We are very happy that we had Mr. Roof put a new roof on our house. The sales person was friendly and very informative, making sure understood all the options. No high pressure just good information and a good price and guarantee. The work crew came on time and finished in one day. They were hard workers, and did an excellent job. Very thorough cleanup. What really impressed me was a few days after the roof was finished a Mr. Roof inspection guy showed up and got his ladder set up and walked around the roof checking to make sure that the roof was done right. He asked if we were happy with our new roof, and did we have any concerns. Excellent company!

Wow! The new shingles are gorgeous. The company was willing to wait seven weeks after I signed the contract because I had planned a vacation and needed recuperation time.. The team of eight arrived about 7:15. They covered windows and plants. They got right to work. Every corner and edge was precise. They even solved a seam problem between two sections of the house. When they finished, the cleaned up the yard and left at 4:45. I'm thrilled by the quality of the shingles and workmanship.

Me Roof employees started at 8am and compleated the job by 5pm. The crew was professional worked as a team and cleaned up everything. The job looks great. Tow days later an inspector for the company came out and also inspected the work and talked with me about the crew and the job they did. Wonderful follow up.

There was a wind storm in our area and we lost some shingles. Based on the age of our roof, we decided to replace the whole thing. We interviewed several roofers and thought Mr. Roof was the best value for the money. George, our salesman, was great to work with. He was honest and straightforward and was very helpful picking out our shingle color. The work crew did a great job from teardown to cleanup. The whole project was done in a day. I would use Mr. Roof again.

Because Mr. Roof has two entries on Angie's List, I am re-posting this review from the other entry so as to reflect the most recent experience on the second listing. Note to Angie's List: If you consolidate the two listings, you can remove one of my reviews. Mr. Roof came out right on time and within a day of calling. I received two calls to confirm/remind of the appointment. That's where the good service ended. The first thing I was told when the inspector arrived is that he took the liberty of ordering a satellite-based estimation of the size of my roof which he put at between 8500-9000 sq. ft. (The roof is just over 5500 sq. ft.) He came with a handful of brochures and samples. Remember, this was a roof inspection for leaking that was possibly due to ice damming. The inspector entered the attic and did a cursory inspection discovering water on the OSB. The attic is huge but he only inspected within 20 feet of the attic entrance and quickly came to the conclusion that we had big problems with the roof: clogged vents, mold and daylight showing through. He couldn't get on the roof itself because it was still covered in snow. But from the ground he confirmed that there was no ice damming. He concluded that we needed to re-roof the home because asphalt roofs last only about 10 years and we were already at 14 years. Really? The roof was inspected by a licensed home inspector only 9-months earlier and pronounced satisfactory at that time. He then sat down and gave us an estimate of $30-50K for a replacement roof pitching his own shingles and ice/water barriers. He also quoted a stone coated steel roof for upwards of $80K-$115K. This sounded quite high since I had only 3 years ago re-roofed a similar size home with a steel roof and it cost $50K including tear off and re-sheathing. The following day, the insurance company came with their inspector. Keep in mind that the insurance copmany will not pay if the roof is defective or improperly maintained. They only pay if it is weather related damage. They spent considerable time and determined that the problem was ice damming with some attic condensation due to snow-blocked upper roof ridge vent. They recommended that we have the vent replaced (at our cost) and additional insulation blown in to reduce the temperature difference between the attic and the outside. The insurance company will cover the ceiling damage after my $2500 deductible. A second roofer came in today. I will review them separately. Without knowing where we were in the process, this second inspector confirmed the insurance company diagnosis. He told us that the roof was in satisfactory shape but that it was in the latter part of it's serviceable life. He quoted replacement roof vents, resealing of areas where seals were pulling away from chimney and plumbing vents. He also noted the beginning of mold formation on the OSB which he told us is not serious but should be treated with bleach. He told us that the insulation was fine with no mold and roughly R55 of coverage. He could have sold us more insulation but didn't. He identified ice damming on non-attic portions of the roof and accounted the problem to minimal ice/water protection on the lower areas and non-attic areas of the roof. He said we should adjust that when we re-roof in 5 or so years. Cost estimate: $2600 for all the foregoing work. We will seek another estimate on Monday from another roofer. Caveat Emptor. What a difference. Mr. Roof only wanted to peddle an overpriced roof, a price based upon dimensions that were not even close to accurate. He was supposed to write me an official estimate today but I called off the meeting after hearing what the insurance company inspector said: "If somebody tries to sell you a new roof, show them the door. The roof has several more years."
Description of Work: We had issues with Ice Damming and roof vent blockage causing condensation that leaked onto ceilings. Called for roof inspection and proposal for mitigation. Composite asphalt roof is 15 years old.

The process was very easy from start to finish. From the person who scheduled our first appointment to Derek our sales representative and Antonio our lead contractor the day of. Everyone kept us informed of the process, assisted us in making the claim with our insurance company and getting us scheduled only a couple days after the adjuster came out. The crew showed up promptly and were done in 6 hours start to finish. They covered all of our windows and landscaping to plywood and tarps over our deck and landscaping. Took care to clean up and we’ve only found 2 spare nails which I’m amazed by. It appears the quality of the product is good as well. Several houses in our neighborhood used Mr. roof and it seems to have varied on their experience so I’m unsure about consistency in the quality of service, professionalism and product. A variety of houses brought into question the quality of their product and had issues with landscaping/desks being damaged and little customer service assistance when issues have arose.

Got a quote from them. The sales guy came out twice to double check and re-quote. I sent them a check for half of the amount in advance. Then they went into radio silence. No replies to texts or calls to schedule the work. After a few weeks of this, I sent them a final email threatening to cancel the job, Then a supervisor, Scott, called me told me the sales guy made a mistake and they need to re-quote. A different guy comes out and quotes me for a price 3 times the original quote. I object and he puts me on the phone with Scott. He yells and screams and I tell him that I had received multiple quotes and chose them. We had a signed contract that I was going to hold him to. He says in that case, it would be a few months before they could send anybody out to do the work! At this point I told him to just send me my money back. He hangs up on me!!! There is still no money back. My next step is to file a claim with the small claims court. These guys SUCK; stay away from them!

Mr. Roof was able to treat the attic to destroy the mold and the mold smell is gone. The installation crew removed our old shingles, repaired the decking and applied new shingles in one day with no mess left behind. They were very efficient and we couldn’t be happier.
Description of Work: We contracted with Mr. Roof after being told there was a leak around our chimney that was causing mold in our attic that we could smell in our family room. Description of Work: We needed our old roof removed (two layers of shingles) and a new roof installed. The roof is rather steep with several valleys, plus we needed to replace a skylight. They knew exactly what to do, had the right tools and materials, and did the job safely and efficiently. They worked hard from 7:30 am until 7:45 pm, but got the job done in one day (as advertised).

We had roof damage from the big wind storm in April. We were looking to replace the entire roof. Mr Roof sent a salesman and a trainee out on May 8th to look at the roof and give me a quote. The guy made us watch some 45 minute or longer video while he looked at the roof. We eventually turned it off because it was way too much info. The guy was very pushy like a car salesman and he didnt want to leave the house without making a sale. I kept telling him we were not going to make a pretty expensive decision on that day. He finally left after being at our house for around two hours. This was on a Monday and he said he would call me back on Wednesday to see what we thought. I never heard from the salesman again which made it very easy for us to decide to use a different company who replaced our entire roof. It was a very bad experience and I wont be in a hurry to recommend Mr Roof to any of my friends
