I have used them for several years. They do a good job.

The workers were here promptly at 8:30 am. They were very professional. Removed all wood and debris as promiced. Cleaned up pretty well. Several good size dropped log holes left to deal with. We'll have to step very carefully until we get all of them filled in.

Bryan Cloutie was the person who sold the job to me; He was professional and knowledgeable.He also did not try to sell me on anything extra, in fact he talked me out of work that he did not think was urgent! I could not have asked them to to a better job. They showed up to the min that they told me they would be there. Worked quickly and as quietly as they could. Cleaned up after they left, (in fact, I think they cleaned up a bunch of stuff that was not their mess.) I will never look for another tree company because of the fine work they did:) Thanks guys-

They were pretty good but they were expensive. They did the work well but the cost was high. Their responsiveness was pretty good. They were quite professional. They did good work but it cost a lot.

We use them all the time. They are good. We have a problem with crabgrass and their treatment doesn’t seem to take care of it. We’ve been using them for 10 years. I would give them the highest grade on the trees but not too much on the lawn care. They take good care of the lawn but they’ve not been able to manage this particular kind of grass in our yard. The price is fine. They are good. They just can’t manage this grass. I’m not sure anybody can. They are very responsive. They are punctual. They are very professional. They are good guys. If we call them, they will come out right away. Sometimes they are supervised to come. They try to handle it. If there’s a reason for instance like with this grass, there’s a reason they can’t handle it. They explained that to us. They are very kind. They leave us a card. If they see you in the yard, they come and talk to you. If they know you are a girl, they don’t just put stuff in the yard and they’ll come over and talk to you and all that.

They were fine. The service is great but they are expensive.

I had been using a "bargain" tree service, and they couldn't tell me what was wrong with my tree. The Davey representative accurately diagnosed the problem and also pointed out that the other service had been climbing my trees using spikes-- not good. The Davey crew removed the ailing tree from a difficult spot in my yard without damaging my other plantings, and they took similar care when planting the replacement tree. All of the technicians I dealt with were knowledgeable and professional. They were able to answer all of my questions, and they pointed out several problems with my plants that I had not noticed. Yes, they're more expensive than some other companies, but for me the expertise is worth it.

They get the highest level of professionalism. He's name is Josh; he is excellent. He would come out here at his own time. We bought a lot of mature trees from them too. They tell you what they've done and do a report on the door. You can pay them online. They were right there where they should be. They were very professional.

The did a very professional job cutting and trimming. They knew what they were doing. The cable support system ties the 3 main trunks of our silver maple to try an avoid one of the trunks splitting off. They worked steadily and did a good job of cleaning up after themselves.

We have used their services for over ten years. We have had one instance where one of their workmen accidentally trampled an existing plant, but they stood behind it. There was another instance where a plant did not thrive well and they replaced it without any troubles. They have backed up everything they have done. We have been satisfied with their service and would recommend them to others.

We worked with Ryan. He was fine. Their responsiveness was good and their clean-up was excellent.

After a second call to Davy to remove and grind a small stump from our front yard, he arrived; the stump was surrounded by decorative rock which I raked away from the stump and also pulled back the weed preventative fabric to make their job easier. The stump was removed quickly by machine; my problem starts with the clean-up which I considered sloppy; the rock was raked back but there was weed fabric left sticking up all around the stump area and clumps of dirt left in our driveway; I finished the clean-up by cutting back the fabric, of which he should have replaced back and then raked the rock over it, like it had been before and I did better raking of the rock and picking up the clumps of dirt from our drive. This was a small job of $80.00 and in my opinion the attitude was get it done quick and move on to the bigger money jobs; I would not hire Davy again.

My trees are pretty much dead now. The leaves are brown and it’s crippled. The leaves were green initially and they were supposed to come in and spray. I don’t know if they did the wrong formula but my trees all got infected in the middle of June July. I tried to call the office and they said that they were not going to charge me and they are still sending me bills. I call to complain about the service but they did not return my call. I look online on how to treat the disease and they said that you should spray right when the pink part shows up. My trees were about to blossom and they came in late. I called them and they didn’t come on time. Their schedule was off and my trees looked brown. They came out and look at the state of the tree and said that they were not going to charge but I still got billed. My yard was the worst looking in the neighborhood.

Of the three bids I obtained Davey Tree was the lowest. The crew was excellent, young, friendly, and competent. They took down 3 trees, chipped and cleaned up. They even gave me grass seed to replace the grass that had died under the fallen tree. A second team came out to grind the stumps. Again friendly and very professional. They worked hard to grind not only the main stump but the large extending roots as well. Everything was cleaned up well. Our subdivision also lost several trees in the storm and I contracted Davey to clean them up as well. We got the same excellent service. The stump grinding in this case was very difficult because the trees that fell were located on a berm with surrounding landscape. Davey was able to grind the stumps without damaging the surrounding landscape. The person who comes out to quote the job is a certified arborist. Along with the quote, you get a wealth of information about your existing landscape and suggestions for improvement. Very Satisfied.

Three different services were all performed above my expectations. Polite, efficient, well-dressed crews. Nice looking and efficient equipment. Very competitive price. Highly recommend, and would use them again.

We use Davey to fertilize and to do weed prevention on our lawn and the lawn's of the properties we lease. Have been using them for years and are pleased with their service.

Trim some dead wood and fertilized. They fertilize yearly. The only reason they got a B is they missed some dead wood and automatically re set up return. I have had them back and will use them again.

Tree was very large, approx 60 feet tall & 40 inch diameter at base, Very close to house, approx 15 inches at base. Approx 3 inches from gutter. Very large branches overhanging house. House was built around tree in 1951. Had to remove tree because roots were beginning to push in basement foundation, causing cracks in cinder block mortar joints. 10-9-13 Company used crane to remove the top of tree. Then dropped approx 20 foot section of truck on front lawn. Came back on 10-15 to remove trunk. Came back 10-16 to grind and remove stump. Guys who ground stump asked if I wanted the wood chips for floor/shrub beds. They then did wonderful job of spreading the wood chips in my beds for mulch. They had created ruts in lawn from crane, trucks and forklifts used on jobs. They filled all ruts with top soil and grass seeds. (They had asked if seeds were O.K.) They cleaned all the leaves /branches etc from my roof and gutters. Overall I was very pleased with work. All of the workmen were polite and pleasant. They answered every questions I had throughout the job. For price, they were not the least expensive. I got 5 estimates, ranging from $2,300 - $4,600. With exception of $2,300 bid, price quotes for removing tree were very close. I had most confidence in Davey explanation of how they would do job.

They came out within a few days and left the estimate in my door. However, the price was significantly higher than my next estimate. They also left a detailed proposal for preventive and ongoing tree maintenance. While appreciated, prices were too high.
