Excellent work, were on time, answered all my questions, and the crew was very friendly. An all around great experience and I am one who gets anxious about this sort of stuff but this went smooth. Concrete came from Consumers Concrete and the sales rep. also answered my questions, was a real nice chap and the truck showed up on time. Made the cuts where needed, gave me the watering recommendations (as did the Consumers Concrete rep), and they came back later to some further troweling and pulled the forms. Will return tomorrow to backfill. Highly recommend for residential work.
Description of Work: Had them form and pour a 10' X 8' X 4" slab for a shed and also tore out my old driveway concrete and poured new app. 38' X 10' X 4".

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We had been looking for someone to do the work, and had two other guys come out to give us an estimate. The first was triple what Ron charged us, with lots of bells and whistles that we didn't need (drain pipe, curb, etc.). The second fellow never returned an estimate to us. Ron was doing some work on our block a couple of weeks ago, and when I asked him to come take a look at the job, he came right over, looked it over, listened to what we wanted, and gave us a price on the spot. We called him back a week later to schedule a time, and had to wait a couple days because he was out of town. He called us back, and was out at the house the next day with a written estimate for us to sign before they began the work. This job was complicated by the fact that a 2" x 3" crack had opened up in the walkway, with a hold that was at least six feet deep underneath (we measured with a pole). We didn't know how big the hole was, and it turned out that there was an old well pit 5' x 5' x 6' deep under the old walk, lined with concrete blocks. Ron dumped all the old concrete into the hole, filled it with sand, tamped it down and didn't charge us for hauling away the broken concrete or for the extra labor to fill in the hole. He and his guys were meticulous about the details, including chipping away the excess concrete that was remaining on the foundation, lining up the walkway with existing structures (deck and fence), set a new fence post for us (no charge), checked the drainage, and did a stellar job finishing it up. They cleaned up all of their work, leaving nothing but a new walkway, 5' x 25' x 4" thick. The whole job was done in one day: they were here by 8:30 a.m. and done by 2:00 p.m. Sealer was applied the next morning, when they came back to take the forms out. They worked around a garden as well, doing little to no damage. We couldn't be happier with their work. Professional, meticulous, and a great price.
Description of Work: Old walkway/sidewalk along the back of a 95-year old house needed replacement. Ron and his team broke up the old walkway, prepped and poured a new walkway. About 125 square feet.
