Michigan Basements

I submitted a request for quote and was called right away. Chris was incredibly helpful and discussed cracks in basement over the phone. He did a quote by viewing pictures and schedule for work very quickly. Adam arrived and was extremely polite, accommodating, relatable, and did a fantastic job. He informed us of the process, warned when it would get loud, kept work area clean. A couple days later I received a follow up call from Chris. I’d 100% recommend Michigan Basements. Best contractor we’ve ever worked with.

Great. Very professional very thorough

It was good. They were very good in explaining the work that they're going to do, everything that they verbally explained to me was put in a written quote, and I had no complaints.

The work was excellent. There was a heavy rain after the job was completed and there were no water coming in the basement. They did a great job for sure.

It went well. I thought they were professional and clean and we are quite pleased with the outcome.

They got the job done in a short amount of time, given the amount of work needed. They had good communication. I would hire them again if another project like this came up.

For the most party everything went wonderfully well. The quality of the work was top notch, and we are very happy with the finished product. Our only complaint is that the project took 2x as long as estimated (4 months vs 2).

Admittedly I am writing this review several years after the work was completed. That should be a testament to how highly I regarded Dale and his work. We had recently moved into our home and the 1955 basement needed a re-do; BADLY. I had around 8 contractors come in and give me quotes ranging from $30,000 to $18,000. Money was tight as we had just moved in, but the kids need a rec room. Dale came in, I told him I wanted to to do some of the work myself to keep cost down (demo, insulation, & paint) as I had told all the other contractors. I also told him evening work was 'ok' and I would stay out of their way. He came back with a VERY reasonable quote. He kept the "surprises" down to the bare minimum (a few electric problems and a wall that need to be built) and I kept my add-on's to a bare minimum (additional electrical outlets and up-graded trim work). He took everything in stride and had someone on site every day. Start to finish it took around two and a half weeks. I still get complements on the work he did. His overall price was still less than everyone else. The trim work he did is top-notch.
