 + -1 moreI phoned because my computer had lost all its power. I'd done the usual of unplugging as well as removing the battery pack. I was told to remove battery, unplug, wait 30 sec.,put back battery, then plug in. It worked! And it was free.

 + -1 moreComputer had a its hard drive diew. I installed the new HD, but could not get the OS to install. Computer Alley installed a provided OS. Computer works like a charm, plus they installed free A/V software which was a nice touch. Only issue is that it took two hours of labor when it should have been less time. Not sure my partner was clear that the current HD did not need to be wied, just formatted.

Description of Work: Our computer had contracted a virus, and our security provider botched up some of the clean up job. We contacted Computer Alley. The technician listened very carefully to all of the issues we were having and gave us a preliminary diagnosis over the phone. Then we were given extensive information on what our options were: the cost and time involved with bringing in the hard drive, the cost of having a home visit, etc. We opted to have the home visit, and the technician for that service was very professional, very knowledgeable, very thorough, and spent some extra time gratis to clean up a few extra items. Since a couple of programs were damaged by the virus, he was able to move some good files so that we would still have access to them.

 + -1 moreWe've had very good luck with them. The cost for this particular job was prohibitive, so we decided not to do it. They explained the problem and what would have to be done, and it turned out to be way more costly than replacing the laptop. They were very cooperative and helpful. They explained everything we asked about. We feel very comfortable dealing with them.

 + -1 moreThe folks at CA are friendly and professional like. The work was performed cheaply and satisfactorily. Wait time for repair is annoying - it took them almost a week to return my laptop to me - but that is probably a testament to their popularity.
Description of Work: My Windows operating system was on its last leg so CA saved my personal data, expunged the old Windows and installed a new one. Now my laptop is working much faster.

 + -1 moreI recently took my CPU to Computer Alley for repair. I was told to call my computer company and order new discs. When I called the computer company, I was informed that I had 10 more days on the warranty through my computer company. I went back to Computer Alley to retrieve my CPU. The staff there (especially Nick) were all professional, friendly and informative, even though I ended up not using their services. I would definitely go to Computer Alley for future computer repair or to buy a computer from them.
