When my wife and I first decided to completely remodel our home several years ago, we planned to interview three architects. Michael was the first on our schedule, and as soon as he left our house, I told my wife there was no need to interview anyone else, so we cancelled the other two interviews. Michael’s presentation was not only professional, but also extremely customer-oriented, and his sincere desire to make our dreams come true was obvious within the first five minutes of our meeting, even though we had never undertaken anything of this scope before. I knew immediately that we could do no better than Architectural Resource, and we never regretted choosing Michael’s team to make our dreams come true. His approach is unsurpassed as he takes great care to understand what his customers want and then makes it his highest priority to achieve the goals along every step of the process. His adherence to selection of a builder early in the process as a “partner” (and not an afterthought) is also instrumental in the overall success of his projects. Three years after our remodel, we have decided to undertake a smaller remodel to our home, and there was never a question of working with anyone other than Michael again to continue our dream. His enthusiasm and understanding of our aesthetics and idiosyncrasies are very apparent, and we get the feeling that he treats our project as if we are family. He is absolutely amazing !!

Architectural Resource was outstanding from start to finish. They began with an extensive questionnaire in order to identify my needs, followed by a series of meetings, both in person and on the telephone. They were wonderful in explaining how individuals interact with the space in their homes over time. They were also excellent in explaining architectural concepts in layman's terms. Throughout the process they were flexible and responsive, even though I asked them to work with my own builder and designer with whom they had not worked before. I thought that the result achieved all of my goals in a timely and cost-effective manner. In addition, my home is very energy efficient and tight, thanks to their attention to these issues. I would definitely use them again for any changes to my home.

From the first meeting, we really immediately felt he was focused on learning what we wanted from this project. A week later he showed sketches that demonstrated his understanding of what we wanted -- they were amazing!Michael was always professional, enthusiastic and understanding. He never argued, but instead immediately got behind our new thoughts and integrated them into the design. It was a more like us all working on a team than him simply being someone providing a professional service. His design sense is amazing. His design details and thoughts helped us see our house in an entirely new way. He has an easy comfort with designing for the dramatic and for the simple. When done, he presented a set of design documents that were more detailed than most house plans -- nothing was left to chance. When a question or problem came up during the project, he was always there for us, often showing up within minutes of the call. We could not have been happier with the outcome.
