 + -1 moreEveryone was prompt and professional. Mr. Robertson was onsite for portions of the work and was extremely responsive to our calls, texts, and emails. We have used him several times since 2010 and plan to continue to do so. We have recommended him to friends. We have a residence built in 1952 with many big and small projects. Kurt is the BEST!!!
Description of Work: Mr. Robertson gave us an estimate then arranged for the workers to stain and finish our master bedroom hardwood floors.

Many times during the project I asked "how did you do that"... he was extremely competent, detailed and professional. I'd have him do any project in my house and highly recommend his work. He did the work a few years ago - just saw that he is listed here on Angie's List so wanted to drop a review. Note that I'm still very pleased with his work years later.

 + -1 moreIt was a good experience. It was only one person which I thought was weird. He did a good job. He really cared about his work. He was clean. I was very satisfied. There were a couple of scuffs on the wall but he did point them out. His price was fine but it was part of the whole deal. They were subcontractor to Home Depot. He called and told me he was on the way them came and did it.
Description of Work: I bought carpets at Home Depot and Robertson Enterprises installed it.

He arrived at my house in about an hour, fixed the door quickly and was gone. I loved that he responded so quickly and seemed very honest and did not make the repair complicated. He is my new Handyman, for sure!

 + -1 moreWe finally decided it was time to remove an old brick propane grill from our backyard that had been a constant eyesore. I contacted Kurt and he came right out, quoted the price for the job and returned a couple of days later to remove the grill. Kurt has done projects for me in the past including finishing my basement, remodeling my bathroom and installing a kitchen floor. I have always been happy with his work and have referred him to family members that have also hired him.

We could always count on Kurt to show up as scheduled and get right to work. If he noticed something that should be repaired or I had a question, he was always willing to share his expertise. We had a last minute request..to install flooring and repair a kitchen vent..Kurt adjusted his schedule to work us in promptly. We will definitely depend on Robertson Enterprises, Kurt, for future house maintenance/repair/updating jobs. Thanks, Kurt!

 + -1 moreHe always showed up on time and very polite. He gave me the estimate of the stair repair job at $500 which was $5000 by the other handyman about 11 years ago. That is why I didn't repaired it until I have to repair it in order to sell the house recently. He also charged the front door restain job at $650 which other guys try to charge me $ 2000 or $1700. Moreover, after he finished the job, he only charged me $500 because paint dried faster than he thought and finished earlier He was very honest and punctual. It was very peasant to work with him. I will highly recommend him without any hesitation.
Description of Work: He repaired the stone stairs in front of front door and the front door.

 + 2 moreA plumber had estimated a much more extensive job including separate workmen for ceiling and leak. Insurance estimate was also very high. Kurt estimated the situation correctly, tested his theory of what was the problem, and got to work. Everything was completed within half a day - amazing.
Description of Work: We had a leak under the shower. Kurt removed the water-damaged ceiling section, repaired the leak in the drain, replaced drywall and repainted. Results were perfect -- It looked like nothing had ever been wrong.

 + 0 moreKurt is one of the most responsive contractors we've ever used. He's always the first one to call us back and is almost always the lowest price. He's always on time, if not early, and has come out the same day to fix something numerous times. He did our new faucet, reinforced our poorly built garage, mounted our TV and put a new gutter on the back of our house while rerouting the downspout. He's always professional and his work is amazing. We have gone back to him time and time again and will continue to do so.

 + 0 moreKurt arrived and worked very hard. He completed all of the tasks asked of him. Even though we had to change our appointment date, he was very accommodating. The only outstanding problem is I asked for a hard copy of the work and charges as I do not have a printer and so far I haven't received same.
Description of Work: Kurt replaced 10 receptacle outlets and covers along with 5 switches and cover plates. He also replaced a front porch light and installed a new bathroom faucet and laundryroom faucet. Installed 9 knobs on utility room cabinets and also installed and programmed a new thermostat. Except for the thermostat, he bought all of the items.

 + -1 moreI first hired Scott, through his company, Superior Woodworking, to build cabinetry in my den, and redo my staircase. When I saw the quality work he had performed at my home, along with his professionalism, my husband and I confidently hired him to renovate our new restaurant, which we were working on opening after the Holiday. Scott preformed countless jobs for us; He erected walls closing off our kitchen area, recapped our stairs, and built columns and cabinetry throughout our establishment, to name a few. Most importantly, Scott created, designed, organized, and built our entire bar area. He did this in a very cost effective way, which made the whole designing process an even bigger challenge for him! This was extremely important to us because the bar is approximately 35 feet long and is the focal point of our entire restaurant, and it looks fantastic. We couldn't be happier with Scott, his quotes, his quality of work, and professionalism. We look forward to working on future projects with him.

 + 3 moreHORRIBLE.... The work was ok, they were messy and didn't bother to clean after their work. But now seeing the billing I'm glad they didn't clean. They would've charged me double for that pleasure. I enjoy working with different people and i have extensive experience working with contractors but I've never encountered such nasty professionalism. I found numerous mistakes after paying the full amount. One of the mistakes was in the basement near the furnace and water heater. They left large sections of debris, some of which was paper, near the area. It could've caught fire? It was so bad I won't call them to finish any of their unfinished item, even though I paid in full. That's how insane this company was. Save yourself time and aggravation. Hire a qualified professional, then slam your hand in the car door. That way the work will be done but you can still feel the same amount of pain.? Actually, please don't do that. :) I think you get my point.
Description of Work: We wanted to have recessed lighting and in wall speakers placed throughout the 1st floor. Along with a few other small carpentry items the crew did as requested. However, they constantly gave "friendly" suggestions but never alerted to any actual changes in the cost/bill. They would also always be waiting for more payment on each Friday, even though we never discussed weekly draws. For a project that lasted just over 2 weeks we had 2 very large disagreements over costs or scope changes. The first, was after apx 5-6 days and they just handed a bill to me that was 54% higher than the original estimate. Needless to say I had to argue price and scope with the contractor while my daughter waited at school for me to pick her up. Considering the contractor NEVER discussed draws during the project they waited until it was time for me to leave to pick the kids up before they would approach me for payment. it was an obvious ploy to get payment but without further discussion or clarification. They wanted money whenever they wanted it. I should've fired after the first disagreement but I thought hanging in to finish the project was the better solution. The project ended just 3 business days after the large disagreement and once again they waited until I need to pick the kids up from school. They approached me (actually cornered me) for final payment, even though I never had a chance to review their work. They stood around waiting for payment but more amazing, they increase the final price again by more than $1,000.00 since the last disagreement and no changes were ever discussed. They just wanted more for the same work and they said they deserved it. I tried to reason with them about the constant issues and the large contract amount change with communication but you can't reason with crooks. Finally, the owner of the company became extremely upset that I wouldn't make final payment for an amount that I never agreed to and became very threatening. In the end, because my daughters were still waiting at school and the confrontation became unreasonable I decided to pay the requested amount just to get them out of my house.

 + 0 moreKurt came and gave me an estimate and said that he would build the shelves in his workshop and he would be back in a week or so to install them. He called in less than a week and had the shelves done and we scheduled the installation. He was on time and did a beautiful job. I also need to have a sink moved in the basement so it wouldn't be in the way of electrical work I was having done. He moved the sink and got the parts necessary to move the sink to another location. Completed all of the work quickly and cleaned everything up. I would definitely hire him again.
Description of Work: Pantry shelving had collapsed. Just moved into the home and needed to put thngs away.

Description of Work: sink was backing up , overflowing. Original design in office suite kitchen was faulty. They brought in a plumber who reconfigured the piping system and it has not overflowed since. Very professional and explained what the problem and solution was.
