Advanced Appliance Repair LLC

I called this company on a referral from my appliance store where I bought my microwave. First the woman who owns the business suggested that I go to a certain website and order the part she believes is the problem(had a problem prior to this with a button for the door). I went to the site decided that I wasn't the one to order and fix it. I called her back and asked for an appointment. It took over 3 weeks for someone to come out. The young guy showed up at my door unexpectedly (no call which I had asked for and he said she never told him)with his GIRLFRIEND! I was apprehensive at first but had them come in. He didn't even know how to get out of the cubby it was in nor did he know how to open the back of the microwave, I had to show him. He tested it and then I told him that we had a problem with this button for the door and that his boss told me to order it and replace it myself. He was astonished! He told me that if I had tried to fix this myself and even though it was unplugged I could have gotten electrocuted or killed. He said it stores enough power after being unplugged to do that. I was very irate. He couldn't fix it and gave me a bill for $85.00. I then called his boss after speaking to my insurance company for her to give me a letter explaining the problem and it is irrepairable. Oh she would send it right out. After going back and forth with her, not returning my calls, nor answering my voice messages I had to turn to the appliance company in Tawas to see what they could do. This went on for 4 months! Finally they gave up trying and sent me a letter and it was taken care of. To say the least Advanced Appliances will not give out referrals nor give them a good recommendation from this appliance store any more.
