There was a crew of 4 people came out, two were good, one was ok, one was an apprentice. They appeared to be subscontactors, they didn't seem like they were actual employees of Pella. The apprentice used a crowbar to extract the old window frames, ruining my limestone window sill. When I addressed them about about the issue, they said they would just patch it up with patch cerement. which is obviously not the same thing. Everything with the doors went well. They did miss one metal door jam on one of the doors, which it originally there. I called them about this, and they did send someone out to put the metal door jam in. I also did not like the haste that they had. It seemed like they were just trying to finish up with me and move on to the next customer, therefore lacking the care in craft manship I feel I deserve when paying for a service. I still have to call them back, because the weather stripping on the storm door and the weather is wearing away, and the doors aren't even a year old yet. I don't know what they will do at this point to make that right with me.

They were excellent. They did a super job and they did it quickly and efficiently and there were no mistakes. They had to delay the install date because one of the original installers was on disability. Once they got a certified installer they came and did an excellent job. The only problem we had was we had to wait a little bit longer than expected, about 5 weeks or so because of their problem getting a certified installer. But the good point is they didn't try to go ahead and do it without a certified installer. I called the alarm company to come out the date that we had scheduled. After they rescheduled, we had to call the alarm company to come and hook the alarm back up. That was a bit of an inconvenience but what choice did we have? They also had to recaulk on because it was hot. It looked okay but once it tried there was a bubble in it. That was no problem, they came out and redid it. They were also able to adjust the door so it was easier to slide. Their crew captain came out and he was very nice and he was able to get everything resolved. The brand is the brand and when you stick with a brand you have to put up with some of the issues that come with supply and demand.

We paid in advance to get a discount on the service, which in restrospect was a bad idea because they have absolutely no incentive to make right everything that has gone wrong (listed below): The quote process was not as comprehensive as I would have expected. When having new doors installed, we assumed that hardware would be on them. It was installed on 2 of the 3 doors but not the door to the garage, and we were told that was our responsibility. In addition, the salesman did not clarify that the front door would be finished but not the garage door, so we were left with natural wood to be painted on one door but a completely finished front door. The salesman should have clarified all of this up front, given the amount we were spending with Pella I expected higher level of service, or at least that this be brought up up front. Blinds were installed in the front door side windows when we did not want this feature. The craftsmanship around the front door is a bit poor compared to what I would expect given how much we paid. You can see where the nails are in the trim, there are a few finishing touches left undone. One of the installers was very short with my wife all day and very grumpy, in addition mumbling his frustrations and swearing under his breath when there are children around. The installers did not show her or I how to use the blinds. Given the grumpiness I don't think they wanted to stick around to do so. The blinds on the front door windows work differently on either side. One does not tilt properly. Even though we didn't want them - if we're stuck with the blinds, I'd like them to work correctly. I was asked to sign a form that the installation was done which I did not sign due to the door hardware and other concerns. I found it frustrating that I was asked to sign this when it stated on the form that we had been shown how to use the doors and walked around for an inspection, when the installers had not done this. However given the grumpiness I wasn't interested in dealing with them about it. We do like the doors a lot, they are very nice, but I suppose I expected a much higher level of service, craftsmanship, and professionalism out of a brand like Pella especially when the expense is so high. After contacting the salesman to address these concerns, he said to expect a call the following Monday that never came. I had to call Pella myself on Wednesday and was told that she was planning to call but "had been very busy" which is a terrible excuse. The sales team blames the operations and the operations blames the sales team. They can't coordinate internally to serve the needs of the customer. They finally sent someone out a week later to (we though) resolve the issues. Instead he just took pictures and to expect a follow up call. Which has not yet come, a week later. The sales director told us to just have a locksmith install the garage hardware and he'd reimburse us. We'll see if the reimbursement ever comes. Overall: DO NOT PAY THEM IN ADVANCE. If you have any problems, you will get the complete run-around from them. Lesson learned on my part. It's probably better to go to a smaller contractor than a big company like this because they really don't seem to care about resolving these problems. Update as of 2 months later: Pella has corrected the major problems, although slowly. As I said, the doors are very nice so I do not regret purchasing the product itself. I would not pay in advance though, so as to ensure speedy service so they can secure the payment.

Very professional, knowledgeable, punctual. It was a great experience. The Pella rep came to my house to discuss what windows would work for me. She met me at the showroom to go over the window I chose. The Pella installers were great. Showed me how to work the windows. Cleaned up afterwards. Very organized. Would highly recommend.

Yes, everything went really well. The windows fit to a T. Both the provider, Pella Company, and the sub-contractor who was hired by Pella to installed the windows were exceptionally gracious in helping to explain to us the engineering and manufacturing of the windows, the operation of them, the warranty and any other questions we may have had before and after installation. The installer was able to extract the old windows and install the new windows within a reasonable amount of time and without difficulty. The windows perform well, open and close, as described and intended. The installer kept the work area clean and removed all the old windows/storms and debris from the premises as needed. Would we recommend others' to buy Pella windows and would we buy them again? Yes, without hesitation. I would say everything went according to schedule, the windows are beautiful and a big asset to our older home. However, since we live in Northern Michigan and this is the end of July and the weather is warm, the true test will come in the cold winter months. Because of the fine reputation of Pella and the reviews we read I believe we made the right decision in going with Pella windows.

Everything was fine. It was very good. They met their promise, ordered it and installed it on the day that they had promised us. I had no issues with them at all. They are probably one of the higher priced but the quality is there because I had done some investigations before that. The door is used a lot and I wanted a high quality door.

It was excellent. They are going to do another job for us in about 10 days. We felt that the cost was a good value. It was well worth it and the job was done absolutely perfect. The quality was first class. They quoted the job to be done in 3 days and they managed to do it in 2 days. There was not one item that we could find that was not up to our standards, and we have very high standards. They just exceeded all of our expectations. I have already contacted them. They are going to come here. We have a home that's over 4,000 square feet. The second floor has a lot of windows. There are more downstairs and we were so pleased with what they did with the upstairs windows. This house was built in 1940 and they replicated the windows that were in the house. You would not know that these are brand new windows. They look like the original architectural drawings that they used to build the house.

It was horrible. They didn’t show up two times. When it leaked, it took them three more times to come out and fix it. When I asked for a discount for the trouble, they only offered me $50 off. Their prices were way too much!

It was wonderful. We are considering having more done and we are going to use the same people. They did what they said they were going to do. They were very efficient, neat and quick. The price was competitive with same quality other vendors.

The installation went very smoothly and within the estimated time. We have had no problems since the windows were installed 2 years ago. The warranty and their customer service follow up is excellent.

This was our second time with Pella and we chose them again since the windows that we installed a couple of years ago performed so well--the quality is outstanding and the whole process was very, very smooth.

We had a good enough experience with them. I really like the integral blinds that Pella offers. We've had no issues since the service was provided. The salesman that came to my house was very good. He suggested some things that my wife and I had not thought of, that we adopted. They did a wonderful installation. Their windows are great and we're enjoying them. Other window companies had quoted lower prices. We had Pella put windows in our former house. So we've already used them again.

I would recommend them because of the integral blinds built into the window and because of the good service. I did it through a contractor.

We went to the showroom in Plymouth and they were very courteous in explaining the features of the door walls that we chose. They had two people come over to remove the old door walls and to install the new ones and both of them were very polite and professional. I showed what was wrong with the existing door walls and they said that they would make sure that when they install it, everything would be done correctly. They explained everything thoroughly and they took their time. They made sure that everything was done properly to our satisfaction. They were not the cheapest; we could have gotten cheaper ones at another stores but I don't think we would have had the great installation that we've been through either. They found some wood that was rotten and they replaced it. He had me look at everything to make sure that we were thoroughly satisfied with the job before they left. The day after we went over to the show room, a fellow came over for the estimate and a week later, another came for the measurement and they set up the installation date. There were no postponements or cancellations of date. They said they would do the installation at 9:00 in the morning and they were there. There was nothing for us to clean up afterwards; they took all the old door walls with them. Everything was handled professionally.

While the sales process was good, I was very disappointed. My windows ended up being bigger and the window sills were smaller so the window treatments did not work.The installation was not explained properly and they ended up giving me a credit of almost $3,200. They installers also had calking all over my floor and they needed to come back out and replace some of the fiberglass which was defective. The installation did not meet up to my standards or the standards they advertise. I would only reach to them in the future under a warranty situation. There has been no change in my heating/cooling bills.

It went great. I had no complaints whatsoever. Everyone I had contact with was extremely professional. I'm planning on using them to replace my windows.

They did a very good job. Installation was excellent and the cost was fair. The sales rep was excellent to work with. Anytime I called he would call me right back. He came to job site and was right on top of everything.

They did a fabulous job. They matched our existing molding. They were courteous and everyone from the salesperson to the installer was top-knotch.

I thought they were great and the work was great. We had one problem with a crank window where it was making a noise and the service technician came out. Scheduling was good and he was on-time. The quality of their product is good and we noticed a reduction in our heating and cooling costs.

They have done exactly what they said they were going to do. Installation has been professional, quick and they clean up well after themselves. They are A+ company to work with.

They are beautiful doors. In the end it went well. They worked a long day and I felt they were rushing at the end of the day. I had a custom stain and they needed to redo the stain, which they were responsive to. They were responsive to all the issues.
