had them come out on xmas eve the 12/24/22 a service call charge for emergency was 200 which we agreed to plus the other work he did was ruffly i 60 bucks give or take so the problem wasnt fixed called back on 12/27/22 the lady said she ask the tech what he would recommend going forward hear back 12/28/22 in the morning said they wont come out to fix it said call manufacturer even though he said when he came out there was a few things he could try if this didnt fix it but they said they didnt wanna come and they were done best of luck not our problem see ya just wondering how you can just take someones money not fix the problem then basically tell the customer to go away and get away with it

We have been dealing with Whitcher for a number of years since our former Boiler man retired. And I can tell you that over these years, Mr. Whitcher and his crew have been the absolutely finest! I cannot think of a single area of their service that I have been in the least bit displeased. This month they did a full replacement of our Boiler (furnace), which was a real bear given how old the original boiler was, and Mr. Whitcher threw as many of his crew into the job as was needed to complete the installation in the pre-stated time frame! WHITCHER PLUMBING & HEATING is absolutely Excellent any way you look at it and I will recommend them to anyone without hesitation OR qualification; they are just plainly the BEST!!!

Very well. There is a basic charge for diagnosis, which is quite often the entire charge.

Exceptional well

They worked us in a day early due to the fact that we were relighting the old furnace every 2-3 hours. Very professional. Arrived on time. Very conscience of our 2 "helper" dogs when going in and out of the house. Explained everything to full understanding. Job done in 8 hours, and you would never know they had been here. Spotless cleanup. They were incredible!

During the testing of the safety gauges, one blew at a normal operating temperature. The workman quickly diagnosed the cause as being due to having excess water in the systems expansion tank. He noted that this situation will occur occasionally in these older rigid style of tanks. He also noted that replacing these with the newer tanks that have expandable bladders in them will eliminate the need to drain the current tank every now and then. However, he made no "push" to sell me a new tank as he said the current tank was in good shape and as long as I was willing to have it drained once in a while (and at little or no cost), there was really no need for a new one. BTW, once the tank was drained, he retested the safety gauges and they all worked exactly as they should! I was also impressed by his candor when I asked him about the potential cost and energy savings of buying a new energy efficient system. He frankly said that unless we were going to stay in our home for another 30 years (little chance of that as we are nearly 70), we most likely wouldn't be able to recover our costs. He indicated that our largest energy savings, given the nature of our home (a 2 story, brick "Italianate" built in 1878), would come from insulating and closing up the cracks and other air leaks in the house. He did note that a new boiler system would probably increase the sales value of the house, but overall the system was still quite serviceable and didn't need to be replaced at this point in time, unless we wanted to do so. Finally, I would like to say how impressed I was with the workman's knowledge, thoroughness, honesty, presentation and overall demeanor. He was a REALLY nice guy and I would gladly welcome him back for any future heating or cooling jobs we might need!!!

The plumber was prompt. The work was completed. All the caulking was neat and the plumber cleaned up after himself. He was pleasant and very helpful.

We were real happy. They did an excellent job. The price was comparable to everybody else. They were prompt and they did what they said they were going to do for the price they said they would do it. They did exactly what they said they were going to do in the timeframe they said they could do it. They were very professional.

They came out within 2 hours. They looked at it and found it was only a switch needed replaced while we thought it might be the entire pump.. Great job fast- he had a switch in his truck- work was completed within a short time and water back on... Honest quick and hard working.. It was freezing out and he had to work outside...

Arrived on time. Very professional throughout visit. Installation --Excellent--to our high standards. Our house and outdoors were kept exceptionally clean--which we highly value and has not always been the case with other service providers. In fact, our daughter stated, after the two installers left and she reviewed the job/area, that she would not have known a contractor had been at our home. There was a slight problem with a specific part--they informed me of that and said they were ordering it and would install it upon arrival. I highly recommend Whitcher.

I called on the referral of another business relationship. I spoke to Deana on the phone and had to call her back with more details on the appointment. I set up an appt. for the next day, appt. time of sometime between 9:00-11:00 a.m. I asked to have the issue of the drain not going down to see what the situation might be. I was told the evaluation fee would be $39.00 to which I agreed. Pretty cheap I guess to get an idea as to what the situation might be. I got a call the day of the appointment at 8:45 that morning stating they would meet me at the house. (2nd house not current home) I met them there and they actually beat me to the house so they arrived on time and very promptly!! :) I took them in the house and told them the drain (1900 home) wasn't draining and that I assumed that it was because of the cold weather, might be frozen, might be broke?? I wasn't sure but needed to get it taken care of. I could not leave the drain in that condition as it had been that way for over two weeks and not getting better. After speaking to the main technician there all he really suggested was to try snaking the drain to see if it helped. I agreed. The two choices I had was a medium snake or he could go get a bigger one. I chose what he had available which was cheaper anyway. He went to town snaking the drain and pulled out some tree roots he said (there were so small they looked more like grass roots than tree roots but....I am not a horticulturist so who knows) finally the water went down and the drain ran clear. He then told me about some and quot;bacteriaand quot; that could be bought that would help keep the drain cleaned out. I had already put industrial strength drain opener in there and assumed that they had something commercial that would be even better. Well, it wound up being a canister of something that I akin to being like Rid-X but...I still assumed it was of superior strength since they are the professionals. He told me how to do it and gave me instructions to using it. Cost? $37.00 and some change. A little steep but...like I said, I assume it was of commercial strength. Still don't know, only two days into a five day treatment usage. Well, I gave my credit card to charge me for the snaking, which he showed me the price for both medium and large, $149 was the cost for the medium. I just now, two days later looked at my receipt. (been busy with being sick after surgery) and noticed that the bill I figured would be the $149 for service and the $37.00 for the drain cleaner. Approximately $186 and some changed I assumed!! Boy was I wrong....I assumed (Yeah, I know, a** out of you and me) that the evaluation fee would have been put towards the service performed fee as I have been used to with other companies. My bill was $220+ and I am just not happy with that part of the service. I have really never dealt with a company that charges that way I guess. Other than that....the company has no complaints from me. They did their job and was on time and very professional in their approach but...I will definitely make sure the next time I call a company that I am clear on what they are charging!! I just can't get past the whole $220.00 for the actually service itself of taking only 20 minutes at the latest. Lesson learned!!! Next time...another company and more clarity on what the charge will be! I would recommend the company at this point because of the pros I mentioned but the one con on my part will prevent me from calling them again at this point.

The price was good, the work was good and I have never had a problem with the unit in 11 years.

They have done plumbing and furnace work for me in the past. Very nice guys, however when asked to do out of the ordinary work . . . they said it couldn't be done. However, another local heating and cooling company did it with no complaints or problems, reasonably. I felt like the guy spent a lot of timing saying things couldn't be done, instead of trying to figure out a way it could be done. Would use them for basic stuff, work was good, and they were professional and very nice office staff.

The technician was very professional and helpful, answering my questions and checking the furnace. I was grateful that Whitcher Plumbing and Heating was able to schedule us so quickly for with below zero temperatures it would not have taken long for the house to get cold.

They were on time and reasonably priced. They were quick and very knowledgeable.

job was delayed 1 week because air handler was delayed in shipment but they called and let me know. job was completed in the amount of time they told me it would take. workers were tidy and cleaned up everyday. very happy with entire job.

Brandon came to check out a leaking kitchen sink and a leak in the tub/shower. He quickly ascertained the problems and indicated he could take care of both right away because he had the needed parts in his van. The kitchen sink needed a new garbage disposal (due to damaged seals) and tub leak was due to a loose drainpipe connection. Brandon completed both jobs in under an hour, explained what he had done (which was also written out on the service form), told us about the company's various discounts for which we might be eligible, and explained the company's year warranty on his work. It was a very good experience and the price charged was more than fair (especially after the 10% discount). Highly recommended.

As I stated above I have always been satisfies with their service.

I was impressed that the plumber wore shoe covers automatically, so I didn't have to worry about dirt being tracked onto my downstairs carpet. He was friendly and described what he was going to do before he preformed the work. He also went over the price with us. He hooked up a pump to our Rinnai and ran a cleaning solution through the piping inside. He told us the cleaning solution would flush out any mineral deposits that had built up on the inside of the pipes. It was neat to watch the process and the plumber was very helpful- he answered our questions and even told us about some discounts we could get. Now we get a discount every time we need service :)
