Buyer Beware When having a home built or just having some repair work done trusting your builder to be professional and knowledgeable of his craft should be a given one would think. That's not the case if the builder you choose to put your faith and hard earned money in is S.A.W. Construction He is not only unprofessional but unethical. We had our home built by this so called professional 5 years ago. We have had nothing but problems from the beginning. He takes your money but never completes the work in proper and professional manner if at all. When you try to call him your calls fall on deaf ears. Here are just a few examples of his lack of morals and ethics: 1. We just paid a roofer a large sum of money to repair the roof that was put on just a mere 5 years ago. Why you ask? My question exactly since our roof was supposed to be guaranteed for life. Well, we contacted the manufacturer of the shingles and that's all true if the roof problem is a result of negligence on the part of the builder. 2. We have a poorly constructed porch on which a planter was placed to hide the fact that the cement cracked an broke off. 3. We have drawers in our home that do not function properly 4. We have dents in our hardwood floor. 5. He damaged our shower while installing it. We had to go through where the shower was purchased to get it fixed. They tried to get the paperwork from him, he would not get back with them. I am not sure who paid for it. 6. Our contract states that when the basement floor was poured if it didn't come out smooth a second pouring would be done. The builder told me he was going to have to do a second pour to smooth out the floor. He did no do what he said he would do. He painted the floor instead and he didn't even complete that. 7. We still have a door that will not latch. He did fix a couple of the doors this one is not. 8. In the first year our waterheater froze. We had to have a part replaced in the water heater. It has not been right since. I vibrates when we open up the hot water fixtures too much. I is a Bosch Brand.We are trying to fix what we can, and pay to have other problems fixed if it's even possible. I guess we just live with the rest. I can tell you that this experience has left a really bad taste in my mouth for the building profession. I beseech anyone reading this to please be aware that there are so called professionals out there just waiting to prey on their next victim. Please do not let yourself fall victim to Scott Allen Wachner otherwise known as S.A.W. Construction.
