My basement flooded from a sewer backup. Insurance would cover everything needed to get my boiler back up and running including replacing it. Stratz assessed the situation. Water heater had to be replaced and the boiler could be rebuilt. Was told I would need a $1100 part that they deemed would not be covered by insurance because it sat high up from the water. So I asked the tech, " You are saying my boiler broke the day of the flood?" and he said "Well, yes...it sounds odd..by yeah". I told him that was ludicrous. Startz had been out before and said my boiler was fine. I live alone and at 70 years old, $1100 is a lot for something insurance would have paid for. So, they put the brand new part on my boiler and still it did not function right. They then charge me $600 to unclog a pipe & then boiler worked. I was told..." Yes, that is quite a coincidence your backflow part stopped working the day of the flood." . They called yesterday asking where their $1100.00 is. I am an honest person. I have good credit. I pay my bills. I am brokenhearted to be treated this way

We have used Stratz Heating since we moved here in 1989. In that time, they have installed two furnaces. Both times the work was done quickly and efficiently. They also perform annual routine furnace check-ups. We rely on their honest advice, and haven't really had any major furnace issues as a result. We especially like Charlie, who fixes equipment and Karl Stratz, the owner. They are both knowledgeable in their fields, and they answer all the questions we ask in a straightforward manner. We trust their work and opinions. This is a family-owned company who treats you like a neighbor, not just a customer. Phone staff is always friendly and helpful. Stratz used to sell Bryant furnaces, but now they sell and repair Trane. We recently needed a new furnace and went with a Trane XV95. Installation was fast and the workers were very nice. They did a good clean-up job too. We are very happy with this furnace. It is quiet and 96% efficient.

He checked out my whole system and found out what was causing my heating problem. I have 4 zones and the heat was turning on when all the thermostats were off.

Provider came and checked out our fuel oil burner which is quite old. Tried to get it to fire which it did but did not stay on. Went through it and let us know what it would cost to replace some parts in it to make it work properly. Technician was pleasant and left a sheet with the cost of repairs so we could decide to repair or purchase a new one. The $95.00 was the service call if we decided to go with the repairs there would be no second charge for them to come back to put new parts in the furnace.

The work, installation and professionalism of the representative was just fine. The work was done quickly and well. The problem I experienced was that the device installed did not meet code for the building. The company representatives did not make mention of this fact. Essentially I wasted money buying the device; money which could have been set aside for a heating device that would meet code. I eventually hired another company to install a proper heating unit.

THIS COMPANY CAME TO THE RESCUE!!! They were on time, professional and very knowledgeable. They also confirmed that my furnace was easy to fix and they did it. He spent an hour and a half making sure everything was fine and checked and rechecked until our furnace was problem free. I'm glad I called on Stratz. I'd used their services in years past and I am glad I decided to rely on them again.
