Dinse Contracting's renovation of our kitchen was superb from the first consultation to the fine-tuning on the final day. Brian Dinse's word was good at every step. His high standards and problem-solving expertise yielded flawless results. And we quickly came to trust and respect every member of the team that worked on our house — Chris, Bryan, Mark, Brandon and Mackenzie. They were friendly, smart and efficient. They made sure even the smallest details were right. They left the work site tidy and clean every night. They discovered and fixed problems we didn't even know we had. For another project, we wouldn't think of working with any other contractor.

Dinse Contracting exceeded our expectations in every way. We had two bathrooms completely redesigned, with new plumbing, heating and cooling systems, new lighting, electrical work, beautifully executed tiling, shower and tub installation, drywall installation, ceiling fan installation, glass and mirrors, carpentry and painting. We expanded the job to include major new window and slider installation, interior and exterior painting, new siding where needed. The team also sprang into action when an entirely unrelated plumbing emergency occurred. Brian Dinse's entire team, including Chris, Bryan, Mark, McKenzie, Nick, and Zach, were a pleasure to have in our home. A major renovation means the homeowner is in a close and long-term relationship with the staff. Every one of the team was considerate, thoughtful, great communicators, and went the extra mile to keep things as orderly and efficient as possible. We are thrilled with all the result. If anything wasn't perfect, Brian made it so.

I hired Dinse Contracting this spring to redo my entire basement. The team was professional, friendly, always talked me through decisions, and I would hire them again in an instant. Chris M was the MVP - he's got a ton of experience building homes and it really showed in the final product. Not only was he (and the whole team) friendly, but Chris took time to answer some of my carpentry questions. Brian was thorough and honest in pricing and I always felt he was trying to get the project done right. I was referred to the team from my next door neighbors, and I'm already planning on hiring them again in a few years when we redo the 1st and 2nd floors.

Brian took phenomenal care of us throughout the planning, building, and finishing stages. He kept the project on budget and moving along with constant communication. It was clear the whole time how much personal pride Brian and his team take in their work and in customer satisfaction. Another wrinkle is that I work from home. The Dinse Contacting team were respectful and cognizant of that fact and took great pains not to disturb me. The work itself: Brian and the team redid my entire finished basement, adding a full bathroom and moving walls around. They dug a new egress well and put a larger window into the bedroom. The bathroom is a work of art. The entire level is now the nicest floor of my house (and the main floor isn’t too shabby). When the time comes to start doing work on the main floor, there’s only one company I’d trust to do the work, and that’s Dinse Contracting. They hung mirrors in my gym, laid amazing tile in the bathroom, built gorgeous workbenches in my workshop, and on and on. Final notes: redid the awful electrical they encountered when they opened up the walls; insulated the exterior and interior walls; laid flooring and underlayment; built a custom handrail that complements the design of the level; amazing trim work; bright and beautiful lighting; hung doors (even ones that had to be shortened) that swing effortlessly. Truly, I could not be happier. Great company, great leader (Brian Dinse), and incredible finished product. I am writing to recommend Brian Dinse and his company Dinse Contracting for construction services with future prospective clients. I have had the pleasure of working directly with Brian and several members of his team. The scope of work for this project involved the removal of a structural wall, Installation of a kitchen, new flooring throughout the house along with trim/molding, painting and lighting. Plumbing and HVAC moves were needed too. I could go on about all the trades needed to complete the work. He was also able to recommend a structural engineer and flooring contractor. Dinse Contracting has illustrated their attention to detail and quality on several occasions. We trusted Brian and his team completely and often deferred decision making to him letting him protect us from ourselves. He suggested things like changing the light temperature in other areas of the house to match the same style/color, painting the doors to match the new trim, Swapping out our improperly installed tub filler for a new one. They pointed out dings on Cabinets or mismatched doors and made sure the supplier fixed the issue before we even noticed the issues. Chris was there promptly each day when he said he would be and left when planed. He also made sure that we were comfortable living in our house through the renovation. We had other bathrooms that were out of scope of the project that were experiencing issues and he was able to fix the problem in 15 min. He knew what parts were needed and had it fixed before lunch. It was clear he knew what he was doing and didn’t take any short cuts on any parts of the project. Bryan was there doing drywall patching and painting for almost a month. Fixing any imperfections in the ceiling/walls/doors. Recommending hardware/fixture changeouts and painting recommendations when it made sense. All the way down to making sure the wood was stained and sealed with the correct product/color to make sure Scheduling within the construction industry is always difficult with supply chain and labor shortages but that was not an issue for Dinse contracting. They effectively meet project schedule requirements. He and his crew have been able to quickly adapt to schedule changes from other subcontractors in order to keep his schedule on time and aligned with the overall project schedule. It was a great experience. Brian has assembled a highly capable team, in addition to being very knowledgeable about the crafts of the trade himself. He remained an advocate for us the entire time, and advised when he felt we could scale back on what we thought were necessary improvements, as well as when we should invest a little more. We completely trusted him and his team with the entire process. Reliable, honest, efficient, timely, creative...and the list continues. He made the process easy for us, he found ways to achieve our goals even when they sometimes seemed a bit impossible (running a 220 line for the add'l gas oven we wanted to install in the kitchen!), recommending less expensive ways to approach our grand ideas, being open to all the new ideas we had as they finished each project. Great team too, and all masters at what they do. Fantastic attention to detail! Completed the project on scheduled date, which was very important to us. Extensive floor and shower tile work is the BEST I've ever seen! (Really, the BEST!) Full explanation of our many questions. Full, professional accounting of materials and labor costs as the project progressed. No cutting corners just to get the job done, but doing everything right. There are always flaws in materials and unexpected issues in any job--they corrected every one of them to our complete satisfaction. Well worth the wait to get in their schedule.

We hired Brian and his crew to take on our basement remodel that included some ambitious items such as: cutting and installing an egress window, turning an under-the-stairs closet into a beautiful full bathroom and a number of custom woodworking projects. As first time homeowners who were taking on their first major renovation project, Brian and his crew were everything we could have asked for: skilled, knowledgeable, communicative, respectful of us and our home, organized, and meticulous. While Brian was not the cheapest quote we received, the work far exceeded our expectations and was worth every penny. As expected when taking on a project of this magnitude, there were a host of surprises that arose that were all handled with professionalism and transparency by Brian and Chris. In addition to the work in the basement, we spoke with Brian about replacing some dilapidated siding on the exterior of our house. He and his crew were able to fit this project in without missing a beat on our basement work. They quickly removed the old siding, replaced it, and provided us with a fantastic paint job to bring that side of our house back to life. Our once dreary, outdated basement is now a beautiful family room that we use as a retreat on a nightly basis and is quickly becoming a favorite gathering spot for family and friends. Brian Dinse and his employees and subcontractors did a top notch job from beginning to end. Our project began almost concurrently with the pandemic, so Brian faced unique challenges in carrying through, having to suspend work, per the governor’s orders, one day after he had begun. He was unable for this reason to do any work for the next six weeks. During this period, and in every phase of the project, he took pains to communicate clearly and fully with us about his schedule. Dinse Contracting is no company that shows up for a few days and disappears for weeks without notice; on the contrary, they appeared and stayed on as promised, and when they needed to work elsewhere, we knew about it. Brian and the people who work with him maintain very high standards: they are highly skilled, professional, and personable — they have been easy to have in our home over this considerable period of time. The meticulousness of their work is evident in our gleaming new bathroom, and the painting they have done elsewhere in our house has transformed those rooms beyond our expectations. We recommend Dinse Contracting without qualification and indeed with great enthusiasm.

We hired Brian and his team to remodel our outdated Master Bath and couldn't be more pleased. It is important to know that we were specifically looking for a contractor that we could trust as we are not local and needed the confidence that the work would be done perfectly without our day to day supervision. Before starting, Brian spent a ton of time with us discussing our goals and what some options might be to get the results we were looking for. Once the work was started, we were amazed at the attention to detail that was put into every step of the job by everyone on the team that was put into our work. At one point, we even went back and made different tile choices based upon Brian's observation of some defects in the tile we chose that we never even noticed. The work was smooth from beginning to end and Brian was in constant contact all along the way letting us know how things were progressing and bringing new ideas to our attention. We are very appreciative of all the work Brian and his team put into our project and are planning on using him again to do work in our Kitchen as well.

I rarely write reviews on matters such as these but in this case, I can't remain quiet. I would HIGHLY recommend Dinse Contracting LLC and look forward to using them again in the future for our additional house projects. Brian Dinse and his entire team's (Chris, Sean, Zach and Bryan H.) attention to detail is impeccable. Their work ethic and work quality is extremely high. We ran into an unexpected structural issue in the middle of the project, and Brian and his team did not skip a beat. They assessed that there was an issue, easily located what the issue was, and came up with a game plan to fix it... all while continuing the large kitchen remodel and working through Covid-related restrictions! Brian earned our trust in the process through his quality of work, and even moreso, through his personal integrity. He is honest and up front. I would highly recommend him!!

Dinse Contracting did a tremendous job in removing all of deck furniture and planters, powerwashing, covering all of house, windows and gazebo with plastic before spraying the deck with the paint. The deck that is over 20 years old look like it is brand new. John and Mark were very friendly and clean up everything and put all of the deck furniture right back where we had it.

Brian and his team are very professional, hard working and true craftsmen. The project we requested them to do was to open an unfinished space above our 3 car garage (Bonus room). Prior to their quote, there was no direct access to this space from the inside of our house. At the time of quote, Brian brought his experienced master carpenter who had done similar projects many times before. The input of someone who has done this exact project before was one of the main reasons we selected Dinse contracting. We had 3 other quotes (all high rated Angies list contractors) but none of them had done a project exactly like this before. My wife and I were hoping to spend $15k on this project, so we were apprehensive to spend more but once we discussed with Brian what was required to do this project RIGHT my wife and I agreed to proceed with the much higher quote, but we were wondered in the back of our minds if we were throwing money away (other contractors came much closer to our targeted price). After work started, we quickly realized we had made the right choice! Having built our own house (with a builder) and having had many projects of this caliber completed in this and other properties, I can say with confidence I've never had work done as consistently as this project. There was someone from Brians team or his sub-contracted HVAC team working on our project every day from 8:15-4pm almost like clockwork (no prolonged gaps where no progress was made). About 6 weeks into the project, the state of Michigan went under SIP orders and no building work was allowed by law. As this was going into place, Brian kept us up to date regularly on the situation. After 6-8 weeks the SIP was lifted and the team went back to work as diligently as before. They wore masks when in close proximity to us, and were very considerate of the fact my wife and I were now working from home (kept the noise and disturbances down to a minimum). The final result is exactly what we had hoped for when we decided to spend almost double our initial budget. My only complaint which I shared with Brian was the quote process. The quote wasn’t as detailed (as far as how much each item cost (electrical, HVAC, Drywall, finish, etc.) but after discussing with him, apparently he usually does Time and Materials projects (doesn’t issue quotes), so the fact he was flexible to provide us a documented quote was appreciated. Notes about the photos: (Please excuse the unfinished floor, we are having carpet installed in a few weeks, and the tools in the room, I’m doing some trim work in other rooms on this second floor) There are two photos of the space before any work was done, some pictures of during (shows where they had to drop the garage ceiling to ensure proper insulation, where they furred out the dormer walls to make sure the finish trim looked correct, pictures of the closets they created) and the final results. We have recommended Dinse contracting to our friends and will be considering them for our future Basement remodel.

Absolutely flawless. The Dinse team worked smoothly with the designer and made excellent suggestions about ways to increase the beauty and utility of the overall job. We contracted with Brian after getting about halfway through a DIY remodel on our bathroom and thank goodness we did. The work that Brian and his team did was impeccable from start to finish and worth every penny. Upon his recommendation, we went with a full-gut remodel that ended up uncovering several problem areas, including issues with the bathroom ventilation (the culprit for the chronic mildew on the ceiling), plumbing, and electrical work - which we would have never discovered with our own shoddy work! The high quality of work is incredibly apparent in the tilework and drywall. Everything was planned and executed meticulously so there are no flaws - everything is incredibly crisp and clean and perfectly balanced. In addition to the beautiful construction, the team was excellent to work with. Communication on every aspect of the job was very thorough and collaborative, and I never felt uncomfortable with the team coming and going in and out of the house during the workday to get the job done. They treated our home with care and were very respectful and clean on the job. This is our only bathroom in the house so Brian and his team made sure to work quickly to get us back up and running. But it was truly worth the wait! We absolutely love our new bathroom and can't believe we ever thought about going in another direction with it. If you want the job done properly, Dinse Contracting is the way to go.

Work was expensive but great quality. Brian and his crew were hands down the best contractors we worked with. Their attention to detail and quality of work is what makes them so good. They were also very good at being adaptable and taking on requests that were't part of the initial planning but we wanted later on. We did hire others contractors (who were less expensive) as we had a limited budget to do everything we wanted to... but when it came down to areas where we needed great work done, we turned to Brian and his crew.

1. Brian and Chris diagnosed the freezing pipes problem. They removed the front porch ceiling and the exterior walls of the bathroom. They had closed cell foam blown in and resided the walls and ceiling. No more cold air problems. 2. They used long ladders to access the top window, ordered a UV glass replacement and installed it. They re-installed the large second and third tiers of windows below. Lots of tedious ladder work! 3. They replaced several old house window units with new Anderson versions. They replaced some badly weathered sections of the cedar siding. Perfect match. 4. Dinse painters took over. Power washed the exterior of the house. They scraped and prepped the siding. An amazing job of calking every crack and crevasse took place. Then they sprayed heavy duty paint of our color choice on. We are really impressed with quality and timeliness of their work! A much-appreciated bonus is that Brian Dinse COMMUNICATES! You won't be in the dark about what is happening. We view the whole, somewhat complicated, project as a real win for us. We will be using Dinse again.

We hired Brian Dinse and his crew to work with us on redoing our second full bathroom. The original floor plan had a very small cubicle shower that had developed a leak over the years and needed to be fixed. We knew we'd have to basically go down to the studs in that room and build back up, and Brian had great ideas and vision for what could be done there. We have baseboard heat in the home, and so we knew we'd want to relocate a radiator in order to make the best use of the available space, and Brian brought one of his team in early to consult with us about the best way to work around that limitation. It really helped me feel comfortable with him and his team to know that they were thinking about that kind of thing up front. Brian helped us with tile and fixture selections and overall design - he has a great feel for modern design that really aligned with what we wanted to do in the space. Once the work started, everyone that was involved were amazing. We enjoyed having all of the crew in our house, they went out of their way to make sure that we knew what was going on, and that we were comfortable with everything as the work progressed. The demo and rough in went by in a flash, and while the tile took some time, it was definitely time well spent - the attention to detail and professionalism by all of the guys was fantastic. They showed me everything that was going on; talked me through all the plumbing and structural work - no mysteries for us in that bathroom any more, which is very comforting to me as a homeowner. And the end result is, without a doubt, the nicest room in the whole house. We could not be happier with the work done. The room feels so much bigger, and the work, both in the fine details, and in the overall polish is just stunning.

The project went well apart from having to update the furnace & water heater but that does not reflect on Dinse construction, which was great. These were practical updates when getting the project done and Brian’s company was very helpful in getting estimates and keeping the project moving. They budgeted us time to get these done but did not slow up work at any other time as they have their own carpenters, plumbing, electrical, tiling, drywallers, painters, etc. This was a great relief as we were able to get the project essentially completed before family came to town. The quality or work was great, more than I could have asked for! Also, a couple small things we had to add or have changed after the work was done, Brian was obliging. Brian does the research and comes up with ideas to solve problems and get best quality products/outcome at a reasonable price! Last project I had to do this myself with another company. I loved the close communication Brian does to minimize delays and misunderstandings and I absolutely love the record keeping/balance sheets they do online that you can access yourself at any time. I will rely on this company in the future for any projects I can get them involved in as it minimizes stress for me any makes the whole process so much more pleasant than other projects we have done with other companies. We have contracted with Brian Dinse multiple times and this most recent time was as high quality as the other projects. The main bathroom needed a complete gut to the studs and upgrade. Brian and his crew showed up on time, every day and worked diligently to achieve a total remodel. They handled all aspects of the work from cabinetry to countertops to lighting and tiling. They also handled ordering and coordinating delivery from the tile shop and the bathroom fixtures store. I appreciate Brian’s professionalism, customer service orientation, practicality and courtesy.
