Mr. Handyman is excellent, they arrived early, thought through my repair, and saved me time and some money, too. Didn't expect him to prime the area or to caulk the area around our door that needed repair, but he went through the steps and had all materials ready to complete. This company exceeded our expectations, our many thanks to them.

We contacted My Handyman a week prior to the date we set to meet. I was very specific on the time, as we had to make arrangements with the tenant renting the property and it is a 45 minute commute for my husband and I. Our meeting time was at 4:00. I called at 4:15 to see what the situation was. I was told that someone would be there at 5:00. When nobody showed up at 5:00, my husband and I left our tenant with a list of things we wanted done, "if" anybody ever showed up. At 6:00, still nobody showed up. I called the answering service and was told they would forward the message. Finally, the man that was supposed to come and assess the job called and said that he was sorry and that he would be there around 6:30. He did come, however, it has been over a week and nobody from Mr. Handyman has called with a quote. Needless to say, we will not be using their services ever, or passing their number on to friends.

UPDATED REVIEW: We were told over the phone that the estimate would cost $50, which would be credited towards our bill if we agreed to the work. They arrived on time and provided an estimate, but instead of $50 the handyman billed us $100 for the estimate. This was deeply upsetting at the time. I was uncomfortable paying for an estimate in the first place, but we are selling the home and under a deadline to repair this inspection finding. To their credit, the story does not end there. After writing an initial bad review for them, I contacted them directly with my concerns. Greg, the owner of company, immediately apologized and agreed to refund the $50 overcharge. I appreciated their quick response to my complaint. He also wrote me a personal letter expressing his sincere apologies for the trouble and ended up refunding the full price due to the negative experience we had. Although I am not sure if I will contact them again in the future, I respect any company that handles their customer's complaints this way. This very bad experience was turned around very quickly by the care and concern of individuals in this company. I feel I need to correct my rating to A overall for them based on the professionalism and respect with which they treated me and this situation.

Brian Taylor did a wonderful job installing bead board in the back of a damaged kitchen island. He was on time and truly was a perfectionist. He suggested ways to improve the quality of the job. We were very pleased with the final result. I wish we did this job sooner.

Responses to my initial call and follow-ups were all done in a timely manner. The service person arrived promptly (early actually) and understood what I needed done. The quote was immediate and reasonable. A time was set up for the initial work and each successive visit (due to drying of applications and sanding) were established as needed. It was determined that some further work could be done to prevent further leaks and I chose to have the work performed. It was scheduled right away and I didn't have to wait for another later time slot. The service person was knowledgeable and friendly and there was no mess left behind once the work was complete. The work itself was very good and met my expectations. The service person also gave me some information and ideas for some other work that I was planning on having done at some point. When I do, I plan on calling Mr. Handyman first for a quote on the work. Overall I was very pleased and would recommend them.

Scheduled for 11:00 am but called and asked if they could come early, no problem as the weather was in question. After reviewing the possibility of the weather affecting the completion of the outside work. We agreed to give the outside work a try, hoping the rain would stay away until it was completed. It took only a hour and was complete. Doug was great and very willing to give options and explaining everything. Will use them again.

Went very well. Eric, the repairman, did exactly what we wanted.

As with all previous work performed by Greg Kemp and My Handyman, the project was a breeze from start to finish. From Blayne on the Phone through Service Tech Brian's work in the Home, the experience is seamless and painless. My Handyman is truly a "call and relax" service provider. I have been a Builder and General Contractor in SE Lower Michigan since 1997, and I have worked with hundreds of subcontractors on tens of high-end custom homes and commercial building projects. I call Greg to take care of my own aged parents. If that doesn't speak volumes, I don't know what would. I Love this company!!

Excellent! I have made appointments for Ray to come out 1 full day and 2 half days. He is punctual, professional and works hard the whole time. He does good quality work and moves quickly so I never feel like he is padding his time.

From the initial phone call through the follow-up call after the work was completed, Greg, his Customer Service Rep. Blayne, and Service Technician Brian ensured that my experience was tremendous! My parents are in their late seventies, and like many folks, are leery of contractors or "strangers" entering their home. Greg and Blayne immediately placed my folks at-ease, and scheduled the work for two days after the call. Tech Brian arrived on-time, in-uniform, and was very pleasant dealing with my dad, who is known to be a "talker". Brian assured my parents that he would not leave until it was safe for my mom to get around the house and front porch. He took the time to explain what he was doing along the way, and my parents were very comfortable with Brian-- I believe that my mom even invited him to stay for Dinner! My Handyman is a top-notch company, from top to bottom. I plan to use its services at my own home in the very near future.

Well - even though due to prior electral placement; he was not able to install the remote control feature that came with the fans -

The serviceman is friendly and does good work, but on each visit, there were a few minor issues in dealing with him.

On the first visit, the handyman who came out worked for two days - 12 hours one day and 8 the next. The quality of the work significantly exceeded my expectations. He warned me that repairing the holes in the ceiling of a closet would probably leave some visible signs. It didn't. You couldn't even tell where the holes had been. He did a vast variety of jobs with great skill. On the second visit, the problem with the sink was a weird one but the handyman who came out fixed it quickly. He also did a small job - removing a light fixture and asked if I wanted to keep the fixture or have him haul it away. I was grateful to have it gone.

My technician Doug R. was fantastic. Great attitude, very helpful and professional for the entire job. He's my new handyman.

I emailed them after the close of business yesterday. Before 8:30 this morning they had a cancellation and called to ask if they could send someone out. Steve came out, looked at it, told me their rates (which I accepted), and got right to work. He was very pleasant, professional, and quick about it. The whole project was completed by 10 am. I have had 2 other handymen and an appliance repair shop refuse the job because of either the tight quarters or the second-story installation. My Handyman does have a trip charge and a 1-hour minimum, so before I call again I will have a half day of stuff to be done to spread out that trip charge. I will definitely have them back.

He did okay. I am a little disappointed because the stain has already come off in less than a year.

They came out and evaluated my gutters, which were not properly angled to drain effectively. He said it was an easy fix and returned to attach them correctly. When he was done, and wanted to be paid, I asked if he tested it. He hadn't. So, I asked him to take the hose and run water on the roof to make sure it was draining correctly. When he did this, it showed that it was not solved and I had a leak, which was not there prior to him working on it. He said, that was the best he could do, given the situation. Even though it was not fixed, he wanted payment. We negotiated on that point and I ultimately paid him for his time to come out to evaluate it, which any company would have done for free. So, I would not recommend or every use this person again.

The workman was right on time He put in new garbage disposal in a timely manner I also wanted door handles on my kitchen Cabinets This was done quickly too. He was pleasant and professional He cleaned up and hauled away trash. We were more than satisfied.

It was a dream job. I am highly satisfied.
