This business is run by unscrupulous individuals who are dishonest and unethical! In mid-May this year, I had a quote done to repair a floor and a counter top, and put down a 50% downpayment. I was rescheduled four times. On the third day, a guy showed up to my house, sat at my kitchen table and asked for my WiFi password as he proceeded to have a loud conversation with a girlfriend on speakerphone in front of my family. Then he told me the wood for my job was in a truck that was in a car accident and it was all over the road and he’d have to reschedule us for the next day... The next day, they tried to bump me out AGAIN, I told him to forget it. He finally came to do the work that night. While he was working, Mark was bragging to my husband about how he will just paint over a water spot and if it returns just paint it again... and how he just paid off some lady who kept complaining about his work to get her to go away. When he was finished, he left and then requested the remainder of the payment (over PayPal) four separate times! I was not at home so I called my husband and asked him to go check the quality of the work done before I send the payment. He was trying to work and so sick of having the crew in the house that he told me to just pay him and get him out of our hair. Before Mark and his partner left he had my husband sign off on the work saying we were satisfied. He wanted them gone so badly that he didn’t even look at the work and didn’t see the mess that was waiting for us. That was a mistake on his part. A couple hours later we noticed his Apple Airpods are missing. I texted Mark to ask if he’d seen them. At first he said he hadn’t, but then I told him I’d check the security camera footage to see if I could find them and ten minutes later he texted me back. Sure enough, his partner had picked them up and walked out with them. He offered to pay me twice what they’re worth. I asked him to please bring them back. They were left on the porch that night. The next day, I went down in the basement to see what they’d done. The first thing I notice is liquid nails on the walls. Someone got liquid nails on their hands and then wiped their hands on the walls! They hadn’t vacuumed or put the carpet back (at the request of my husband, who just wanted them out!) so I went to put the carpet back and realized they had moved my treadmill! The control panel housing was cracked almost in half and liquid nails was wiped all over the buttons! My treadmill was broken and unusable! I looked up at the ceiling he was supposed to have been fixing. He didn’t fix the place that was in need of attention, but instead he added wood to joists on another part of the ceiling five feet from the broken section!... and more accessible because of the way the duct work was laid. The problem wasn’t fixed. The original quote was for pulling back the carpet, putting screws in the subfloor and relaying the carpet. None of that work was done, but we were still charged full price! The second part of the job was to glue down a granite slab in the kitchen... he glued it down alright... CROOKED!! So basically I paid him $2314 to make a mess and break and steal my stuff!? I immediately tried to contact him to get an explanation, or get some money back! I tried to call him, text him, and Facebook message him. I know he was seeing my messages and he wouldn’t reply! I made my own PayPal invoice (for the time I spent cleaning up the mess and the broken treadmill) and sent it to him to try and get his attention! Still no answer. Finally I left him a one star review on Facebook and THEN he started talking to me. He said if I would take down the review, he would give me back $500. That felt like coercion, to me! It scared me. I felt vulnerable that he would retaliate and vandalize my property or something. I went to the Green Oak Township Police with my concerns. The officer I spoke with said that because he actually showed up and did something, it couldn’t be considered a criminal offense. I could take him to small claims court, but that would be time consuming and cost more than I had already lost. He suggested I warn the citizens of Southeast Michigan about this con artist by writing reviews and telling them about my experience. I wrote him a positive review on Facebook and I got $500 of my hard earned money back. I am now on an honest review writing crusade, detailing what really happened and how I really feel. I will attach some photos of the work and the invoice. Bottom line: Numark Services is a company from somewhere in Southeast Michigan (not sure exactly where) that will con you out of your money and then slop through the work. Not communicate with you after they’re paid, and then will PAY you for positive reviews! Please do your homework and don’t hire a conman!!
Description of Work: Our living room floor was shaking anytime anyone walked past. The TV would hit the wall when the kids played active video games. We wanted to have the floor repaired from the basement side so it wouldn’t move. Also discovered the granite slab on the kitchen island was not attached when someone sat on it and the other side popped up. Wanted to have that slab cemented down.

It was a really good experience. They were very quick with the estimate, quick turn around time with checking out the rooms they were going to work with, and they were very clean. The way they set up their work space was very organized and clean. They used very good materials and very thorough. They paid good attention to the work they were doing and they wanted to make sure I was pleased and happy with everything before they finished the job.
Description of Work: They renovated my kitchen and remodeled my basement.
