Olde Towne stepped in after Home Depot refused to install our new dishwasher because the shut-off valve for the washer is in the basement. Olde Towne sent someone within an hour. The installation was somewhat complex but the Olde Towne tech stuck with it and got it done. We were very pleased.

They had excellent, honest advice, and saved me a lot of money by finding less expensive ways to properly fix items that I expected to replace. Excellent job and professionalism by all 3 workers. Even if their quoted price seemed higher, I believe I paid less in the long run.

In the process of getting a shower leak fixed by this service provider. I've ordered parts from Kohler (warranty only applies to original purchaser) and will use Old Towne to perform the installation. Will update review once complete.

With my permission, they arrived earlier than scheduled and quickly got my pump working again. When he noticed some extra water, he was quick to clean up. The cost was higher than I had expected, but the responsiveness and professionalism was greatly appreciated. I would use them again.

The office staff was extremely helpful--they did not have slots open, but found out that we needed the spigots replaced immediately as we were having some landscaping (installed sod) done in the back yard and had to water, water, water. The office person rearranged the day to get the plumber in by 10:30, without me even asking! Very lovely, accommodating service in that regard. The plumber was 10 minutes early, and did a great job.

We have used Old Towne Plumbing several times for everything from a camera drain inspection during our home purchase to a leaky faucet and a broken water heater. In this time we have met at least three of their plumbers, each of whom has been very knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient in their work. Though they are a little pricey, I still call them every time we have an issue as they are quick to come and solve the problem.

Phone contact was good: prompt, courteous & told my minimum cost if serviceman came out & rate for work. Serviceman Blaine came out same day (tho' this was not an emergency). He was prompt, courteous & a steady worker. He repaired the drainline from my bathtub & replaced the stopper system. A week later, everything works properly and well. A good job all around.

I like Dan Kofahl of Olde Towne Plumbing. I kind of know the receptionist and she knows who I am. I also know that Dan is friends with a number of other service people in the area, sort of a chummy thing. I threw them a few curves time wise so we had a little scheduling conflict, but I would use his services again in the future.

I had replaced a shower faucet on Sunday night and turned the water off at the meter (there was no shutoff for just the shower) and went to turn it back on after the fix and had no water. I knew that the valve was broken and it turned out both valves on either side of the meter needed to be replaced. I actually called another plumber first, but they were not able to send someone out the same day in order to fix our problem and get the water back on. They recommended a few other plumbers to call, including Olde Towne. I called Olde Towne Monday morning at about 9:30am and told them the situation since I knew what needed to be done. They said one of their plumbers had two calls and he could be to my house late morning, although she mentioned that it might be later than that. I wish they had been in contact a little more, since I left work to be home for a late morning arrival. 1pm came around and I called and found out the plumber was on his way and he showed up at 2pm. The timing was the only issue I had with Olde Towne, and I understand that earlier calls can take longer than expected, I just wish they had been in contact with me to let me know the situation. Chris was the plumber who arrived and was able to fix everything in 1.75 hours, and he did a good job. He was careful not to make a mess and worked quickly. I wish it didn't cost $300, but I was not overcharged and they gave me the breakdown of their charges (service call, hourly labor rates) when I called in the morning so I was not surprised when he gave me the invoice. Overall, I had a good experience with Olde Towne and would recommend because they performed quality work in a timely manner.

Dan performed the sewer inspection at the home I am purchasing. He was punctual and professional. He fed a snake camera into the sewer to check for orangeburg. Best money ever spent.

First we had a leaky faucet in the bathroom, then the kitchen sink started leaking. We were very pleased with their work.

The master plumber who was sent out was very professional and worked very hard. He cleaned up after himself and did not track into the house. I did not bring all of the needed materials (the unit I bought did not include a battery in the box), the plumber was patient and waited for me to go and retrieve it. I was especially happy with the rapid scheduling that was provided (for some reason I was very insistent about this). Unbelievably, I lost power on Saturday and there was a flood in the yard. Having this done saved me a lot of money and work.

Olde Towne was recomended to me by my regular plumber who was out of town at the time. The saying (it takes one to know on, fits here).

This is the latest of many jobs that Dan Kofahl, owner of Olde Towne Plumbing, has done for us over the past more than 20 years. After nursing our old Speakman tub/shower fixtures along for many years, the time had come to replace the set with modern fixtures. Because the rough-in for the new was vastly different that the old Speakman, it would be necessary to re-work the ceramic tile extensively at the head wall of the tub. Dan made four trips to the house in all, to (1) make ready the plumbing for demo of the ceramic tile and of the other side of the wall; (2) demo the old piping and fixtures; (3) rough-in of the new shower valve, shower head, and drain; and (4) install of the trim. All of this was closely coordinated with the contractor doing the ceramic tile and plaster / lath work to accomplish the work during a 4-working-day period when we were away from the house on a short trip. We returned to find a top-quality job and all work complete by both Dan and our other contractor. Had it not been for the many years of quality, dependable plumbing work by Dan I would not have had the confidence to schedule this work to occur when I was 1500 miles away on a trip. I can recommend Dan and Olde Towne Plumbing without hesitation for plumbing work in an older home.

It was fairly expensive, but the charges were explained to me ahead of time. The only issue was that they said they'd be there about an hour before he actually showed up, and didn't call to tell me he was running late. I might have been able to avoid being stuck at home if I'd given them my cell #, because they did call me when he was on his way (but then I'd only have had 5 minutes to get home.)

The disposal stopped working a few weeks back and water was not draining properly, instead it would go through the dishwasher and on to the floor. The plumber found a screw lodged perfectly in the disposal that stopped it from working and caused food to get caught in the line. First time with this company, but will certainly use them again. He was prompt, explained the problem, and consulted me before taking further steps.

He comes when he says he is going to come and has always done a very good job. He is professional and responsive to my needs. He is reliable and does what he says he is going to do. The quality of his work is good and I have been satisfied with his service.

They are very good people to work with. They are good about finding the problems that exist and they are thorough with the work. Considering the amount of work they did for me, I can say that they have good prices.

I called to make the appt on Friday and was told someone would be there at approx 11am Monday. I asked that they give me a call 30 minutes in advance so I could get home to meet them. Monday morning at 9am I got a call that they were at my house. The woman was very apologetic that they hadn't called me as I requested. The service person was very friendly and helpful. The fact that they were there BEFORE the scheduled time was a refreshing change from most service appointments, these days.
