Courteous personnel. Cleaned up project daily. No mess left. Quiet while working. Did not cause any disturbance to our daily routine. Definitely would hire them again for any project.

Scheduling was prompt. They removed the cabinet doors and then three days later they brought them back and rehung them. Thirty-eight doors were refinished inside and out, and they matched the color with the cabinet frames which did not require refinishing. Easy to work with, answered all our questions, and came back to touch up a few slight imperfections. We would highly recommend their work.

Company was so easy to work with. Got a realistic estimate, the owner helped me narrow down on the appropriate color to use, and the entire job was done beautifully in a matter of days.

Bruinsma Decorating did a fantastic job with our paint project. I gathered three quotes for the job. While they were the highest of the three, my gut told me they were the one's for the job. Boy was I right. We had a big job, multiple rooms and floors, vaulted ceilings, stairways, hallways, etc. We chose to have the floor trim, doors, window frames all redone - not just the walls. The amount of prep work and attention to every last detail lead to a finished product of the highest quality that my wife and I could not be happier with. Bruinsma Decorating is a small family business who treats you with every courtesy and your house like it was their own. I recommend them to anyone who wants it done right. Barney and his sons painted the walls and ceilings of my home and did an extensive amount of staining of the woodwork as well. The job was quite a challenge as the house is quite old but Barney's crew was unfazed. The house has undergone a complete transformation from a "renters special" to a gorgeous Craftsman bungalow. It was a pleasure working with Barney and he was very attentive and responsive to communications.

Barney et.al. tackled a paint job that was done in our garage about 3 years ago. The paint did not stick and was pealing off the old paint - it was quite a mess. A lot of scraping, sanding, and painting two coats. The crew was exceptionally punctual, tidy and clean, paid close attention to detail and did an exceptional job. We will certainly hire them if we have another project.

They did a tremendous job painting our kitchen cabinets, as well as, walls and doors in the basement. Uses all the best products available, no matter the source. Certainly on the expensive side, but they earn it with gorgeous work and superior customer service and communication. If you want it done right, Barney and Sons deliver!

We moved into our Thornapple River waterfront home, located in Caledonia, in August 2020. A complete/extensive renovation was planned, which included interior painting of all rooms, cabinets, doors, etc...After obtaining multiple quotes, as well as reading several reviews, we made the decision to award our business to Barney & his team at Bruinsma Decorating. Their quality of work is excellent, the respect Barney & his team showed us & our home throughout this major project was very much appreciated and we will recommend Bruinsma Decorating to anyone. Like any major renovation job, not everything went according to plan. However, when items had to be addressed/resolved, Barney was prompt in doing so, to our satisfaction. A very big job, well done!...Thanks to Barney, Aaron & Andy for stepping up and meeting our demands & expectations.

I had cheaper quotes when I was looking for someone to paint areas on all 3 floors in my home; however, when reading the fine print, the others had a lot of things they did not include. With Bruinsma, whatever little extras came up, as they always will, Barney will make an extra trip to the store to pick up whatever is needed. I also was sold on the Aura Benjamin Moore and am SO glad Barney took the time to explain the difference and frankly, talk me into it! The job began a little late and ran a little late.....it is necessary to check in with Barney as the home office does not always communicate well, but I wasn't in any hurry. Anyone doing a home improvement job shouldn't be, so no worries. My only complaint, and it's a small one, would be in the only room that needed the ceiling painted , the light fixture was reattached to the ceiling without giving me a chance to rinse out the dead bugs! Other than that, I would definitely recommend Bruinsma and use them again!

We have used Barney and his team for various painting projects - some big and some small, some outdoors and some indoors. He is always professional, careful and caring, respectful of us, his customers, our time and our property. Every project was completed with careful attention to detail and doing it right. I had an entry foyer and dining room project with wallpaper removal and painting. They also repaired two ceiling cracks from foundation settling. Barney helped to choose the new paint colors based on my preferences. Work was done in a timely manner with attention to detail. The estimate was fair given the extensive work that was done to remove glue from the wallpaper removal. I will use them again for further projects in the home later this year.

The crew from Bruinsmaâ s decorating did an incredible job on my project. They were meticulous about their work and the project ended up as good or better than I expected. I will definitely use them again if I have another project around my home.

Bruinsma not only painted a ceilings, they painted outdoor trim of doors, deck, overheads of doors, etc. They did an outstanding job and it was top notch. Barney Bruinsma and his sons are ultimate professionals. Great workmanship, incredible work ethic, very skilled and discrete. They painted two floors of our house. Their work transformed the look of our entire house. The house looks even better now than we moved into into ito, brand new. They are detail-oriented and provide great help choosing colors and supporting you through the sometimes agonizing moments of making color choices knowing that perhaps you will live with those choices for many years to come. They may be a bit pricier than your average painter but they provider superior work. The quality of their work, their professionalism and their demeanor make it worthwhile.

Barney and his team were excellent, hard working, friendly, and very easy to work with. Their attention to detail and dedication to our project was top notch. Communication was great! We had 8 rooms painted including high ceilings, hallways, ceilings repaired from water damage, smaller bathrooms painted, interior doors grained/exterior painted, and window staining completed. These guys are true pros. Worth every penny. They went out of their way to solve some problems with a wall in the dining room and a ceiling issue. Would hire them again in a heart beat. I've hired less expensive painting contractors. I've learned my lesson. No substitute for quality and attention to detail.
