The bulk of the work was done in one day, including clean up. There was a little difficulty with a light shaft, since the upper decking was thicker than original. This was because the existing plywood was basically sound, but had started to de-laminate. A second layer was installed, because the problem was more about the uneven surface than about bad wood. Also, it was less expensive than removing the entire second story roof. A call to the light shaft installer corrected this with very little difficulty and no added cost to me. An 8-foot section of soffit and fascia came apart, and I asked that it be fixed. This was not resolved that day, but required some discussion and another visit. After they left I found a few small scraps of old roofing and a few nails that had missed clean up. I am very happy with the new roof, and expect it to last a long time.

The company sent a high-pressure salesman who told me that any moss on the roof was due to a leak which is untrue. He tried to scare me into getting the roof replaced as quickly as possible. The salesman only looked at the roof from the ground before providing the estimate which was much higher than two others I had received.

Their bid was the highest of the 3 I had received - but I feel they would provide a quality job. Also they quote a lesser known shingle brand - Atlas. There was no compelling reason to justify the higher bid. The salesman was very nice and on time at each appt. A roof job comes down to materials and labor (make sure what brands you are getting for the underlayment, ice guard and shingles especially) so a high difference in bids - if you are comparing like materials - is labor and cost you pay for the reputation of the contractor.

We had a wind storm and had some shigles blown off. My husband called and asked for an estimate. At first I was very impressed. Scott showed up on a Saturday as stated and told my husband it was such a small area he would fix it at no charge and get us an estimate to replace our roof in the spring. Our roof is 23 years old so we knew it was needing replaced soon and asked for an estimate. He initially came out Dec. 22 and since it was Christmas he was coming back Dec. 26th, He did not show, no phone call either. My husband finally called him back a few days later and scheduled a second date, again no show. He finally showed up on the wrong datre 1/4/13 and did do the repair.. However when done, he came to the door and asked for a check for $140 (he had told my husband no cost). At that point I just wanted to be done with it so I paid. He did not want me to make it out to the company but to him personally which I found odd. He then said he would call my husband and send us an estimate in the next few days. It is now February 14 and we have never heard from Scottt. I am getting estimates for both a new roof and siding and you can bet I will not hire Sherrif-Goslen!

During a big storm we found water dripping around the light fixture in the ceiling of our guest room. We called Sheriff-Goslin to have someone come give us an estimate for repairing whatever it was that was letting the water in. The next day Scott (who, as it turns out, is also the branch manager) arrived at the time of the appointment and climbed up on the roof to take a look. A while later he came down and told us that the flashing around one of exhaust vents had come loose and that he had fixed it. He refused to accept any payment for it saying that it had been a simple repair. Since that time our house has return to its former watertight condition. You can bet that the next time we need a roofer, we will call Sheriff-Goslin first. Scott has proven himself to be a man of integrity.

I would absolutely never do business with them again. They left rotten boards that should have been replaced. They also left rotten rafters that should have been called to my attention.
