The entire experience was efficient and professional. The project manager that did the estimate was very willing to work around a busy fall work schedule to come out when it worked best for me. The estimate I received from him was very detailed and clear, and I felt the price was very reasonable for the work they were to perform. They were able to fit my project into their busy schedule before the weather got too cold to be able to have it done. The painters that came to my home to do the work were very quality conscious and were incredibly neat and tidy as they went along. Not a speck of paint dripped anywhere and each day everything was completely cleaned up as if they had not been there. When the job was complete, I was very happy with the results. To make things even better, they provided me with a guarantee for the work they did and followed up with a quality survey to make sure I was happy with the work performed and the customer service I received. I am absolutely thrilled with the entire experience and so glad I used them. I will definitely use them again when i decide to do the interior of my home.
Description of Work: I have a very old house that was weathered and had peeling paint on the exterior. It was getting late in the fall and there wasn't much time left in the painting season when I decided it just couldn't go through another winter in the shape it was in. I was more than pleased with the job that Elysium did. It looks amazing and I am now a much prouder home owner than before.

me excuse why First call had to leave a message for them to call me back. Received a prompt call back and scheduled an appointment to have an estimate on painting the exterior trim on my house. When the rep showed up he walked around the the house and inspected the current paint and explained the need for power washing and estimated it would take 3 gallons of stain to cover the trim and provided me an estimate on the labor. After talking to some friends who had used their services in the past I chose this painter even though they were a little more expensive on the labor. I was able to negotiate a price that was acceptable based on the initial estimate. The day came for them to start the work and only one person showed up and he was 5 hours late. He completed the power washing on his own and said he would be back in two days. Two days later he came back he was 6 hours late and did not have a crew with him, After 15 minutes he told me his sprayer was broke and he needed to go get a part. so he left all of his equipment in the drive way fro 3 hours while he went to get the part. Three hours later he returns with out the part and says we would be back tomorrow. The next day there was a chance of rain so they did not show up. It took a week before anybody came back to work on my house. I was told repeatedly that the crew was busy on other jobs but I was the top priority. Eventually they return and the leader of the crew said he would paint my gutters for free because of all the hassles. When they finally started to painting they gave me some excuse why they couldn't paint my gutters. By this tim eI had moved out of the house and across the country. 3 weeks after starting a 3 day project they finally finished. At this time I receive a phone call starting the bill would be $1000 higher than the estimate and they used 7 gallons of paint. more than twice what the estimate called for. I repeatedly requested an itimized bill and never received one. Since they had my credit card on file from the deposit they went ahead and charged me the balance. I would never use this company again.
Description of Work: Paint the exterior trim on my house that was being converted to a rental property.

Response from Elysium Painting Company
Member, I greatly apologize for your experience and am just as surprised as you are about the situation as this is definitely *not* typical. I will make sure you get the paperwork needed and that serious disciplinary action is taken with the crew, as this is intolerable to me as a business owner and I will do my absolute best to make sure the scenario is never repeated again. I am sorry for the inconveniences caused to you, and while I can provide ample explanations here it would be best for us to do the necessary quality control and adjustment of staff necessary to make sure that the crew that worked on your home is replaced as soon as we are able. Every project manager and team within Elysium regularly gets rave reviews. For a response as strong as yours to appear, we definitely take notice and I will make sure that quality is uniform throughout the company and every customer experience. If ever you need anything, please feel free to contact me directly and I will have other personnel work on your home upon request. To note, we do have signed documentation by yourself sir authorizing additional work and materials to be purchased, which covers the extra costs billed. The additionally authorized work actually eclipses what was billed, meaning we billed for less than we could have as we were grateful for a project addition. While I apologize that this was above the original estimate, the extra work was performed at your request. Additionally, we did obtain verbal authorization from you regarding your credit card or we would never have charged it. Our policy is 100% honesty, transparency and honoring our customers' wishes and this did hold true in your case, especially regarding financial matters. All in all, thank you for at least acknowledging a high quality of work and providing an "A" rating for us. Thank you so much for your business and your time. I appreciate you and am here for you. -David Landau Owner, Elysium Painting Company

This company is TOP notch! You will not be disappointed with their work! Chris, the project manager, was friendly, helpful, and punctual....so were the painters. The painters used extreme caution in protecting my furniture and carpet from paint drips or dirt. My house looks brand new on the inside! They even went as far as to change a light bulb for me in my cathedral ceilings while they had their ladder out....WOW! I trust this company so much that I even let them in my house (after staying home one day) to do the work while I was a work. They communicated with me the entire time and even called me at work to let me know when they were done and that they were locking up. And if that doesnt impress you...they even fell in love with my dog and was willing to let him out of his kennel while they were there!!!!
Description of Work: I had stains and nail pops repaired in ceiling as well as the entire house's ceiling painted and trim around newly installed windows painted.

I got my free estimate the day after I called and work started 2 days after that. My husband and I couldn't agree on colors so I went with our Project Manager Terry's recommendation and I love the homey cream with lavender/gray undertones we picked. It's hard to describe but it looks great! All of the work including the floor refinishing only took 2.5 days. During the couple of days the painters were in my house they kept all of their materials neatly put away at the end of each day so I wasn't living in a disaster area. Everyone was helpful and polite. I was charged exactly what I was initially quoted for labor and slightly less than I was quoted for paint and stain, which was a nice surprise. I recommended Terry and Elysium to my boss for his house - that's how much I like them!
Description of Work: Elysium Painting Company refinished our wood floors in the kitchen after my husband's amateur plumbing caused water damage. The also repainted the walls and trim and ceiling in the kitchen and the dining room.

Chris from Elysium responded immediately when I called for a quote. He came to my home personally, and we reviewed the work together. I was given a written quote that included per man hour charges. Chris explained that the hours for wallpaper removal & prep work depended on the ease of removing the wallpaper. He could only give me an estimate on that phase of the work. Some of the paper turned out to be very difficult to remove, other paper in the bedroom was removed more easily. His estimate came out very close to the final invoice. Elysium workers were prompt, considerate, friendly & professional. Work was completed in a most timely manner and is well done.

Elysium's estimator showed up on time (unlike the other estimator I had out) and I got a nice reminder email before the appointment as well. Elysium's quote was a little more than the other one I got but it was also a lot more thorough. The other company hemmed and hawed about getting references to me but Elysium sent me an email with hundreds of references right away. I called 5 people at random and talked to 3 of them, and they all had great things to say so I hired Elysium. They took a deposit and got started working the next day. The workmen showed up on time every day and worked diligently. They were surprisingly quiet and always polite. The estimator Pat told me the work would take about 3 days and that's exactly how long it took. The estimate was for $2300 - $2450 depending on materials and my final bill was for $2330. The house looks great and I will definitely recommend them to friends and use them if I ever get around to having my exterior done.
Description of Work: I'm a single woman and I hosted the family holidays at my house this year. I called several companies to get estimates to have the entire interior of my 3,000 sq ft home redone. I needed some drywall repair, painting all the walls and some of the ceilings, and the hard wood floors in the kitchen and dining rooms refinished. Elysium was one of 2 local companies I found that offered all of the services I needed.

The process to paint our home, including the other work, was quite fast. We called Elysium on Thursday morning, Chris Daly came out on Friday afternoon and they started the project on the following Monday morning! Chris and his crew arrived at 9am and did a walk through with my wife. Being that she was not home during the initial estimate, he wanted to ensure that she was aware of his plan of action and answer any questions she had. She had requests of where to start, as we would be living there during the process and they were more than happy to oblige our requests. Chris' crew included three very professional painters, Matt, Eric and Hank and his carpenter Dave. They worked together quite well and were very fast. Before the end of each day, Eric did a walk through with my wife to show her their progress and to let her know what to expect the following day. She couldn't wait until I got home each evening, to show me all they had accomplished. I think she quite enjoyed doing a second walk through with me, as she felt very involved with the process. While Dave was wrapping up the carpentry work, the painters got started in other rooms to make for a quick and efficient approach to our project. Hank and Eric worked on drywall in one room, while Matt removed wall paper in another. Because drywall mud needs time to dry, the guys worked in a few different rooms at a time to ensure that we could get our project completed quickly. We did have one room that we wanted a faux finish in and Chris was very patient with my wife's 'vision' of sorts and came up with a finish that we both enjoy! I was able to stop in on my lunch break to see Chris engulfed in the faux process, while the other guys were steady at work, this is one crew that really enjoys and takes pride in what they do! Overall, the project went better than we had expected. Not only was Chris and his crew very helpful, professional and knowledgeable, but my wife and I feel more knowledgeable about our newly remodeled/painted home as well. We felt like our questions and opinions of our home mattered and that makes all the difference! After living with 'builder's paint' for so many years, we regret that we had not discovered Elysium sooner.
Description of Work: Recently we hired Elysium Painting Company to do drywall work, wall paper removal, interior painting and some carpentry work for us. Before Elysium came in, we hired a company to do some remodeling work. Dissatisfied with how the remodeling company was proceeding (lack of communication and after a few days, they never returned), we called Elysium for references to complete the carpentry and drywall work and to schedule an estimate for painting. To our surprise, Elysium was able to do the carpentry and drywall work as well as the painting! We called the office and they scheduled us for a free quote the next day! Chris Daly came out with his carpenter and provided a thorough estimate and we got started immediately. At first we were nervous, as we had just worked with a company that did not meet our satisfaction and to be honest, they just abandoned our job. Being that the remodeling company was just a few guys in business for themselves, and now their line is disconnected, we felt more comfortable using a company that was established with many references that we could call to ensure we would have a great experience. Also, Elysium Painting Company has a website and an office with a great customer service staff. During the process, we were not only called by their 'people person' Jessica, to check on how the bid went, but also Meredith to see how the project was going and then again by Jessica to follow up on how the project went! Another customer care rep or 'people person' (just love that title), DeEtta was very helpful when it came to scheduling the project and providing details as to when the guys would start and finish the project, she also assisted with color choices. I was pleasantly surprised that after Jessica had scheduled my quote, she followed it up with email to confirm. Attached to the email was a list of references and a copy of their insurance, all of which made me feel more comfortable than any other estimates I had scheduled. Although I did receive other comparable quotes, the extension to which Elysium went to provide me with information to make sure I felt comfortable, sealed the deal for me. I was able to contact previous clients prior to my estimate, unlike the other companies who dragged their feet only to give me a few names. I am definitely going to call Elysium to paint the exterior of my home come spring! As my home is very important to me and my family and the care that Elysium provided, they treated my home like it was their own.

After reading the excellent reviews on this site, we contacted Dave, the owner of Elysium Painting who sent a project manager, Randy, who was actually a painting subcontractor who met with my husband and gave what we felt was a fair estimate for the work. Randy told my husband that he would match and purchase the paint we wanted and that the work would take 6 days. My husband put down a 50% deposit, and I arranged to take vacation to be home while they did the work. The day before the work was to start, Randy called to tell us that he and his crew (sub-sub contractors) would not be able to start until a day later than expected because of the need to complete another job. On the revised day that they were to start the work, Randy called me and asked if we had purchased the paint and had it at home. I reminded him that he had told us he would get the paint. He told me that his workers would be there shortly and that he would bring the paint so they could get started. The workers (Dennis and Terry) arrived and were absolutely pleasant and professional. They said that they would do the prep for the first two rooms (our master bedroom and bath) and would have both rooms painted that day so we would be able to use the rooms the following day. Except Randy never showed up with the paint. After waiting a couple of hours for Randy, Dennis and Terry left. An hour later they called to ask if they could come back since they had one small can of paint. They returned and painted the bathroom (white) and left. Unfortunately, the remainder of the job continued exactly as it began, Dennis and Terry would come early and leave mid afternoon, telling me that Randy would not permit them to work longer than an 8 hour day. For Randy's part, he kept calling saying he was tied up on another job, and would come shortly...and then not show up. On the third day of painting, the bedroom and bathroom were still not finished. Randy finally arrived and we discussed some minor changes in the plan: we did not want him to paint two (small) rooms that were included in the original estimate, but would have him paint the woodwork, window frame, and door in the master bedroom. Randy left and came back later that afternoon stating that he had talked it over with Dave, and that Dave stated that they would not charge me any more for painting the woodwork than the original estimate, provided I paid him in full for the job immediately so that Randy could pay Dennis and Terry for their work that week. Reluctantly, I did so. The next day (Friday), Dennis and Terry arrived and told us that they had a family emergency and would not be able to stay, but that Randy would be coming to finish the painting in the master bedroom (5 days after it was originally promised) so we could move back into it. Randy never came, but called to tell us that he would be coming at 7:30 AM Saturday and would be personally working the entire weekend to finish the job. On Saturday, he called us at 9 AM to tell us he would be at the house at 11 AM. Then called back to say he would be coming at 2 PM. Later that afternoon, he called to say he wasn't coming at all because he was finishing an outdoor carpentry job for Elysium on another site, but would come on Sunday at 9 AM. At approximately noon on Sunday, Randy called to say he would not be coming at all because he was finishing the other project. My husband clearly expressed his displeasure to Randy, especially since Randy had been paid in full 3 days earlier, and no work had been done since. Later that evening, Dennis called to ask if we were displeased with his and Terry's work, because Randy had told him that we did not want either him or Terry at the house again. None of which was true. My husband told him that we, indeed, wanted him and Terry to come and get the work completely done, because my daughter was arriving home from school in 2 days. On Monday, Dennis and Terry came and continued to work, telling us that Randy had not paid them for a prior job or the job on our house. Dennis told us that he had approached Dave about the unprofessional behavior by Randy and that Dave refused to listen to him. My husband called Dave directly and explained the entire mess. Dave told him that he had never asked to be paid in full in the middle of the job and that this was not the policy of the company. Dave also told my husband that nothing that Randy had told us was true: there was no carpentry job on another site that Randy was working on for Elysium, that he had never restricted the crew to only 8 hour days, and that he had never instructed Randy to withhold pay from Dennis and Terry. He told my husband that he would never have Randy work on another job for him again, and that he would instruct Dennis and Terry to stay working as long as necessary to get the work completed by the day my daughter got home. Dennis and Terry worked hard and did a good job on the painting, finally finishing the master bedroom the day after my daughter arrived home (Randy had not completed painting the trim before that), 7 days after originally promised. So, although the work was finished 4 days later than promised, Dennis and Terry did a good job and acted professionally throughout. Unfortunately, our home turned into Painters' Peyton Place with considerable inconvenience and not much truth or reliabilty from Randy, the subcontractor project manager. One would have thought that, with such a brouhaha, Dave might have come to our house (the job site) to make sure that the work was done to our satisfaction, but we never saw him. However, a week later we did receive a handwritten card signed by Dave telling us "how much Randy and his crew enjoyed working with you" and that "they look forward to working with you again in the future." Hello? Not on your life. There's enough drama in the world without Painters' Peyton Place. I guess the thing to remember is that your work is not going to be done by employees of Elysium Painting, but rather by subcontractors who are poorly supervised by the owner. If I had known about the hassles that would ensue, I would have hired Dennis and Terry directly without going through Elysium. I suspect that this is what we will do in the future.
Description of Work: Painted most of the interior walls of the house (no ceilings) and some trim. Repaired small areal of woodwork and painted it.

I really, really apologize for your experience. This is definitely atypical - even unique - for your project to have gone as it did. Randy's initial projects went incredibly smoothly, and we received a huge stream of positive feedback from customers he worked on so thought everything was OK to go. He had a very, very severe personal issue before your project started and unfortunately we made the poor judgment call of allowing him to continue. While we were trying out a new business model in his case, I see that this didn't end up as all would have liked and we will examine and possibly change our operations going forward. Nevertheless, I'm glad we were able to finish your project to a high level of quality. Despite your experience, thank you very much for giving us an "A" rating. Randy has since been dismissed as a project manager. I don't sit idly by and let things like this repeat themselves. Unfortunately running a business and placing trust in others results in scenarios that one wouldn't desire, but this individual will never work for us again and we have honored you and your home by taking extremely seriously your feedback. I just left you a message and am available any time at your convenience to talk further. Thank you for taking the time to reach out and communicate with us and for being patient while Dennis and Terry finished everything ahead of the original schedule. Their work is a testament to our ability to adapt and resolve situations once they have gone sour. It's nice the job is complete, and thank you very much for your business. Happy holidays, -David

The team did a fantastic job. The time between the first call and receiving a site visit for an estimate was timely and professional. Follow up from the team was excellent as well. Erik and Hank showed up on time, were very polite and professional, took the extra care that those who care about quality exhibit. They made sure at the end of each day that the area they were working in was cleaned and back to being functional for me. I had a few light fixtures to change out and they fit these small additional tasks into the day. I had the work completed in three stages and after the first stage, Erik and Hank suggested a paint type change which ended up saving me money as well as improving the quality and look of the paint on the walls. Likewise, they made sure I selected the proper paint for the bathroom ceilings and walls. I ordered the paint at Sherwin-Wiliams and they picked it up. I have already recommended Elysium, and Chris (Project Manager) and Erik and Hank to a friend. I did seek out three separate quotes prior to deciding to use Elysium. The price was in line with other quotes, meaning lower than one and slightly higher than one. I appreciated the thorough estimate Chris provided, the follow up from office staff at Elysium, the hand written thank you note from the owner, and the other small touches that distinguish owners and employees who care about their customers, their work, and their business reputation.
Description of Work: All ceilings upstairs and downstairs were prepped, necessary and appropriate repairs made, and painted. All walls in my home were painted, including bathrooms and laundry room, entry ways, main rooms, bedrooms, etc. The necessary and appropriate repairs were made to the walls prior to painting. My home is a modest 1700 sq ft.

I spoke with the receptionist first, who gave me a good level of detail on Elysium's operating practices and how they quoted out projects. She sent a project manager (Pat) out to see the house and provide a detailed estimate. Pat was very professional and personable, we felt very confident that Elysium would do a quality job. Along the way, we received timely and professional confirmation notes and follow up. When we let them know that we would be going with another company, they were understanding and courteous.
Description of Work: We received an estimate from Elysium that was reasonable in price and we appreciated their professionalism, however, we went with another company because a friend worked there and was able to give us a lower price.

Very professional, punctual. Kept all appointments on time and work was begun and finished in a more than timely manner. Two man crew was courteous and all about their business. I was a professional painter for 40 years and am now retired. You can imagine how picky I am about finding the perfect painter to paint our siding and trim outside! He got 5 estimates and finally picked Elysium after calling a dozen or so references. The crew that did our job was always on time and polite, and did the work up to my and my wife's high standards! If I was still running a company I would hire them and feel comfortable standing by their work. Highly recommended. Best parts of our experience with Elysium: -Clean crew, proactive in making sure there weren't drips and even went over and above cleaning most of the house when they were done. Totally not necessary and saved us $200. They said it was a surprise courtesy service and I was very impressed. -Project manager was very knowledgeable about best products to use. -Work started and completed on schedule. First time ever for us hiring a contractor! -Thorough quote; everything was in writing and easy to follow. -They let us keep the remaining paint after the project was done, which is awesome. -Stayed until 7:30pm one night upon our request when we thought we'd have to leave town early for a family situation. We ended up sticking around, but their willingness to go over and above to accommodate us was unexpected and very much appreciated. -We received extra calls during the project to make sure we were happy and everything was going smoothly. Suffice to say, we were very happy and have already referred them to friends.
Description of Work: HUGE project for painting the inside and outside of our house. They also replaced a couple doors, took away some wallpaper borders and beautifully restored a wall with troubled and buckling seams. Surprisingly good plaster repair - I thought I had to hire a specialist, but they've got the skills! Very complicated project and they were patient and courteous throughout.

We bought a beautiful historic home in Burns Park 8 months ago and planned to redo the interior ourselves. We thought with start with something easy like removing the wallpaper - NOT EASY! Once we started pulling at it, we realized there were several layers of wallpaper with layers of paint between and once we got to the bottom layer, chunks of the drywall started coming off - or at least we thought it was drywall. Soon we learned it was plaster. There was dust everywhere and we were scared to continue once chunks of wall started flying. We called 2 companies for estimates. Chris at Elysium really took the time to explain what exactly needed to be done and why and called the next day after we had time to think about it to see if we had any questions. 2 days later we got a hand written thank you card from the owner for letting them give us an estimate! After doing some research online (including Angie's List) we decided to go with Elysium. They just finished yesterday - it was amazing! What took Cory and I a week literally only took them a day to accomplish. All the painters were professional and polite. I work from home and they were SO QUIET I couldn't even hear them upstairs. The walls are now smooth as new construction and ready for my Halloween party way ahead of schedule! I wish I had taken before and after pics.
Description of Work: They removed 3 layers of wallpaper and paint from my living room, 2 layers from my dining room and office, and added an accent wall to my master bedroom.

Overall, I am happy with the work, and will consider using this company again. Had some quality issues with the primary crew that did the work. Based upon the way the issues were handled I expect this is not a common occurence. After the job "foreman" looked over the work, heard our thoughts / complaints, another painter was out and spend an entire day making everything right. In the end, we are happy with the final result.

Member, thank you for your feedback. Good thing we make calls to check in during the project and make sure you're happy with the progress! (This is something we do for every job, no matter how big or how small.) I'm happy you were satisfied with the finished result and apologize about the first crew; this is literally our busiest time of year and we work very hard to meet everyone's deadlines; very rarely we find ourselves overbooked and in trying to meet the timelines we promise to our customers, sometimes our painters get a little too anxious to please. I'm committed to taking a hard stance of both honoring our promises (we absolutely live by our word) and asking the crew to work overtime during these busy months so they have more than enough time to make sure you're 110% happy with the job. I'm glad you saw our commitment to ensure your full happiness and satisfaction. We're happy that you're happy! You can also look forward to a courtesy call every 6 months to make sure the job is still holding up and looking good. If needed, we will honor our promise to make a service call any time. Thank you for your business, and long live the job!

They were very responsive and enthusiastic about giving comprehensive estimates and they followed up w/a thank you note. The painting estimate was complete, but after I hired them, they decided not to do the glazing on the windows that had been quoted, b/c they said it would not be cost-effective to purchase the glazing material. They also gave an estimate to cover my porch ceiling with beadboard, which was to be stained. The project manager took the ball and ran with it, and I came home to find something that was not what I had described or anticipated. He was responsive when I called him, but told me repeatedly what they had done looked good and I would like it when it was done. It would have cost some more money to have them reconfigure it to what I expected (if they could even do it), so I elected to hire someone else to do that. The overly optimistic interest in the woodworking and staining job was an unanticipated detour, which I will have to pay for twice. I would recommend then for painting, but tread carefully if you decide to roll other things into the job like the carpentry mentioned above.

Member, thanks so much for your report and your business. I really appreciate you sharing your experience and am glad we were able to help you save money on the project. For your porch ceiling, we actually did discuss with you the visual possibilities of staining and how with so many previous layers of stain, another one would not provide a visually consistent appearance. Because of your preference for a flush, uniform look, installing beadboard was the best option to meet your expectations and we only went ahead with this project upon receiving your written approval. We were able to achieve the exact uniform appearance of a stain like in the picture you showed us, but if you would have preferred a different look it would have been no problem to remove the beadboard and start over at no additional charge. We actually perform carpentry work quite often and it makes up 10-20% of most of our jobs. Elysium crews have performed historical restoration, rotten wood replacement, building new pillars, refinishing hardwood floors and many other minor construction and finishing projects. I very much respect your aesthetic opinion and our policy is no matter how good or how sound the work is, the client is the ultimate boss and your preference is the most important of all. Structurally all of our carpentry work has held and we have never had a warranty request. In your situation specifically, the difference seems to have been on aesthetics; we were following direction and the written work order to carry out your request. Sometimes homeowners do change their mind on the type of project they would like to go forward with and we are happy to honor any request for a modification, or in this case a re-modification. Either way, I hope you are very happy with the final result and we will are here for you for any request you have now or in the future. Have a great day, -David Landau Owner

During an extensive "walk around" and on-site calculation of cost, I was delighted to receive candid commentary by the estimator, i.e., "The paint is not flaking; seems to holding up quite well. Are you just tired of the color?" However, the bid itself was problematic: for my 800 Sq.ft. single story, aluminum sided house (alone) the cost was slightly over $2,000. However, it did not include the cost of "materials". There were, therefore, variable costs inherent and unknown materials that I could have been responsible for via "invoice on the last day of the project". The "labor-bid-only" was for caulking, power wash, and leaving the window trim as is...white. Proposed 2-coats, 2-color scheme.
Description of Work: Received free estimate scheduled (good for 30-days); within two days of my initial contact. When the Elysium estimator arrived, he accepted , as an add-on, separate calculations for my garage.

Thanks for your review, Mrs. Johnson! I'm happy that you're satisfied with the thoroughness and professionalism of the quote, and I apologize for the perception gap in price. As for the dollar amount, it's strictly based on the manhours required, and the state of your garage was such that it needed a significant quantity of time in proper prep work so the job would last. We often take care of garages the size of yours for $1000-1200, but price every job in context. Our overhead is extremely low and I can guarantee the quote was an accurate representation of the time needed to do the job properly at a very high level of quality. All our paperwork references labor being separate from materials, and I do see that on your quote we underlined text that mentioned materials will be calculated during the job and billed afterwards. This is a system that many homeowners have preferred because, rather than calculating a high maximum cost of materials in advance, we bill as we go [similar to electricians] so you are only billed for the exact materials we purchase, rather than what could be an over-estimation before we begin. I will definitely take note of your comments and feedback and we will be more vigilant to give a dollar amount range on the quote itself so clients know what to expect. This is done on projects with high predictability of material costs but it now seems wise to do so on all projects. Thanks again for your time and I'm sorry we weren't able to work together. As always feel free to contact us any time for questions, feedback or touch up requests. Have a great day, and long live the job! -David Owner, Elysium Painting Company

.The quote is for $1000. They consistently followed through. They always called me back or they just called me to see where I was at. They even send me a hand written thank you card for proposing to do business with them. That was very nice I thought. He was very thorough about the job. He repeated things that I wanted done to make sure that he knew exactly what was going to happen in this house so that there were no misunderstandings. He was very friendly and very professional. He even took the time to go out and take pictures where I wanted the roof fixed. So that he could show his roofer and I could get a quote for that. I am now waiting on that now.
Description of Work: . I received a quote from Elysium Painting Company to paint all the ceiling and fix the dry wall.

I called them when we were ready to do our outside trim two years ago. My wife's an artist and really picky about color and they were very patient with her so I called them again this year to do the entire inside of our home, including removing the hideous wallpaper my wife installed herself last fall. We had a different group of painters come out this year and they were just as patient and detailed as the last crew. Our house looks great, it was done quicker than I thought possible, and even my wife is happy! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE CHRIS!
Description of Work: They did our outside trim a couple years ago and just finished removing wall paper and repainting the inside of our entire 3,000 sq foot home. They helped us pick a colors that worked well with my wife's extensive art collection.

Very well. They were punctual. Did a very professional job. They were effiecient and did a very professional job in a short time. Were very creative in solving the problem of the drainage of windows (2 years ago) and it still works perfectly. Cleaned up after the work was done. I have recommended this company to my clients (I am a Real Estate Agent) and all my clients have been very satisfied as well.

From start to beginning my experience was absolutely wonderful. Elysium has a amazing customer service that rivals many competitors in the area. It's because of this, and their work ethic, that made me consider and eventually hire them to do my home. On the job they were extremely considerate and respectful, and they did the job exactly to my wishes and standards. It's this professionalism that I appreciated the most and why I advise all in the local area, who want a phenomenal painting job done, to contact Elysium right away. Their painting is of the highest quality and caliber. On my next painting project I know who I am going to go to first. :)
