Golden Construction responded to an emergency and urgent construction need. An old 8+ foot (height) by 150+ feet (length) retaining wall collapsed from severe weather, which compromised a large area of yard holding an in-ground pool. Golden recognized the potential danger, responded immediately with a very competitive estimate, and began work within a couple of days. The owner maintained ongoing communication throughout the project which was completed quickly and professionally. The rebuild is far superior to original wall. Excellent work. Recommend unconditionally.

The concrete did not dry well; the contractor covered it up with a white stain and accused me of wanting it white. Chipped siding and concrete on siding I also painted one slab of the walkway white and left the rest wanting more money to change the colour, which was also never requested by me. The project took a month to finish due to booking it a year ahead.

Chuck and his team were very timely, professional, and answered any questions my wife or I had. This was a large project requiring over 29 yards on concrete. I would recommend this crew.

contractor damaged my siding, brush strokes uneven, their process had stained concrete and left boot prints. had a small retaining wall for garden done and the top line of bricks had two spots put on incorrect and is not lined straight, other wall left unfinished and has large gaps in brickwork, now only a few months later our concrete is delaminating.

Excellent workmanship and was very accommodating to our needs. The construction turned out better than expectations. I am hiring him to do more work for me in the early spring.

Promptly visited the site for providing quote. Chuck listened to our wish list, then provided ideas that enhanced and improved upon what we had envisioned. He was able to fit in our project schedule in spite of the many days of rain. The final result is a well built and good looking retaining wall. Good quality workmanship that will endure the test of time and weather here in Michigan.

Chuck built a treated lumber retaining wall. The design, engineering, and construction were outstanding. His communication was prompt, thorough, and understandable. He was very personable, he listened and, was adaptable. A great choice for your retaining wall project.

Update on the work on my driveway. They will be coming back to replace the second half of the driveway, but not until October because it couldn't get scheduled before that.

It was supposed to be a 2 day project and took 5 days. The first pour was fine, but the next one the driver wanted to get out of there so he mixed the cement faster and Chuck did not say anything, stir hardened too fast and did not pour right. The repair job did not turn out right so we are left with a unsatisfied job. Chucks answer was, you got a neck of a price. My husband posted a 5 star before the job was actually done.

They were very responsible, it was a great job, and accurate.

Very professional and if I had any issues he would respond and had no issues addressing my concerns.
