Domenico Brick Paving & Landscaping

It went excellent. Dominic and his crew are extremely hard working and do fantastic work. They removed our old rotten deck, installed all new fill to raise the ground up for a large brick paver patio. The design Dominic came up with is beautiful, with two tones accenting each other. They worked every minute the weather would allow them, and left the job site in perfect condition. You will not be disappointed if you hire Domenico to do your brick paving work!

Our experience was excellent. We had trouble in the past finding a hardscaping/landscaping design company that was responsive, but once we reached out to Domenic, he contacted us right away and was responsive and evaluated our job immediately. We are extremely happy for all their service, as outlined, and look forward to working with them in the future. Design: We met with Dominic for our hardscaping work and Diane for our landscaping work several times before making our decision and both provided great ideas we had not considered and were able to show us different design patterns on their computer design program that helped our decision. For example, Domenic proposed that we lift and relay our existing pavers in our driveway and porch/walkway as opposed to installing all new surface, and he also suggested adding a border that changed and updated the look that we are extremely happy with. Diane walked around our house many times and pointed out that we could significantly open the view to/from our sunroom with the elimination of overgrown shrubs and trees. Karl and Dave oversaw a great team in our hardscape process. The team, led by Jose, worked diligently all day in the heat of the summer to pick-up and clean every paver in our large driveway and front porch. All the workers were polite and hard working. Karl was very patient as well looked through many border options and we are very happy with our choice. Once the choice was made, the team meticulously laid each one, which was not easy as we have many curves and corders in our driveway and walkway. They also buried some of our drains, which helped get the water away from the house and level the year. Karl and Dave came once a day to check on the progress and answer any questions. Diane led the landscaping team and was the person I worked with the most and from the beginning of the project till the end, Diane was extremely responsive. She was responsible for coordinating not only the new plantings but also the lights and irrigation. She was very patient as she had to work around our schedule with painting the house and other construction we were doing at the time. If I had any questions or concerns she would call me right back and made many trips to our house to oversee the work. The entire team was responsive, hardworking and courteous. We are extremely happy with the results and look forward to working with Domenico again.

I am very satisfied with every aspect of the job. They were very attentive with every detail. We changed the paver style at the start of the project and they were extremely cooperative. Their response to this change was quick and very positive. Karl and Dave were the managers on hand and my wife and I almost felt like they were family. The guided us through the project with insights and suggestions that I would not have thought of. My wife and I are very pleased with the quality and appearance of our new patio.

Dominic was quick to come and give us an estimate. Of the 3 bidders, he was by far the most responsive. During the estimation process he actually listened to what we wanted,made suggestions and responded with a quote the next day. He was professional and courteous. The work was performed in a workman like fashion and we were pleased with the result. They kept the area clean and there were no cigarette butts or loud music to deal with. We came out of the house to "inspect" what they were doing several times during the process and each time they stopped whatever they were doing to explain and to answer any questions we had. The duration of the job was as estimated and they even left us some extra sand to fill in should it be needed, a nice touch. We would recommend Dominic's firm to others desiring similar work.

Domenico came to our house and provided quote promptly, we went back and forth about the material selection as well as configuration of the walk way and patio, brick color etc. He did gave us estimated project timing and it did happen on schedule. The workers showed up on time and did a good job of laying the bricks.

Domenico did an excellent job! It has been a few years since it was done but we still love it! Sorry, did not know about this review site until now! Domenico was the most professional, prepared and most competatively priced out of 4 quotes. He understood exactly what I wanted and created just that and also let me make payments after doing 50% down. I really appreciated that!

Domenico is a very professional guy. He provided his honest opinion, saved me some money. He provided estimate on time for the agreed with that needed to done. The best part was his timely manner to get the work done as needed. I would definitely recommend him to use his services.

We signed a contract with Domenico to remove our existing decks and replace with a Unilock paver patio on July 20th 2015. This was a ~$28K project. The contract included the terms and conditions of installation, price and warranty; 5 year on installation and 2 year on repairs. We were told that the target implementation date would be the week of September 21st 2015. I had no communication with Domenico from the date until Monday, September 14th; one week prior to start of construction. On Monday, September 14th I received an email requesting we sign a waiver that essentially voiding any installation or repair warranty agreed to in the contract signed in July. The reason given was a perceived concern about the stability of the ground around my home and likelihood of the patio settling below grade over time. Domenico was inflexible, unwilling to compromise on the language in the waiver. He refused to guarantee any of the work his company was going to perform. After several emails they declined to work on the project leaving me with no immediate solution. None of Domenico's concerns were discussed at the time the contract was signed or at any time over the subsequent 2 months. I have a hot tub on order with no place to install it. The last minute waiver with no prior discussion was unprofessional. Had Domenico stipulated that there would be no warranty for his companies work in July I would not have signed the contract and found an alternative vendor. This engagement turned from something we were excited about to a very unpleasant event.

I used Domenico for 2 jobs at my home. I was very satisfied with both jobs and the company won an award from Unilock for my front porch. Dominico's quote for my 3rd job was very high considering the multiple referrals he received from us. After deciding to go another direction in our 3rd job we asked that the photo's he had of our home be removed from his website. He refused and we received a letter from an attorney threatening to sue us for defamation. My reviews have never been based on their work but refusal to remove photo's of our home from his website. We were sent copies of the so-called release forms we signed for them to use of our home and they were forged. After contacting their attorney and explaining that we didn't sign them and based on the fact that my wife's name was spelled wrong we still don't have this resolved. Please take warning they do good work but you may end up getting sued.

Price was right in line with the other quotes we received. The crew was wonderful. Very professional. They showed up when they said they would be here. The came back on a Saturday to complete our project as it was not quite done. The quality of work is top notch. We are so happy with our final product when we go to our next landscape project we absolutely will be using them. Owner even stopped by after project was complete to see the finished product. Checks had already been collected so did not have to do this. Finished product was absolutely beautiful we could not be happier.

I will say that they returned my request quickly and didn't waste my time turning away my business ..

Domenico Brick Paving replaced existing porch/walkway in addition to landscaping the front yard. Working with Domenico Brick Paving was a refreshing experience from beginning to end. Domenic and Diane were extremely helpful and knowledgeable in their field and were quick to respond to questions throughout the process. They were clear in their delivery and pulled no punches. The crew that completed the work was extremely professional, efficient and respectful towards the overall maintenance. Working with Domenico Brick Paving reassured me that there are quality firms that care about their services and truly believe in customer service. The team did a great job. So far so good. There was an issue with some of the paver sand not filling in all of the cracks and they came back and took care of that.

Showed up almost immediately (on a weekend) for the quote. Very professional, full of great ideas. Sadly, Dominico had a greater vision than our budget could support, so we went with another vendor. I'd still ask him out to spec a higher-end project, as he is a genuine individual and I have no doubt that his services would be of the highest quality.

Karl came with a crew of about 8. They worked for about 1 1/2 days and everything was done beautifully.

Our deck was practically falling apart and after getting several estimates, we decided to hire Domenico to take it down and install a new paver patio largely because their price was competitive and we heard so many good things about their work. After the disaster that was our flooring install, working with Domenico was pretty much the polar opposite. Throughout the entire process, everybody was friendly and told us what was going on. Even when we ran into big issues, like a 100 sq ft 10-inch deep reinforced concrete slab or a gas line that needed to be re-routed, they called us right away and worked hard to make sure we were happy with everything. They got here on time, if not early every day and worked hard while having fun at the same time. The patio looks absolutely fantastic and we are very happy with it. We would definitely recommend Domenico to anybody needing a patio.

Perfectly! I have a bit of a crush on Domenico. When I called him for the first appointment, he arrived in 30 minutes, fresh from his lunchtime bike ride. He is incredibly good looking! He does not waste your time or his. He is organized and punctual.

Our experience with Domenico and his company was outstanding!! We called and Domenico was out the next day to talk with us about our project. He had a presentation for us to look at about his previous work in the area. We received an estimate within a few days. The office staff was responsive to my questions and my lack of ability to make up my mind on design. Domenico even came out a second time to discuss plans. After the plan was in place every call I made to the office was answered cheerfully. I cannot say enough about the crew and the job supervisors. The crew arrived on time, worked hard ,were very cheerful and accommodating, it was a pleasure to have them working on this project. The supervisors were on hand many times in the day to watch the progress and helped us with many minor decisions. We are glad to have gotten to know them and appreciate their knowledge in this process. The patio is outstanding. The workmanship was beyond expectations. We have already had dinner company and we are sure the structure will support and look as good for many years and parties to come. We are very happy and cannot say enough about the way we were treated.

I chose an alternative provider who was less expensive for the simplified project I ultimately chose to do, but Domenico was in the ballpark as far as price.

Domenico came up with a very nice design, good price and installed the porch. Total time was about 3 weeks. The old front entry was falling apart and was unsafe . Domenico listened to our needs and provided a design that really improved the look of our house. It was a quality install. I've waited two years to report because I wanted to know how well it would hold up. The unilock pavers look as good today as the day they were installed. Even with this worst winter in over 20 years there was no settling or heaving. This installation was worth every penny. Also Domenico is very professional to work with. He takes pride in his work and insists in perfection. His bid was detailed and he lived up to his contract. There is a 5 year warranty. This is a company that will be around to honor its warranty too.

Left a message, someone called back a week later. Gave this person the info, I needed some pavers reset around my pool. Was told Domenico would call me back. He did, but said it was too small of a job to bother with. I pointed out that in the future I may have a bigger job, but, for sure, then, would not call him. He didn't care, and then said he was 2 1/2 months backed up. So I asked him why he bothered to call at all. I also stated that I thought it was interesting that Michigan has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, but contractors can't be bothered with small jobs.

Process went very well. Dominico came to our home and discussed our project. He was very professional and provided many examples of his work. We were not exactly sure what we were looking for in the patio. Dominico provided several suggestions. He followed up with his design and a quote for the work. He also followed up shortly after with a phone call asking if there were any questions and if we were going to contract him to build our patio.

Domenico paving both wildly exceeded our expectations for solving the drainage problems and providing a truly beautiful entrance patio and walkway to our home. The company recommended an innovative and green solution to the lack of drainage by employing permeable pavers coupled with an extensive french drain system . After completion of the work we now have no drainage issues whatsoever, while unfortunately our neighbors continue with similar issues as we previously incurred Beyond the rock solid approach to solving our drainage problem, Domenico designed an absolutely gorgeous entrance to our home. the before and after curb appeal is almost incomparable. Their level of attention to detail and what I can only describe as complete professionalism is in my experience nonpareil. Domenico personally and his entire team including Karl, the project manager for the job, listened, understood and acted upon all of my concerns.
