Description of Work: They painted exterior trim and dis some caulking. It went well. They where a little expensive, but it went well. My husband, who is very picky, had no complaints. I may use them again but I will see if they have a lower bid.

Description of Work: They painted the exterior of my home. They did not figure into the price the fact that our cedar home had caulking in between the cedar boards. When they started and discovered this, they did not consult with me about what would happen. They painted knowing there would be a problem and when they finished they left me to discover the problem and call them back to fix it. All the places with caulking did not take the paint so my house looked pin-stripped. They also missed a spot on the garage door that I asked them to fix which they did not fix. When I called to have them give me an estimate on another job they fixed the garage door and I got to speak to the person who bids the jobs. He said the painter told him about the caulk problem and also told him that he choose not to discuss it with me. I guess they hopped that I would not notice (not possible - the stripes were very prominent). I think professional house painters should be able to anticipate a problem like this and they should have figured the problem into the original bid. I also think they painted on days that were too cold and perhaps that made the issue worse. If the house were warm and expanded then the paint would not have cracked over the caulking. They pushed to paint on cold days to get the job done.
