Paid to have a refrigerator delivered and my old one picked up. Paid 3400 for the fridge. They damaged the fridge and my house as well as did not take the old one. I was a decades long customer. Manager did not make things right. Never going back.

My experience at the store was fine. My problem was with the delivery men. After telling them where I wanted the refridgerator to go they put it in the spot, removed the dolly and plopped down a ticket for me to sign. I told them I wanted the doors reversed because the way it opened did not work for the spot. They looked at me like they didn't know what I was talking about. I know this is an option because I have five refridgerators throughout my house. They said and quot;we'll give it a tryand quot;. He again asked me to sign the ticket and I told him I would sign it when he was done and I could inspect it. When he was done he announced that I needed an extention cord because the cord wasn't long enough to reach the 1.5 ft to the plug. Upon inspection I noticed that the cord was still coiled up and bundled in a rubber band. Well duh... of course it's not going to reach unless you uncoil it. Another example of their pure laziness. They also left the handles of my brand new white fridge covered in black finger/hand prints. They didn't remove the tape holding the drawers shut nor remove the cardboard from inside the refridgerator.

Years ago we had been cautioned about ABC, but this experience shows there is no cause for concern with ABC today. they have a new store along Westnedge strip mall, delivered a fine product, kept their promise on price, The salesmen are knowledgeable . The Sales staff and quot; forwardness and quot;may make the retiring reticent Kazoo populace a little uneasy. But if you take your time, know your prices elsewhere and stick to how low they must go to get the sale you most likely will get what you want. They were busy there which shows the public knows and trusts them. I asked a few couples exiting the store and they said they never had any problem with product or delivery. The delivery was well advanced with a range of time they would be in our area and then calling just before they arrivedl You can tell the whole system is experienced and does alot of this. Two husky guys got the stove out of the semi, set on the ground without any help and carefully walked thru door without scratching tho a tight fit.. The electrical plug had to be installed properly and I watched them like a hawk as this loose wiring was what had burned out our stove previously after only 13 years. Have never in 50 years had stove short out like that. They did some precursory basic instruction which was rather interesting as they were so husky and macho you wondered if they ever did any cooking. But they were very polite and efficient and left as quickly as they had arrived. we had no complaints Just a note about the other sales sites i n Kalamazoo . All did their best to give us the best price. If I was looking for stainless steel and some new features the outcome might have been different. Sears Kenmore had an odor and quot;Air guard and quot; feature that I would have liked but it cost over $200 more. If they would have thrown in the free plug, delivery, and removal of old I might have considered it. and quot; Air guardand quot; is a catalytic filter that you switch on when broiling fish, etc . There was only one review found online and it was from a Sears site,done years ago. I felt with such little info, it was not worth the extra money to buy Air Guard technology. I will probably be regretting it every time we do fish. Will try to do on the grill outside if I want to stay and quot;Odor free' and keep eating the amount of fish we do. . Would like to know if any one else ever has purchased such Air guard catalytic filtering in a stove.
Description of Work: We were in need of a new stove . We checked all providers in the Kalamazsoo area.. Lowes, Menards, Home Depot , Sears and ABC last. All ofthe above had worthy knowledgeable sales staff. When it got down to it it was a matter of who had the now passe' "Bisque" color in stock and the best price. ABC promptly showed us what" Bisque" models they had available in their Battle Creek warehouse, We saved over $200 getting this fine GE electric range JB640 from ABC .They delivered installled and hauled away old stove without any additional charge by Tuesday after the saturday that we decided on it. !
