Domenico Brick Paving & Landscaping

Domenico paving both wildly exceeded our expectations for solving the drainage problems and providing a truly beautiful entrance patio and walkway to our home. The company recommended an innovative and green solution to the lack of drainage by employing permeable pavers coupled with an extensive french drain system . After completion of the work we now have no drainage issues whatsoever, while unfortunately our neighbors continue with similar issues as we previously incurred Beyond the rock solid approach to solving our drainage problem, Domenico designed an absolutely gorgeous entrance to our home. the before and after curb appeal is almost incomparable. Their level of attention to detail and what I can only describe as complete professionalism is in my experience nonpareil. Domenico personally and his entire team including Karl, the project manager for the job, listened, understood and acted upon all of my concerns.

Domenico did a nice job on my walkway and porch last year, so I hired them again to replace steps at the side of my house. Another nice job. The plan was well thought out, the crew showed up on time and worked efficiently, and I'm happy with the results. Not the cheapest, but I knew they would do quality work.

They were very efficient, they came when they said they would, and they did a really good job. They were reliable, knowledgeable, and did a really good job.

The quoting process was fine, but I did not select this provider for the following reasons: 1. I got three bids on this project from authorized unilock contractors on Angie's List. Of the three bids, Domenico's bid was approximately 30-40% higher than the other contractors who quoted the project. 2. Domenico quoted using one of the lowest cost pavers available, but their quote was still 30-40% higher in price than the other contractors who offered us upgraded pavers at a lower cost. 3. The other two contractors provided a 3D rendering of the project as part of the quote. In addition, we were able to sit with the contractor and see 360 degree ariel and ground views of the patio, which helped us to visualize the project. Unfortunately, Domenico only provided a rough hand-drawn sketch of the patio outline on a piece of notepaper that did not include the dimensions of the space. When I asked if I would receive a better drawing, I was told that this was all they provide. For this reason, I gave the quality of the quoting process a "C" rating.

Domenico Brick Paving . Karl and his crew did everything they promised and more and we found the price to be very reasonable. We selected our brick pavers for our upper patio and lower patio and pool deck. In order to avoid a possible collapse of our upper brick retaining wall (already in existence), Karl offered a helpful solution by placing a drainage pipe underground to redistribute any standing water. My husband was very impressed! They also did a beautiful job in cutting and laying of the brick. We have worked with dozens of contractors in the past few years and found Karl and his team to be the best! The crew worked from early morning until early evening every day. They also worked seamlessly around our pool contractor. We found them to be very professional, punctual and pleasant. Karl was great to work with and offered helpful solutions that were carefully thought out. All I can say is "wow, what a difference it has made!" We are proud to have people over now for parties and cookouts. It has been the most enjoyable improvement yet and we find ourselves spending more time outside on our beautiful patio - we are extremely pleased with the exceptional workmanship! Showed up on time with the owner to review the days work. Next day reviewed job with forman. Very professional and did good quality work. The last phase needs to be completed so I will update if any issues.

Great! We got so many compliments on the first project we decided to have them back. We called the office and Domenico came out in a few days and the project was underway within a couple weeks. The crew is very hard-working and the guys work well together and take pride in their work. They have a great attitude and are very courteous and polite. They also spent extra time cleaning up after the project was completed.

The entire team from Domenico were great. It started with the planning and quoting. Domenico came down for an initial quote and had all of the catalogs, and samples from previous jobs with him. We discussed what I was thinking and he went off and designed up a couple of different plans for us to choose from. We picked one and tweaked the design a bit. Together we came up with a great looking design. A few weeks later his team came out in full force and 4 days later we had a brand new 800+ sq.ft. patio. They did a great job of explaining what they were going to do and why my old patio failed the way it did and showed me exactly what the previous contractor did wrong and what they were going to do to make sure the new patio didn't fail like the old one. The team cleaned up the yard after every working day and on the final day we did a full walk through to make sure everything was the way I liked it. We did find a couple of bricks that were not perfectly straight. They pulled them up and straightened them out right there on the spot. We have been out there every day since they finished (weather permitting). As long as the patio lasts for many years like they promise, I would HIGHLY recommend them.

We have not made a decision at this point in time. However, we were very impressed with the way in which Dominic conducted business.

The web photos gave us some design ideas (we had never had brick paving before) Our first design was a little ambitious and beyond our budget and Domenic worked a great design that met the look and function we were looking for. The crew showed up on time, worked very hard all day, completed the job much faster than I would have thought possible, cleaned up every scrap, washed the bricks down, and left with the brickwork looking like it had been there for years. Compliments from neighbors all around. What more could you ask.......

We spent a few months dealing with another landscaping company before we went with Domenico. (The other company was too expensive and we lost confidence in them.) Based on the paid design work from the other company, we thought that we had a pretty complete design. We are fortunate that Domenico did a thorough review of the design and gave us some great ideas for improvement. Work went quickly and was done very professionally. We made some minor changes with no hassle, such as burying some electrical conduit before the patio was completed. We are very happy with the finished patio and the total experience with Domenico.

They were prompt, courteous, and tidy, plus they did not use any chemicals that could have harmed my landscaping.

I did not have any work done but they went out of their way to help me out.

The company did respond quickly to my phone call. The owner came out and gave me the estimate. He was professional. The problem was I had three estimates done for the same work all by Angie's List contractors. His estimate was double the other two. I had the work done by another Angie's List company. In the end, the work that we had done by someone else looks great and we saved a lot of money. I am sure Domenico probably does great work, if you are willing to pay the premium.

Domenico was very prompt - about two weeks from first contact to finished project. Karl, Domenico's supervisor, was great to work with. He had good suggestions and was patient with us as we tried to sort out the way we wanted to go. Once we decided he got the crew out quickly. The crew accidentally cut a power line during the project. Although Domenico's contract specifies that damaged power lines are not Domenico's problem, Karl came back out without hesitation and fixed the line. The new walk looks great! I did not comment on Domenico's price because I did not do any comparison shopping, so can't offer an informed opinion. I chose Domenico because it was highly rated on Angie's List, and trusted that part of Angie's high rating was due to Domenico charging fair prices.

Fantastic. I got a quote the same day I called them and they were wonderful in rearranging their schedules to fit my job in. Everyone was incredibly professional and the work crew was amazing-they worked extremely hard and left the site pristine every day. The finished work is wonderful; I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Domenic came to estimate the job and he was thorough in explaining what was involved. I had followup questions that he answered in a subsequent phone call. He said he would likely land in the middle, cost-wise, and he was right. Karl and his crew saw to the actual work and they were very professional ? punctual, friendly, and precise in measuring, cutting and fitting the pavers. They also did a good job cleaning up. I'm very pleased with the results and I'll have them back in the spring to do a larger job.

I couldn't have been more satisfied with every aspect of this project. Domenic and his entire staff was very responsive to every inquiry. The quality of workmanship completely exceeded my expectations. Two minor modifications after completion of the project were addressed immediately to my satisfaction. If you are in the market for brick paving landscape work in the southeast Michigan area, you must consider this group of professionals. You will not regret this decision.

I recently contacted Domenico Brick Paving about a problem that developed on a project that was installed in 2007. Even though it was beyond the 5 year warranty, Karl came out the next day to assess the problem and was able to quickly fit me into their schedule. The crew arrived promptly, worked efficiently and completed the repairs in a few hours. As they had originally, the crew did an excellent job and left the work site clean when they left. Although it was more than 5 years after the original installation, Domenico repaired the porch at no cost. They went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. Based on both of my experiences with Domenico Brick Paving & Landscape, I highly recommend their services to others.

Their service turned out great. They were honest and reliable. The workmen were the hardest working people I have seen. They never took a break. There were no issues scheduling and they showed up on time every day. They finished in about four days and worked hard all the way through. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

After having 2 other companies quote the job, we decided to hire Domenico and we are so glad that we did! His team arrived on time, kept us up to speed on the progress and completed the job within our time frame and budget. They were very professional and great to work with. We love our new walkway!

The walkway and the porch turned out great! We are so happy with the work that was done. Domenic and his team were very knowledgeable and professional.
