Corrigan Moving Systems

Fantastic. Corrigan was professional and thorough. They charged us according to the original estimate and did not try to "add on" all sorts of charges at the end. Their insurance paid up promptly for damaged items. We couldn't be happier and would use them again!

Overall it went well. There was a miscommunication about what time we needed the furniture ohtnof the old house, but the crew adjusted when they arrived and worked as fast as they could to complete by the required time. We were late leaving but only by 5 minutes. Ashley was great and very responsive.

We have used Corrigan to move us in the past and they did an outstanding job packing and moving us then, so we knew we wanted them to securely pack our china & crystal and contents of 3 rooms. Our packers were excellent and took great care of fine china and crystal as well as all our household goods. They managed to neatly store all furnishings and packed boxes in our family room so we could avoid additional charges for transport & storage. The 2 gentlemen who accomplished all this were a pleasure to have in our home and were very courteous and intelligently made decisions or asked what we would prefer in several instances. We had special requests for how the bookshelves could get packed and unpacked to keep things in order and the person responsible for that task did a fabulous job. There's no question we will use Corrigan's moving services locally or out of state (we have had many of both experiences!) when the need should arise again. As veterans of many many moves over the past 20 years, we can honestly say that Corrigan far outshone the other movers we were obligated to use by various employment moves' principals. Moving is never a pleasant process, but Corrigan takes the stress out of the ordeal.

They were on time and very organized with which furniture should go first. The guys were very curtious and carefull with our belongings.

It did not go well. I contacted them and was told it would take a month to get someone out to give an estimate. I told them that was too long. Suddenly they could have someone out the following week. The appointment was cancelled the day of, due to the estimator being sick. I was unavailable when the call came in. When I called back, no one answered the phone, so I left a message with my name and phone number. I never heard back. This is not the way to get someone's business, very unprofessional. I will not make any effort to deal with them further. This is a large, long distance move. Their loss.

Corrigan was great. I appreciated the professionalism from everyone who helped to plan, estimate, schedule and conduct our move. The crew took great care with our belongings and was very experienced which helped with some challenging furniture pieces going upstairs. They repeatedly asked us if we wanted anything moved around in our new home once everything was unloaded which we really appreciated. Nice job Corrigan!

Everything went very smoothly. Movers were professional, helpful and polite We were very pleased.

The estimators were professional and helpful. We had a ton of questions. They provided several estimates based on our changing needs. The container arrived on schedule and was picked up on schedule (actually even earlier than planned). Corrigan also provided us with 2 movers to help us load the container. The guys were professional, courteous, and respectful of our time and property. We were very pleased with their service. We still have another move scheduled with them and need to have our container delivered to our new location. Based on our current experience, I have confidence that the second half of our move will go smoothly.

We were able to rent the truck without any issues. The paperwork went smoothly. The cost was correct. Service person was knowledgeable and friendly. They helped with directions for us. All in all, it was a good experience. We would definitely do business again with them.

Moved me from Michigan to NJ. Their packing and organization was good. Receipt of my stuff was a little less than optimal. Could be due to the Labor Day weekend -- however communication relative to when the material would arrive, etc. was not the best. That said, my furniture and stuff arrived, in good shape - no significant breakage. They did take away packing materials, etc. Overall, I would likely use them again.

Broke numerous glass picture frames, and damaged furniture. it took two days to pack. I gave the guys a very nice tip after the first day, thinking it would be for both days of packing. The most annoying aspect was that after the conclusion of packing on the second day, the guys were hanging around incessantly hinting about the need for a second tip. This put me into an extremely uncomfortable position. I didn't want to antagonize the crew, since they still needed to complete the move, and I didn't want them to carelessly damage my possessions. After the move was completed, and I discovered the damaged items, I called the owner to let him know. I never got a call back. I definitely would not utilize their services in the future. Some of the guys were very nice and respectful. But enough of them had their hands out, that I felt taken advantage of. Then, on top of that to have damaged goods, and no call back from the owner one would be foolish to use these movers just because their price is reasonable.

They were very well organized, very professional. The team consisted of 5 strong young men and an older man who was the "crew boss" and supervised the loading and unloading. I was astounded at the way they carried heavy items up and down the three levels of stairs. They were efficient and polite, I actually cannot say enough good things about them. The only issue was that the truck leaked oil on my cement driveway, This was unfortunate but not sure it was preventable.

We have used them before and have been very pleased. The supervisor was very professional and watched and ran the crew very efficiently. No damage to any belongings and actually finished the job under their estimate. Although they were not the cheapest, because of their reliability, we used them again.

Great. They give you a price that is the limit. It will not cost any more than this amount. Period. None of this coming back to you just before delivery and demanding more money. i've had that happen. For the same price you get professionals with the big truckers as with the little guys. Never again. Corrigan , Mayflower, United, etc all work together now. I had to get out of that corrupt apartment complex right away. My mover was there on time and I was out of that horrible place right on time.

Moving truck was not available when promised to representative. Last minute notification and we had to use another carrier because of our deadline.

Perfectly. I have absolutely no complains. They did a great job. Everything about the service was topnotch. I had absolutely nothing but praise for them. I was quite impressed.

Estimate provided was right on the money. Our items were loaded with and unloaded with care. Driver and helpers were courteous and professional. Our move to Florida was painless. It was worth every penny to have Mayflower move our property.

Amazingly well! I really hate moving, and Corrigan made this move completely painless. Every staff person I interacted with was courteous and professional. We originally had them quote out doing all of the packing and the moving. The quote was competitive with other full-service moving companies, but unlike the others, they gave me lots of tips for how to save some money (including packing the easy things myself). In the end, I did pack up most of the non-breakables, and we saved about $1000 (33% of the original quote). The estimator (Ashley) did a great job figuring out how long the move would take, and Cathy (in the office) was very helpful in setting up the move and reminding me that it came along with a $100 voucher to use towards moving supplies (new boxes, tape, paper, etc.). In addition, you can go to the office on Ellsworth and pick up used boxes for free (though there is a daily limit). Further, unlike other movers who gave us quotes, the wardrobe boxes are loaned for free [and our movers even suggested that we put some of the harder-to-pack items (baseball bats, camping gear, etc.) in the bottom of the boxes to save on use of new boxes.] Gary and his moving crew were very professional but also very personable, covered the floors, and put furniture and boxes wherever we asked (and even moved some when I realized that I'd accidentally directed them to the wrong room). They didn't take long breaks, didn't complain even with the heaviest of our furniture, and worked very efficiently. Knowing that labor prices are cheaper on weekdays compared to Saturdays, they did as much work as possible on Friday so that we would have a shorter day on Saturday. I am shocked when I think about all of the work that they did in a short period of time, and for significantly less money than expected/quoted. Should we ever move again, we will definitely go with Corrigan.

They really were responsible and reputable. They came out great and they were amazing. There was a blizzard down here and it was cold and they pulled it off with only minimal damage to staff and they made sure and paid the stuff that we had to have repaired. They really treated us right. The price was reasonable and you get what you pay for.

They did an outstanding job. The crew handling the move-out were efficient and polite. It was a hot day and they worked very hard to protect my furniture, including several antique pieces. The move-in crew in Chicago were equally efficient. My moving coordinator, Dianne Marecek, answered all my questions and was always pleasant, in spite of many questions. I had never hired a professional moving company before, so I didn't know what to expect. Everything arrived safely in Chicago. One item had a small bit of damage, but nothing major. I was very pleased and would recommend Corrigan to anyone planning an interstate move. They are affiliated with United Van Lines.

They were able to schedule my move with only a couple of days notice, which was great because another mover had cancelled on me that week due to the cold weather. I was asked to be at the first house by 8 a.m. for an 8-8:30 arrival time, which was somewhat inconvenient for me as I had to drive from another city. I was there before 8, but no one showed up from Corrigan until 9:00. No one called me to tell me they were running late. Then as it turned out, the second crew member of a two person crew was not present, and the first guy had to wait for a second person to be brought in at the last minute. I did not know this until I asked; no one from the company informed me of the problem. The first guy did a great job with what he could do on his own, but of course it took quite a bit longer since he was on his own. Eventually he ran out of work he could do singly, and had to wait in his truck about another 15 minutes before the backup second crew member arrived. In total the move took about an hour longer than I anticipated, but Corrigan did adjust the bill to reflect what it should have taken, and I am very satisfied with their price. Once both crew members were present, they both worked carefully, quickly and efficiently, and moved all of the furniture without damaging anything. The only clean up required was to sponge a little salt and snow off of the entryways where it fell off of the cardboard that they put down as protection, but that was nothing. I was very happy with the work they did. I would recommend that Corrigan have a "Plan B" if someone cannot make it to work, that can be enacted in something less than the 2 hours I had to wait. I would also suggest that if things do not go as planned on their end, they let the customer know what is going on. I appreciate the fact that they were fair with their pricing and did not make me pay for their unexpected scheduling difficulties.

Was extremely stressed out about packing and moving. I actually entertained the idea of packing everything myself and renting and driving a truck to my destination. Common sense prevailed, however, and I contacted professional moving companies. Estimates were all in the same ball park. The final decision basically came down to customer service - how my questions were answered and how my concerns were treated. Corrigan Moving Systems impressed me from the initial phone contact right on through to the unloading of the last box from the truck. The crews involved at each step were on time and they worked fast and efficiently. They were friendly and always let me know how things were going. I did not incur any moving damage at either home, and all the packed items arrived safe and sound (from delicate china to an upright piano). The move took 4 days - packed on Tuesday, loaded on Wednesday, travel on Thursday, and unloaded on Friday. Despite the cold temperatures and dusting of snow, the unloading of the truck only took a few hours on Friday morning. I need to acknowledge the awesome mover/driver, Mike, who handled this move for me. He and Corrigan promised me a stress-free move, and they certainly delivered on this promise.

So far everything has gone great and they seem to be on top of everything.
