It was a pleasure to have worked with Tom, Barbara, and their two children (although quite independent adults). Barbara was always very understanding and helpful. Tom and his kids focused on doing their job very well and quickly, without problems. They completed what they could in two days. I have to hi light how flexible they were. I wanted to provide my own wood since I'm a DirectBuy member. They did not have any problems with this and worked with me. Even when the delivery date was uncertain, they were willing to "wait and see," During the installation, as they were getting done, it was determined that I didn't have enough wood to finish one of the smaller bedrooms. They simply finished that day, packed up and assured me that they would be back. Tom tried to find out from his supplier if he could get the same wood fast. When it was for sure that it wouldn't work, he helped me figure out how much I was missing. And with a very easy going manner went on his way. When the wood came in (three weeks later), within two weeks, Barbara scheduled for them to come back. They came to finish the job on a Saturday morning and worked about five hours. When we settled the contract, I didn't specify that I wanted flush mounted air vents. At the beginning of the installation, I talked to Tom and informed him that I had forgotten to order the vents to match the flooring. He suggested that if I could buy them unstained, he would stain them and install them-for free. The two smaller bedrooms turned out great but the master didn't so he decided to take it home and stain another vent and come back and install it. Much more than what I expected. The floors look great! Truly beautiful. I'm really thankful to the company because we had such a bad experience the first time we installed wood floors in our house that it's hopeful that there are people that take pride in their work, are willing to go one step further than agreed, and that is a pleasure to have around. Property Care Hardwood Floors will definitely be our choice for our future wood floor projects.

The overall job was amazing! Tom worked around my schedule and bent over backwards to meet my timeline. I just purchased the home and it was a bit tricky to figure out exactly when the sellers were going to be out since they initially told us 30 days but were out in roughly 2 weeks. Not only was Tom flexible, he was extremely punctual. He was there the exact time he said he would be for not just the work but also the estimate. He was able to make some great recommendations that really helped us out when selecting the trim and stain. The work was estimated to take 2-3 days and Tom's team completed the job in 2. The overall look of the floors are amazing. I have absolutely zero complaints. This is the first time a have ever provided a review, for anything, but I felt compelled to tell others who utilize Angie's List and hope this is helpful.

Our experience with Property Care Hardwood Floors could not of been better. I found Property Care Hardwood Floors on Angie's List after another flooring company did a terrible job of refinishing my floors. From start to finish things went well and we found this to be a much different experience than what we had had from the previous company. A May 31st appointment was set up to provide us with an estimate and Tom arrived on time as planned. He looked at the damage and the substandard work that was performed by the other company and explained to me what needed to be done to correct the problems. All my questions were answered and my concerns were addressed and I was reassured that my floors would be beautiful when they were finished. We accepted the estimate and Barb called the next day to schedule a date for the floors to be done. We did have to wait 7 weeks but it was well worth the wait. My floors are beautiful and the color could not be more perfect. When it was time to mix the stain Gary worked with me and was patient until I was happy with the color. I wanted the color of my floors to have richness and depth and to match the character of my home and he worked at it until he achieved it all. After the floors were done and before we paid, an appointment was set for Tom to come to our house and make sure we were happy with the work. There were just a few minor things that needed to be addressed and they were promptly taken care of. We are very happy with how our floors turned out and we want to thank everyone at Property Care for working so hard and doing such a wonderful job.

The job was contracted in February with the understanding that installation would need to be delayed until mid- June. In order to hold the cost, I agreed to pay for the wood at that time. No further communication occurred until placing a phone call in June to schedule the actual installation. I was pleasantly surprised that it had been scheduled to begin the following Monday per our discussion in February. They were prompt, professional and neat. All the furniture in the living/dining area was removed and covered. Other areas in the home were also protected. It was strongly recommended that I not stay in my home for the staining and finishing of the floor (a 2-day process) due to the toxicity of the products. Once that was done, I received a phone call that it was safe to return. It was noted at that time that there were a couple of areas in the hallway that could be redone if I was not pleased. I did opt to have the areas addressed. In addition, there was a mistake (in my favor) on the final bill. It was addressed and adjusted in a prompt and courteous manner. All the furniture was put back with felt padding to protect the new floor. Instruction on the care of the floor was given which included a mop and hardwood floor cleaner. All questions and concerns that i had were addressed to my satisfaction. The floors are beautiful! I do hope to do more in the future and would definitely use this company again.

This is a family operation, and it shows in the detail of their work. I had five quotes from different companies, and Property Care was the highest, making the decision on who to go with a little more difficult. I can unequivocally say I made the right choice. I don't mind paying more if the job is worth it, and in this case I am glad I did. The best thing is they do the work themselves. No subs. They are prompt, clean, courteous, and do outstanding work. I had squeaks all over my floors, and before installing the new floor, they went through and re-nailed all of the existing sub flooring for me to to get rid of all of the squeaks. I know there was a lot more squeaks than they probably had originally envisioned, but they took care of every single one, and I am sure it was very time consuming. They took care of moving all of my heavy furniture, as well as the appliances. They removed and replaced the toilet and pedestal sink in the half bath in the hallway. They also removed and replaced the washer and dryer in the laundry room. All I had to do was stay out of their way, and let them do what they do best. Every night when I came home from work, the mess was cleaned up and their tools were all organized and out of the way. Also, every night the stove and fridge were back in place so I could continue to use them while this project was ongoing. They even put pads under all of the furniture so we won't ruin the floor by moving any of it. Not just the kitchen chairs, all of the furniture including the entertainment center. The pads are just one example of the detail they put into the job. They don't miss a thing. The floor turned out beautiful, and I would not hesitate to have Property Care do more work for me. I highly recommend them to anyone that wants to have hardwood floors installed. They do great work, and will address any concerns you have. They are a pleasure to work with!

I'm very happy with how my floors turned out. I had many requests and specific needs that I explained and Property Care was able to accommodate. I calculated their per square foot to be $3.50 from the quote they provided. I gave them a "B" for price because after researching prices online $3.50 was on the high end. However, the amount of attention and quality of service I believe was worth it.

We received three quotes, all were highly regarding companies listed on Angie's List. Even though they were the most expensive, my wife and I were most impressed with the knowledge of the owners so we decided to go with them. We scheduled a date from them to come out to lay down the new flooring and weave it into our existing hardwood floor. After this was completed we schedule another date for the company to sand and stain all over our floors so they would match and look like one floor. The company did an amazing job. You cannot tell which part of the floor is new or the existing flooring that was there for over 20 years. It looks brand new!! We were so pleased that we showed our neighbors who were thinking about getting similar work done. They were very impressed as well as decided to hire them for their project.

Everyone we interacted with at Property Care was so professional and easy to work with. The quote was prompt. They printed a quote out while we there at the initial visit and were working on the job and had it completed within the next two weeks. The floors turned out beautifully. It looked like a new house when they were done and I'm sure that their work had something to do with how quickly the home was sold - it was on the market for 7 days.

Visited and provided estimate promptly. Scheduled the work promptly and came when they said they would. Took three consecutive days to finish (due to drying & curing time), but they now look beautiful. Owner then returned to apply furniture pads and supply a cleaning kit.

Over all... went very well... job was done in a very timely manner, the contractors were courteous, professional, and very customer oriented.... As were Tom and Barb...first and last contacts...

I contacted Tom in September of 2010 for an estimate which he was quick to provide. Due to several hospitalizations I was unable to start the work until April of 2011. I spoke with Barb several times and she was always understanding and helpful as I tried to schedule the job around illness. Tom and crew arrived as scheduled on a Monday and proceeded to begin the demo of the existing floors. Much to everyone's chagrin the existing hardwood had been glued instead of nailed to the subfloor which resulted in extra work for everyone. Where many contractors would try to make up for lost time and possibly cut corners Tom did not. He and his crew were meticulous in the installation of these floors. The leveling, joints, etc were remarkable. The job took longer than anticipated but my husband and I were grateful that Tom takes great pride in his work and our job showed it. He left a microfiber floor mop and Glitsa cleaner so that we could maintain the floors as well. I would highly recommend Property Care due to their professionalism and skill. In fact, I referred them to my daughter who had her existing hardwood floors sanded, stained and new hardwood installed in her kitchen with the same wonderful results.

Everything went very well. We scheduled them to do the work while we were on vacation. They picked up a key before we left. We didn't realize the Glitza would be toxic to our gerbils, so Tom gave us a call and moved them to where they were safe. They had to remove some of the flooring from our laundry room that was water damaged. Tom actually GAVE us some flooring free of charge to fill in. They sanded and applied the Glitza to the laundry room and kitchen. Tom also placed new full maple quarter round, free of charge - the original was foam core and looked horrible. We were thrilled when we came home from vacation. The floors look so much better than when they were first laid (would never buy pre-finished again). They put new sliders on my chairs and stools to make sure they don't scratch the floors. They stopped back by to touch up one of the strips of quarter round,explained how to clean the floors, and gave me a cleaning kit. Will definitely call them if we decided to put the maple in the rest of the 1st floor.

Tom quoted the job on a Saturday and due to the fact we were planning to go out of town overnight and kennel the dogs the upcoming Friday, he looked at the schedule and said that they could do a weekend job for us beginning that Friday and having the floor ready for us to come back on Sun. This was a savings for us because we'd have to leave the house with the pets for a couple of days to do the job when it was scheduled, and since we were already doing the hotel/kennel thing of Friday, it only cost us one day extra. Can't thank them enough for scheduling around our needs. To the point: The floors look amazing!! Seriously. My husband said it looks like they put in a new hardwood floor. They used a natural, matte glitza finish so it's not the same as coming into one of the model home style glossy floors. It looks brand new and we can't see any of the original pitting in the floor that had us concerned. I will add one note regarding this job: We had a company do an earlier job due to a water leak. The ins. co used a well respected company that had been referred to me personally thru a contractor. We were never impressed with the job and know that they charged the ins company (8 years ago) four times what we paid for this job. Because it was an insurance job we didn't feel we had room to gripe. The other company I called to do this job and was highly recommended on another site, he never showed up to do the quote after we stayed home all day on a Sat. He never even called with an excuse. So when I called Property Care to come out and quote, I mentioned to my husband that I was basing everything strictly on reviews I saw on Angie's List. We know we made the right decision. Trust me on this, you don't have to call two or three companies to compare; Property Care people are courteous, respectful and know their trade. They even put pads on all the chairs and leave you with a hardwood floor cleaner. You will not be disappointed. Thank you everyone at Property Care for your amazing service.

The experience was a lot easier than i thought it was going to be. Everything was explained in detail and the floors are beautiful. The workers showed up on time, were very courteous, and took their time helping me pick a stain color. There was no dust . I waited a long time to refinish my floors, AND THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL.

Because of our specific desires, this was a big job and took six days overall. It was well worth each minute and each dollar. Every day, the crew showed up right at 8 a.m. They worked diligently and non-stop. Even their lunch breaks were short. The staining and glitsa were applied by a different Property Care crew, two other gentlemen who were also very timely, professional and easy to talk with. They helped us select a stain color (nutmeg) that is a bit darker than our previous orange but it still goes very well with our oak cabinets. The kitchen's 3" oak planks meld perfectly with the foyer's 2 1/4"--a person really has to look hard to notice the difference. There are no little crevices, cracks or grooves or seams between the planks. The grain in the oak just visually pops and our floors are so beautiful now, we're remiss to bring back the furniture. Oh, but we did. Tom hammered floor protectors into the legs of our furnishings and the chairs et al slide easily yet don't slip. We are absolutely in love with our floors and recommend Property Care without hesitation.

The floors are gorgeous!! I never thought my floors could be brought back to life....they look better than new. The Hoffmeyers are a class act and do everything they said and more. They are punctual, clean, neat and courteous. Even the floor sanding machine didn't leave but the tinest bit of dust. Tom Hoffmeyer stopped over a few days after the job was done to make sure I LOVED it and even brought me a brand new floor mop and cleaner :) I'm sure it's for my husband!! THANKS Property Care you guys are awesome!!!

We have asked lots of questions and both Tom and Barbara have been patient with us. It took us a long time to make a decision on the right flooring. They have made us feel comfortable with our decision. They focus on top quality products and service. They also want to ensure that their customers are happy.

Excellent service! I priced out a few hardwood flooring companies and Property Care was completely reasonable. They came over with some samples for me to try out against my cabinets and walls so that the color would match. After I selected the floor, they measured all the rooms, gave me an estimate and were able to complete the job within weeks. The installation went smooth with no issues. It looked beautiful and was the talk of the neighborhood! They gave me some tips on how to care for the floor including how to move furniture so as not to scratch it. I have recommended Property Care to friends and family and will continue to do so.

They spent extended time explaining the process and gave several different estimates. They were very patient, professional, prompt, reliable, and the workmanship was incredibly good. They worked quickly, efficiently, and they were very willing to answer any and all of my questions. I would highly reccomend them.

The approximate estimate is for all four floors. We got four estimates for the 1st and biggest project, (although the last job was pretty close in size) and this company and one other company were very close in price. One company was a ton more. Watching many, many, contractors work, it was just clear from the beginning that Property Care takes a lot of pride in their work and that they are very, very, experienced. Two contractors giving estimates went on and on about how complicated this or that would be with a one giving a nice price tag to go with it. We were so happy with the job and the experience with this company, it motivated us to do the rest of the house when we actually were not planning on it and really had planned to wanted to wait a year or two. We are really glad we went ahead so we were sure to get these master craftsmen.
