 + 1 morePhil's crew arrived as scheduled. They were very professional and answered all my questions. The install went without incident and the new hot water is working well. I was pleased with the work done as working in a crawlspace is difficult and they did a great job.

Description of Work: Nothing. I stopped at Phil's Plumbing and Heating, who had installed my submersible pump some years ago, requesting an estimate on a Mitsubishi heat pump/ air conditioner system last year. He informed me that he would get back to me with the estimate. He never called. I stopped at least two more times at his store in Bad Axe MI and was give the same run around. I decided finally to go with another contractor who responded immediately and had the installation started as promised and completed in 7 hours, This was done by Jack McCain of Bayport MI, and I couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism of the installers who arrived on time dressed in uniforms and did a very neat installation. The system has been working fine since the installation. The job was done for $3000 less than another contractor from Bad Axe had bid. I would never recommend Phil to anyone after this frustrating episode. i

 + -1 moreCalled them to see if they could figure out why my toilet wouldn't flush right. Charged me $114 to replace a $5 flapper on a toilet even though I didn't "ok" the work. $45 for the call + $45 ($1/minute) of "investigative labor" + $19 ($1/minute) for "fixing it labor" + $5 for a flapper from the local hardware store for a grand total of $114. $114 for something I could have easily done myself if they would've told me what was wrong. When I questioned the cost the secretary rudely said "You're lucky I didn't charge you for both workers to be there." I could have just replaced the whole toilet for that price. Unfortunately, I do NOT recommend this company to anyone. UPDATE: A month went by and the flapper repair completed by Phil's Plumbing and Heating did not fix the problem. I decided to just replace the toilet myself. I bought an $89 complete toilet kit from a local lumber store. After removing the old toilet I found the problem! A chip clip was wedged in the drain! So much for a "master plumber" fixing the issue. They couldn't even fix a clog! The toilet has worked perfect since.
Description of Work: My toilet started flushing slow and would not empty completely. I called Phil's Plumbing and Heating to repair it.

 + -1 moreThey are the only ones in the area. The next closest is about an hour away. They came in, did their job, and then left. They are efficient. You can call up and they will call you right back to make the appointment. They will be out within the next few days.
Description of Work: I believe he came out to snake the line from the house to the sidewalk.
