The entire job went great! It's so nice to have a company that we can turn to, to get quality work done around our house. This is the second time my husband and I have had Doug and his team in our house to get work done and they do not disappoint! I will continue to choose them for work we need to have fine and highly recommend this company. They do a wonderful work.

Everything was done professionally and with extreme care. We left our home for several days while they spray painted inside the house and had no reservations in doing so. The prep was amazing; there isn't a spot of paint anywhere in the kitchen other than on the cabinets! I wouldn't hesitate to hire Doug and his crew again.

I found Doug to be very intelligent, helpful, and honest. Doug spent a lot of time with me trying to find the best solution for my walls and ceiling. Unlike most contractors, Doug and his team are very transparent when it comes to breaking down their cost for labor and materials. I was under a tight budget for this project, and Doug went above and beyond to meet my requirements. They were able to squeeze me into their schedule last minute and completed my whole project in less than a week. I honestly, can not say enough good things about this company. I will definitely be a reference for anyone looking to hire these guys, and I'll be using them for future projects.

Top notch work. Painted my ceiling throughout the house. Fixed nail pops that were taking over the ceiling! Worth every penny. Professional and clean, and very reasonable. Did the whole job in 2 days! Would recommend.

Doug and his crew are amazing. They came in and knocked out the entire project in a couple days. They were professional and fast. I left a key with them to get into the house, and I was a little worried about that, but his crew are all complete professionals. Doug helped me pic out colors, and he offered professional advice on matching everything up. I will recommend them to anyone I know.

In and out in three days. No paint anywhere on our recently replaced carpets. Guys were friendly and cleaned up after themselves to a degree much more than ever expected out of contractors (vacuuming, hand wiping floors, etc.). Doug was super professional and very helpful. He walked us through the project while giving us an estimate and then did a walkthrough to make sure everything went as discussed. By far best experience we've had with a contractor to date. Will certainly use this service again.

Wolverine did a fantastic job on our recent porch remodel. This consisted of new rails, posts, floor and ceiling. They were upfront about the costs, and had great ideas to enhance the project. The communication was superb. They showed up when they said they would every time and kept to the project's schedule. The workmanship was also superb. At the end, they included receipts and detailed line items in their invoice. I wouldn't say they are the cheapest in town, but the value is excellent considering the service and product. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

My wife and I rate this company an A- overall and a great value. They are very willing to work with schedules and are professional. They have provided excellent quality for both interior rooms and bathrooms as well as a black out finished basement ceiling for us. They will look out for the longevity of your platform, proceed with confidence!

They were professional, honest, and friendly. They came when they said they'd come, and took less time, which meant the project was less costly than originally estimated. They were honest about how to repair the problem, without replacing siding that didn't need replaced. Doug came highly recommended by the crew at Sherwin Williams. It is obvious why they speak so highly of him! They were excellent, and we'll hire them again.

The project went very well. I am super happy with the quality of the work, the communication from the company, and the professionalism of the employees. It took longer than we initially discussed because I increased the scope of work when I saw how beautifully everything was coming out. If I there is more work to do in the future, I will call them. They do not just offer painting, they offer the whole range of general contractor activities.

I hired Wolverine Custom Painting to restore my deck, which included replacing rotted wood and hand rails, power washing years worth of grime and mildew, and re-staining it to a beautiful dark shade of brown. I am more than happy with the work completed by Wolverine Custom Painting. I am very impressed with the skill of carpentry plus the quality of product that was recommended, the attention to fine details, the time that they took to prep the deck, the list goes on. Doug was great with answering my questions and the crew was always friendly and professional. The deck was beautiful in its early days, and well, it just needed some TLC after being neglected for several years by the prior owners. Thank you, Wolverine Custom Paining for giving my deck the attention it needed and deserved and for bringing it back to life! I knew I had hired the right company when Doug said, "If I put my name on something, I want it to be the best." I agree wholeheartedly and that type of work ethic is hard to find. Doug Fox takes pride in his work, and delivers what he promises. He is detail oriented, and I have no complaints at all about the job done. We spent significant money on the project, but it was worth it for quality. You may spend more with this business, but if you are interested in reliable, quality work, Wolverine is for you. Doug's quick response to any question was welcome. He means it when he says that he wants you to speak plainly if there is a problem. Recommend Wolverine Custom Painting highly.

Doug and his crew arrived on time each day. They kept me informed of any issues or special consideration required for all aspects of the job. Jon was excellent in laying the over sized ceramic tile flooring in my older home. There was some leveling that had to be done and it looks excellent! The cabinets, after being prepped and painted look like brand new cabinets, I am so pleased. They went the extra mile for me as I wanted a cabinet moved to make room for a dishwasher, and placed next to the wine cooler. Jon actually created an "island" for me that works wonderfully. The back splash is absolutely beautiful and! All aspects of the job were done professionally. All of the workers treated me with respect. They cleaned up the job site everyday prior to leaving. I would recommend this company to anyone needed remodeling done. I will definitely use them again.

Best paint work ever. I highly recommend them. Todd is very conscientious and a hard worker. I've never seen this much prep work and attention to detail. He even fixed some popped nails in my ceiling drywall which I didn't expect!

Wolverine could not have been more professional and efficient with this big job. They covered all flat surfaces, moved all furniture to the middle of the rooms and covered it. Workers were always polite and, to my eyes and ears, extremely efficient. We had crews of 4 to 5 men in the house each day, and they all knew their jobs and got to them quickly. The work is so professional, just beautifully done, and we couldn't be more pleased. We have recommended this company to all our family and friends, and plan to hire them to renovate our bathroom in the future. I've hired lots of painters in the past, but I now realize what the word "Custom" means in Wolverine Custom Painting. Our newly painted rooms feel brand new.

It was okay. I would probably not use them in the future. They cost more than what we were expecting.

Doug's crew came in promptly at 9:30, and was out at 5:30 each day (the whole process took 3 days). The first day was devoted to repairing all imperfections in the surfaces, sanding, taping, repairing nail pops and drywall cracks, etc. 2nd day was for priming; most of the final painting was on the 3rd day. When they were done, the rooms looked perfect. The last 20 minutes or so of each day was spent cleaning up any dust created. When they left the tile in the entrance way was cleaner than I have ever seen it. If you are looking for someone to slap some paint on, cheap, this is not the right outfit. If you want to finally have a paint job done right, this may be you best choice.

Very satisfied, great communication, painter was punctual and worked hard for the entire day to do as much as he could of the items on my list. Great clean up. I would definitely buy this deal again and have no reservations recommending it.

Wonderful. I'd use them again in a heartbeat!!! I need double hip replacement, so can't do this work. They came in, got to work...so friendly and helpful!

It didn't. When I left a message, I was told the owner was taking a vacation and would get back to me on the next business day, which didn't happen. I would have been willing to work with this contractor had they been more responsive and let me know the reason for the non-communication.

Purchased a deal but the provider said the deal was on AngiesList in error. He cooperated in getting AngiesList to provide a refund, and he removed the deal.

There was some confusion on the front end. The painter who arrived expected me to provide drop cloths.? I had to run to store to get and we lost time. I was expecting two painters, but only one was scheduled, so he did not complete as much of the house as I expected. However, he was very professional and the quality of the work was good.

It went well, except they did not finish. I ended up having to finish up the white trim painting, then all the finish paint. In doing so, I noticed that the prep work was not a good as I expected, leaving dents and texture on some of the walls. I needed this room done quickly, as I was starting a new job the following Monday, and of course all my furnishings, etc were removed. We did as much prep work as possible before the contractor showed up (ie. removing all contents except the bed and dresser, removing the light and electrical plates as well as the ceiling light, so that the painter could start right away. The painter moved fairly quickly, and worked with me to get the ceiling looking much better. I am happy with that. When I asked for another painter to finish the job the next day, I was told he had no one available. This was disappointing. We provided all the paint, which cost a little more then I expected. The owner was very cordial and tried to get another painter but couldn't. Another thing that was not expected was that I wanted the painter to provide two colors on the walls, and was told that they don't do that. I saw nothing in the advertising that indicated limitations and I expected they would send out the right supplies or equipment to do this work. I was told prior to them coming that they don't usually do that, and that the painter doesn't have a laser level to use to paint a level line around the room. It didn't matter, since they didn't get to any of that anyway. However, in the future, I suggest they spell out their limitations so that we may look at other contractors who may be able to handle a little creativity better. All in all, I am happy with their service, just a little disappointed that they didn't get done. It wasn't a large room.

I wasn't sure if I should buy the Angie's List special: one painter for one day for $299. But I spoke to Doug Fox on the phone and described the job I wanted done (repaint my bedroom). He assured me it would be done in a day and he answered all my questions on the phone. I was nervous pre-paying for the service. Would it get done in a reasonable time? Would it be a good job? But I worried for nothing, because Wolverine Painting did everything they said they would do. We played a little bit of phone tag trying to schedule a day, but Doug always called me back when he said he would. I asked if they could come at 8:00 because I had to leave for work at 8:15. The painter came at 8:00 on the nose. The first thing they did was put drop cloths all the way from the front door to the room being painted so they wouldn't track dirt into the house. That's a sign of a quality painter. The job was done by 3:00 and it looks excellent. They did two coats on the walls and one on the trim. I am very happy with the results.
