excellent experience, and we now have a working furnace.

The service technician Scot, went above and beyond to make sure to schedule the work quickly. I really appreciated that he gave me different options to "correct" the problem, depending how much I wanted to spend. Also the job ended up being more involved then we first realized and to make matters work it started pouring rain while he was working outside. Poor Scot got soaked but wouldn't stop, what a work ethic. I was very impressed with Lakeside and will use them again.

Furnace not worth putting more money into. Decided on buying a new furnace.

From the first phone call, to the many questions I asked while on the phone, to the follow up phone calls on the status of my emergency service request to the expeditious emergency scheduling miracle they performed to get my heat running.... simply amazing! They are the most courteous, professional and genuinely wonderful team of people I can recall doing business with in years! Scot Schmitter arrived within hours of my call, late on a Friday night at that. Scot is a rock star, technically outstanding, genuinely kind and concerned, not to mention a great personality and sense of humor! I was panicked and within minutes of Scot's arrival, I was feeling relieved and knew I was in good hands. The service was delivered professionally, very fairly priced and he even explained a few things about my equipment I did not know. at 18 yearDid a very thorough inspection of the furnace. it did not surprise me that some parts had seen better days.

The technician who visited our new home was Scot who was very professional and friendly. During the first visit, he unclogged the slow-draining bathroom drain with no problem and attempted to repair the leaky kitchen faucet, but needed parts ordered from Kohler Company, which I did. Once the parts arrived from Kohler, he returned to finish the faucet repair, the valve replacement, as well as the minor condensation leak in the furnace. Everything was completed successfully except the leaky kitchen faucet. He said that I needed to order more/different parts from Kohler in order for the leak to be fully fixed (why this was not requested initially I don't know) and that I would have to pay an additional charge for him to return to install the new parts once they arrived, which I did not particularly appreciate since the initial leak that I had called about and paid for was never really fixed. The additional parts have since arrived from Kohler, and my husband will have to complete the repair! However, what's really important and worth mentioning in this review is that while Scot was in the basement working on the furnace he noticed that the hot water heater, which was located in the same room and installed by the previous home owner, was not installed properly as well as not being up to code. In short, the hot water heater was both a health risk (carbon monoxide) and safety risk (fire). Scot immediately brought this to our attention and warned us of the risk and suggested we have it fixed (install a fan and new venting) or have it replaced immediately with a brand new hot water heater with a built-in fan and have new venting leading to the exterior of the house installed. Fortunately, we had not moved into the house yet so we were not living there when Scot discovered this serious issue. It's still scary to think what might have happened if we had already moved in and something terrible had happened such as carbon monoxide poisoning or if a fire had broken out due to the previous home-owner's faulty, shoddy, and irresponsible installation job. It turns out that the previous home-owner didn't even bother to get a permit and have the hot water heater inspected and approved upon completion of the job the year prior to our buying the house. Not getting a permit is illegal for this type of work. Since Scot's visit, we have had the hot water heater replaced by a different company only because we liked the brand and model of hot water heater they were going to install. We have no doubt that Lakeside, and in particular, Scot, would have done a very professional and thorough job. We also plan on installing carbon monoxide detectors on both levels of the house because of this incident. I'd also like to point out that I contacted the home inspector we hired to inspect the home prior to our purchasing it and explained the situation. Needless to say, I was not happy with him for missing such a serious problem with the home, which the previous home-owner would have had to pay for if it had been discovered at the time of the inspection. Fortunately, the home inspector graciously agreed to pay for the hot water heater replacement, which cost almost $2100. This was the right thing for him to do since he totally missed the faulty hot water heater during his inspection a few months prior. My husband and I are very grateful to Scot at Lakeside for his keen eye and for possibly saving us and our family members from carbon monoxide poisoning or a fire. Thank you Scot! We'll be sure to call on Lakeside in the future for our heating and cooling needs if and when the occasion arises.
