After Thanksgiving we began recving frequent (twice a week,) 'courtesy calls' to pick up our complete order. I called the store and explained I would not be able to install it until after the New Year - weather permitting as we were bumping up against the Christmas/New Year holidays and winter weather. I arranged for pick up on Dec. 16th. but the process took two hours to get the order released and self load the order (20 boxes + underlay) in pouring rain, although a warehouse staffer provided some help. I scheduled the week of Jan. 6 to install the flooring. On Jan. 6th I stopped at the store to pick up $100 worth of 'transition molding' required. Yet, once again, the store was short on product. I was provided with 1/2 of the amount needed and told the balance would be available in another week to 10 days, as headed to the installation site - 250 miles away. The installation went well, however, I had exactly 3 extra boxes left over - the exact amount of overage I was 'encouraged' to purchase and pay to hv shipped to the Auburn Hills store. Approx. value ~$500. Following the completion of the installation - (minus the moldings,) I returned to the store on Jan. 27,2015 and was told we were beyond the 30 day return policy and the store would not/could not provide a refund on the 'extra' flooring. They would however, "accept and provide a refund" the moldings delivered and those that had been ordered... ~ value $100. I was informed I could contact Lumber Liquidator's corporate customer service and appeal to an "order support specialists" for remediation. I did so, and was told I'd hear back w/in 24-48 hours. It has been more then 48 hours, and I'm still waiting for a response. In summary, it is worth noting that to date, all of my contacts have been handled professionally, and I remain hopeful this will be brought to an equitable conclusion. Stay tuned as I will provide at least of follow up or conclusion. Update: Reached equitable settlement w/ corporate. A highly ethical company experience.
Description of Work: In late Nov, 2014, we selected, ordered and placed a 50% down payment for 600 sq. ft. of Bella 'engineered hardwood hickory flooring". We currently reside in SE Mi, but this flooring was to be self installed in our newly constructed home in NW Michigan, located 250 miles away from this store. Counter/Sales 'experts' strongly encouraged we purchase 3 additional boxes to cover potential waste. However, boxes weren't in stock at local store. We had to wait at least a week for shipment to arrive from an Indiana store and had to pay $100 for store to store shipping.
