Description of Work: We contacted Judy to reupholster a couch,chair and footstool I paid her 350.00 up front.She agreed it would be done in about 3 weeks. We waited for over six weeks and kept getting reasons that didn't make sense about why it wasn't done yet.After six weeks she brought the chair and footstool.At first glance it looked good and then she wanted the other half of the money before the couch was done. I gave her a check.When I looked more closely at the chair, I noticed that |deep inside the seat, there wasn't any fabric and the stuffing was visable.Also after sitting on the chair the trim which was hot glued came off and there was hot glue all over the fabric. I called her the next day and told her I was not satisfied with the job. I took the chair in and showed her what was wrong and that I put a stop on the check for the couch because the deal was that she would get the other half of the money when she finished the job and that I didn't trust her to do a professional job on my couch. She told me that she was very insulted by that comment. After we returned home my husband called her and told her that we were going to come and pick up our couch. She said she thought that was a good idea. When we got there she had set our couch outside in the parking lot and she wasn't there. We had to pay someone else to redo the chair ,footstool, and couch,plus we had to buy more fabric. I feel like I wasted 350.00 plus had to set on lawn chairs in my living room for six weeks for nothing. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
