Having interacted with numerous contractors/businesses during the course of completely renovating 2 large homes, my wife and I felt we should share our experiences with Discount Skylight, Robert the owner and his crew. By far, we received the best service of ANY of the contractors we dealt with from Discount Skylight. First off, don’t let the word “Discount” present any negative implications. From start to finish Robert and his team are consummate professionals who care as much for each other as well as their work. They protected our home as if it were their own. Robert, the owner, as well as Kevin (expert installer and structural renovator) faced down any challenge presented to them to provide a more than 100% satisfaction to any project. They worked in freezing cold temperatures and in snow and ice on a 12/12 pitched roof 30 feet high like it was a walk in the park on a beautiful summers day. They took great care in adverse conditions to protect our valuable landscape that surrounded their work area. Thoughtful approaches and innovative solutions are their norm. Neat, punctual, reliable and hard working were only the starting points for all of the employees. Robert and his team are welcome in our home as guests anytime. A self made well educated businessman who boot-strapped himself up from difficult beginnings, Robert has crafted a passion of professionalism in his career. He is a deep soul guided by a spiritual conviction to do MORE than his best at a fair price. Just had our skylights replaced by Discount Skylights. They did a fantastic job. Couldn't be happier. Rob and the team did a fanomable job. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality product and Insulation.

Rob came to my home on Sunday (day off) to inspect my skylight which i thought had a leak. He evaluated the situation and determined the skylight was fine, but he did clean it while on the roof. We offered to pay a service call but he refused as the source of our problem was not the skylight. A very personable guy with extraordinary customer service!!!

The time from the appointment to get data for an estimate to an installed skylight was less than two weeks.

Rob from Discount Skylight is the best. He and his crew did awesome work on our roof and skylights. It was a messy job, and I wish there were a few more precautions taken to protect our hardscaping and landscaping, but we all survived. We have a beautiful roof and 4 new skylights. I wish we'd had all 4 replaced with ones that open (solar) as they only open a few inches. One issue we encountered, which wasn't the fault of the company, was that the old skylights weren't plumb. The interior work to rectify the trim was a bit less than perfect which I didn't notice until after all work was completed.

We have had several projects this spring-summer, with both good and bad experience. This one appeared unexpected, when we were stressed with other projects. And we were amazed how smoothly it was completed: last to start and first to finish. We were looking for a contractor to fix or replace a leaking skylight, and all candidates in our list said they would do it only if we replace the whole roof. Our roof is relatively new. We were desperate, but finally we found the Discount Skylight LLC in Brighton, MI. Their professional, Rob, came and explained in a plain language what was wrong with the skylight, why it would be better to replace than to try to fix it, how long it would take and what would be the price. We hired Rob, and the job was done perfectly: very clean, very fast, very accurately. We asked about blinds, and Rob showed us several models to choose from, and recommended what would be a better choice for us. The price he gave on blinds was more than acceptable. What we especially liked was that he thought about our satisfaction first, not about his profit. I'd like to underline how accurate he was: we made the appointment at 11:30, and exactly at this time, the truck was on our driveway. So if you need a knowledgeable, friendly, highly professional specialist to work on your skylights I would strongly recommend the Discount Skylight LLC.

The owner responded very quickly to my need to replace my current skylights. The replacement was completed within approx. 1 week of my calling and the price was extremely reasonable compared to other companies. The owner was very courteous and professional. Rob did a great job replacing our set of 3 skylights in the kitchen. Everything was very promptly and professionally handled -they look amazing! He also installed 3 manual blinds in the skylights to help keep the kitchen cool in the summer. They were a bit of a challenge, but turned out great. This company was also less expensive than another quote we had. Would highly recommend!

I will recommend Rob with Discount Skylight to everyone I know who needs Skylight work (install or repair). Do not go thru a roofing company, go to a professional like Rob! Rob was patient and answered all of our questions before the install, and he made sure he was prepared for every situation before the day of the job (shingles, paint, etc.). Him and his team did a clean and professional install (one day job which was nice). My family and I are very happy with the outcome! And all for the best price in the area! :)
