DISCOUNT POOL & SPAS

Last winter, I got my hot tub winterized by DISCOUNT POOL & SPAS. In Spring when the same company opened the hot tub it started leaking. They didn't do a good job to winterize my hot tub, few attempts to fix the problem didn't do much good, then DISCOUNT POOL & SPAS didn't respond to my calls. I left with the leaking hot tub. Not professionals in what they do with hot tubs, I will have to take them to court.

We were disappointed with both the installation of the fence as well as the responsiveness of the contractor. The contractor would often schedule appointments and either not show up or call after the appointment time to say he couldn?t make. The installation initially done in the month of July and was poorly done to say the least. Poles were crooked, sections were sagging, just sloppy work. Area around the grass the poles could literally be removed by my 2 year old. Contractor came back, after several attempts, to repair and cemented over the poles at which point they could not be removed at all (reminder this was supposed to be a child safety removable fence). Again the contractor said he would come back to repair and never showed up or returned calls. I could have done the install myself with a much better result than the so-called ?professional? I hired. Finally the company called for payment and I had explained our poor experience and said the contractor never returned to correct the install and would not return calls. We are now end of September early October. I was told one of the owners would come to the house to review the work and assess. I further specified that I did not want the original contractor to return to our house. Again nobody showed up from Discount Pools, and then weeks later the same Contractor shows up at the door. He goes to the back with a hammer and screwdriver and begins to chip away at the excess cement. At this point I was done with this company and just wanted him out of my house. I paid the balance and I?m done with this place. If you need to buy chemicals or pool supplies from the store you?re probably fine. However I would avoid their Build or Installation services.

I have a spa that is almost 20 years old but it is inside so the tub and cabinet are still in great shape My initial call was because I had a leak and I could not find it I was also planning to go into the store and look to pick up steps and a rail to make getting in and out of the spa a little easier. I talked to Alfredo the service manager and set up an appointment and told him about the other supplies I needed and he said he would bring out the steps and rail when he came for the service call to save me a trip. His first visit he saw that the leak was from the pump and had me drain the spa and came right back out the next day to take care of that by replacing the o ring to make a long story short that turned out to be just one of the problems that I had with the pump and motor and between Alfredo and Lance another service tech they came out for two weeks on the plumbing problems I was having and as soon as they took care of all the leaks then I started having problems with the relays and electrical side of the spa and they were able to get that also. What I would like to say about Discount Pool and Spa is everyone that I have dealt with from Clint the store manager at Belleville and of course Alfredo and Lance in service to the ladies that answer the phones they have a top notch operation and if you need a pool spa or service on a pool or spa I would recommend that you give them a call. They also have several locations and serve a wide area.

Their prices are competitive. They are very good people. They are consistent and answer my calls. They show up when they are supposed to.
