too hurried for pricing painting and increased price on second visit, did not prep and clean walls prior to painting. Left painters tape painted in place. Failed to finish job after calls for him to return. These other reviews are not anywhere close to our experience. in fact I cannot believe they are real experiences.

Gabe and his team did an excellent job painting my living room area that had a lot of soot from a faulty LPG fireplace. From the beginning, Gabe's communication was great, a critical piece for me to do business if any contractor. I typically sleep until early afternoon (I'm on a "midnight shift" type of schedule even though I'm retired!) with Gabe and his team starting their work around 0900 hrs.. They knew about my sleeping habits and not once did they wake me up...extremely courteous. Each day before leaving, they worked to assure I had access to my TV and computer, again very courteous. Besides all this, my interactions with them was always a pleasure, they are a very friendly bunch of guys. I need to also give a shout out to Gabe's wife, who came over to my home to help me pick out the colors for the ceiling and walls. No surprise, she too was just a pleasure to work with. Bottom line, I can't say enough good things about Gabe's company. I've already committed to having them come back this Spring to paint my bedroom (please note that my living room and bedroom amount to ~2,000 sq.ft.) and most likely my master bathroom. Highly recommend Definitive Paint & Design!

Gabe and his crew did an absolutely PERFECT job re-staining and painting the exterior of our home overlooking Crystal Lake. We are SO happy with their work! 1. Gabe was great with communication from the beginning with the bid through the completion of the job. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with. 2. The attention to detail was AMAZING! Our home has cedar shingles and lots of trim, and every shingle and edge looks perfect. 3. Everything about the job was very organized. Everything was cleaned up beautifully every evening. They even made sure the baby gate was back in place that keeps my pup from leaving the deck! Thank you Gabe, Dustin, and Angelo for making our home look new again! We highly recommend Definitive Paint and Design and look forward to having them do our projects in the future!

Gabe and the crew repaired and re-stained our deck, trim soffits shutters, garage doors and our goat (varnished statue on natural roof). Great job with attention to detail. We will definitely hire Definitive again!

They worked us in on short notice. The work was done quickly and professionally. The results were outstanding.

Gabe , Angelo, & Dustin all were very polite and worked very well together . was very detailed and perfectionist, with regards to painting our Deck. The Rain did not help but they hung in there and the final result are great. I would recommend them and would use Definitive Paint & Design again.

This company was very detailed and perfectionistic, with regards to painting our interior walls, the trim, and some important other items. Gabe, the owner of Definitive Paint & Design,, and Angelo, the assistant, both had very easygoing and polite demeanors, and Gabe also had excellent communication with us throughout the process, to make sure the work done was done right, on budget, and on time. Despite obstacles that were in their way, that made their jobs harder, Gabe and Angelo seemed to think it was more of a challenge and positive, learning situation, for all involved, rather than an opportunity to have conflict or complaint. Definitive Paint & Design did a great job for us, start to finish! Right from the get-go Gabe Knapp, the owner, was punctual and courteous. We appreciated his candor when discussing the scope of the proposed project and issues that arose during the project. The crew spent full days, and many evenings, working to get the job done well and in a timely manner. Although we were not living in the house during this project, and happened to live several hours away, we felt very comfortable allowing Gabe and his crew access without our presence. Gabe sent us pictures during the project, and several more upon completion. We are very happy with our beautifully, and skillfully, painted home! We look forward to using Definitive Paint & Design in the future!

He painted the living room and dining room for us in our home. He came when he said he would come, and finished on time. Many people comment on the work he did now and we are very satisfied. He was real good about cleaning up as well and he did a great job.

He works very well with customers and helps them make decisions. He's willing to make changes. He returns if necessary but I've never had to have him come back out.

He is very attentive to detail. He's punctual and does great work.
