Hired them to install a new back door and storm door. We intended to have them replace our side and front doors the next summer. They do sell good products, as the doors we selected are great quality, but they installed the door with a metal plate that goes from the outside to the inside and now we get frost forming in our house every winter across the bottom of the door inside our dining room. When we asked them to fix it they said it wasn't their problem and I'd have to figure it out myself. The old doors didn't have this issue.

Since i live near their office i went down there to look at their storm door displays. One of their staff came over to explain things to me and gave me a brochure about storm doors. On another day i made an appointment for a salesman to come to my house. Alex the salesman is a nice person and not at all pushy to sell me a door. A few days later i went back to the office because i had more questions. Several of the staff explained things to me about door locks and other door hardware. The staff in the office were all friendly and helpful. And the crew that installed the storm door were also pleasant and professional. I am pleased with the results.

Purchased a new garage door opener from Home Depot and hired Home, Door & Window Products to install it. They did a very nice job at a fair price, and cleaned up after the job. They were quick and professional.

A new seal was installed along with a new push-button keypad opener.

Well. The response was prompt and communication attentive. Quote was what was charged and work appears to be done correctly the first time.

That I just felt that if I had got more than one choice that I could compare the work I had nothing to compare it with. Nail slack, the back of it fell off and I had to have somebody else to put it back you know the nail slack on the door.

Never chose Home, Door, and Window Products. Their Marvin window quote was 35% higher for the Windows and 3x the cost for installation. Better shop around to make sure they aren't giving you a "too busy for you" quote.

The Marvin products are wonderful. Ive purchased Pella, Anderson and now Marvin. The Marvin doorwall and windows are very well made, work great and look great. The service provided left much to be desired - I had to call numerous times to have the estimator come and quote the job. I understand they were very busy at the time - Once I placed the order I had to call several times to get an estimated delivery and install date - Unless you spoke with the Marvin sales person no one else could help you at HD&WP - The basics of the installation went well. Door and windows level and firmly set. - However the esthetics of the job were very poorly done. Examples - There were numerous dings and scratches in the wood interior. - We paid to have molding put around the door wall and windows. The molding was well cut and matched but the nails weren't set or caulked - Caulk around the window was sloppy - Floor molding in front of door wall was not finished - Mounting screw holes were not filled - Molding at top of door wall was in set but never fastened to the door Finally, I would have thought someone from HD&WP would have called to follow up after the installation

I called they came over the next day to give me an estimate for the door I needed. My door would not go down all they way and were able to get it to close all the way. I did order a garage door and am waiting for the door to arrive I was told 2 weeks. They were very nice and professional.

We are using the garage to store things we recovered from our basement after a sewer backup. My wife noticed the gasket at the bottom of the door was worn & missing a piece. She was afraid critters would get in. I explained the situation to Jim @ Home door & Window and he arranged for service within 2 hours. Mike did a great and quick job.

All excellent work in every respect. I would recommend and use them for all door replacement. An excellent vendor experience.

We were satisfied with the installation of all but one of the windows which was placed on top of a window sill instead of on the outside where the original one was located this resulted in loosing 2-3 inches of the sill and space at the top where a window treatment needed to be. Otherwise the installers did a good job and everything was trimmed out and looked very finished when they left. We had a couple of issues with trim and function and in all cases Home & Door had someone come out to resolve them in a timely manner. I would recommend this company.

The salesman came out and measured the door opening and had some questions about the current setup for the door. He called one of the installers and had them come out to make sure everything was okay with the opening. When they received the door they called me and made a time to install the door. The installers were very professional and did a beautiful job that I was very happy with.

All in all we are happy with the windows. Sales experience was good and we dealt with two different representatives but both were solid. No high pressure and when we visited the showroom we got to take our time and it really helped us decide which model of the window we wanted. Took a little longer than expected for the windows to arrive from the factory. When the installation crew came out the glass in one of the windows shattered during the install and one window was simply the wrong size (despite two separate measurements). Took about 3 to 4 weeks to get the replacement sash and glass for the broken windows and the right sized one for the other. Installation crew was professional and cleaned up everything very well. We are still waiting for a new screen (hole in the original) for one of the larger windows. Should be here soon. It was a lot of money but we did shop around and we felt the Integrity windows from Home Door & Window offered the best balance of quality vs price in a clad fiberglass window.

Things went well with them. Their charges were $2500 for the windows and $2500 for the doors. I liked the installers and the manager. The manager helped me a lot. I liked them but I don’t have anything specific to say. I’m actually using them again.

Gordon from sales gave us our original quote. He was extremely knowledgeable and broke everything down so we were absolutely comfortable with the product (Marvin) and the process. Since our home is larger (3700+ sq ft) and includes a dozen or so custom windows alongside a daylight walkout basement, our quote was too much for us to do at once. Gordon helped us break it down into three phases, and this was the first to be completed. The installation went extremely smooth, and the crew was in and out in one day. Prior to the installation, we spoke with multiple people at the store and they were all helpful in keeping us informed. The end product is terrific and the difference is staggering. We were so impressed with the windows that we had Gordon come back out and quote us on a new front door which included two side lights. They then completed this work several weeks later and it too was another A+ experience. We will, without a doubt, use Home, Door & Window Products again in the future.

It was beautiful and I was so happy until this Spring 2014 when one of the vertical panels developed a crack about 10 inches long and also another smaller one further down. We called the company and spoke to Jim who said someone would stop out. This is Easter time and we had a rabbit decoration hanging on the storm door in front.. Whoever (if ever) someone came and said they could see no problem. We said they couldn't see behind the decoration and why didn't they knock and talk to us??? Said they had knocked and rung door bell (an out and out lie because we don't have a door bell). Told us Home Door would not do anything to fix the door because it was the thin veneer that was cracking. I asked why $3000 for a thin veneer door when it was shipped in from Oregon and solid wood. Anyway, they now said they would do nothing ( I asked if they could sand and fill the crack and restain-not a major deal for them but a major deal for us. No, they will do nothing from the company and said they would contact the manufacturer and so that was how it was left and it has been weeks now so it seems nothing will be done until we hire someone else to fix it.

The person who answered the phone indicated that a service person would be at my house the next day. He mentioned a time. I've forgotten what it was but the service person was there on time. He surveyed the situation, put the door back on the track and, just for good measure tightened things up and gave it a lube job. What else can one expect ?

Estimating was fast and description of the work was exactly as performed. Install crew came on a hot 90deg. July day and did an excellent job, no issues after 3 months of use. Price was reasonalbe conisdering the addiitonal work that needed to be done inside my garage to accept a new roll up track style door (move joist, add wood for the track, etc.)

THEY ALSO WANTED MOST AND I MEAN MOST OF THE BALANCE AFTER THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THEY DEMANDED THIS MUCH MONEY BECAUSE THEY SAID THE DOOR WAS DAMAGED BY THE MANUFACTURER...THESE PEOPLE ARE ALL SMOKING FROM THE SAME PIPE!!!

Windows were installed yesterday. The installers showed up on time and called prior to arriving to give us an update. We had about 16 original windows to the house replaced which were originally installed in concrete/behind brick. Obviously they struggled but finished timely. A window is a window, the key to a quality install is in the finish inside and out. The installers did an excellent job on the finish trim. The installers worked like a team, each had their own respobsibility and worked quickly. They were clean, professional, and courteous.

Terrible. We went to this company to get a new front entrance door. The salespeople we friendly, but we did not have them install the door. We chose a door initially, then went to the showroom to select hardware, color, etc. They upsold us a more expensive door. That was fine with us, but after that, for the next few weeks, we would get calls from the sales staff asking about other small details that they needed from us. It would have been nice if they asked us about all the various details at once, rather than spreading it out over several weeks, dragging out the process. This became frustrating to the point that I had to ask several times, "Is there anything else you need from us?". Finally, after several weeks, the sales person called us and told us it would take 10 weeks to get the door. Since we had already invested so much time with this company (and paid them the downpayment), we decided to go forward with it. After several more weeks, we received a call from the sales person stating that it would take 3 additional months to get the door. At that point, we were fed up with this company and their inability to get a door. Also, the sales person seemed more concerned about whether the manufacturer could count on us keeping the door order. Enough was enough. We requested our deposit back and cancelled the order. This was the worst contractor experience we've been through. Extremely disappointing. After that, we went through a different door company who was able to get and professionally install a door that exceeded our expectations in about 6 weeks. We gave that contractor an overall grade of A on Angie's List.

They are very responsible. The service time is fast. They are very professional. They just do great work.

Purchased two full frame double hung windows. One was mulled, one was a single window. Both were full frame windows installed into the rough opening because the previous window frame was old and beat up and I wanted it it removed so the new window could be installed true and level. They were installed in August. The installers did a great job and left the jobsite clean. Some other minor siding work was done as well. The exterior work looks really good but I care more about the inside. Months later (March) while doing sheetrock prep work in the room I found one window was not level. (5/8" along the horizontal) After warranty consult and visit, the installer told me that the window could not be put in completely level due to the fickle nature of mulled windows and that the installation warranty would not be valid if he were to try and set it perfectly level. He could not guarantee the sashes would correctly seal and traverse their range of motion when he was done. He was still willing to do the work but he would not guarantee it. Needless to say neither one of those options pleased me. So after taking off from work 2 hours for a warranty consult and then another day to wait for the repair I was persuaded to leave it as is. Sacrificing the installation warranty wasn't worth it to me which is why I went with a Marvin approved installer in the first place. I feel this should have been conveyed to me before I took the time off. It still doesn't make sense to me that I buy a square window, but it can't be hung level when plenty of space is provided. I don't do this day in and day out but it seems that a square is a square. I was assured that this is not the case and in order for the windows to be energy efficient and seal properly, they needed to be set as they were. Since the other window is dead straight, it's obvious to me that the installer knows this is how it should be done(He did state that it was much easier with single windows). Whether it's related to the installation or it's manufacturing tolerance, I will avoid mulled windows and possibly Marvin in the future. I'll call Marvin to talk about their QC and installation requirements and if they agree I will have another contractor repair it when I make my next window purchase. Between the phone calls, emails and visits I have too much time sunk into HD&W. The experience just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. My advice: The communications between all of the various groups in the company is quite poor and was a major source of frurstation for me. If you have special instructions, post them on the wall next to your window or door.

Last night when I got home the garage door opener wouldn't go down. Motor just ran for a time without any movement of door. I peeked inside the housing and saw a broken gear and knew I needed to have someone repair this who would also be able to determine root cause of problem to not only fix the broken part but determine why it happened and correct that as well. I went to garage door opener (Liftmaster) web site and did search for nearby authorized dealers. I then did a check on Angie's list for the nearest providers who also were identified by Liftmaster as having "ProVantage" certification. From that I identified that the nearest dealer was only a few miles away and had good ratings on Angie's list Because it was evening when this occurred I called company promptly when they opened the next day at 9 AM and was transferred to service call scheduler who I explained problem to and model I had and he said he could have someone out same day which was EXACTLY what I wanted to hear. He told me price of Service Call $89 and how much part would cost assuming it was part I told him was broken. He told me I would be contacted by phone by repairman sometime later in the day. At 1 PM I was contacted by repairman and he told me he would be to my home between 2 and 4 PM. He arrived on time and diagnosed immediately root cause was the "traveller" hitting the stop bolt on track putting stress on mechanism eventually breaking it. He replaced the part and readjusted operation to avoid issue. He was done with the job in around 1/2 hour and I have a functioning garage door opener again and know another thing to keep an eye out for in future. I was very pleased with responsiveness of company and that repairman was able to fix issue quickly and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
