upholstery cleaning
+ -1 moreOn 4/11/2018, my wife contracted with Brighten Up Carpet Specialists (York, ME) to perform a general steam cleaning on our sectional couch located at our property in Hampton NH 03842. The day of the cleaning, my wife was told to let the couch dry as it was wet/damp. That evening, we noticed that there were some stains on the couch that were not there prior to the cleaning. We waited another full day to see if they were just wet spots, which they were not. On 4/14, I called Brighten Up Carpet Specialists' main number, and they picked up the phone. I explained that the "cleaning" they had done had caused damage to my couch, and the person on the phone asked for my information and stated that they would "check with the technician" who came to my location, and get back to me by 4/16 (the next Monday). This company never called me back, ever. It was clear that the person on the phone on 4/14 *was* the technician, and that he didn't want to deal with this. I have left 4 messages since 4/14 and this company never called me back. They damaged a very expensive sectional couch and have horrible service.

carpet cleaners
+ -1 moreReally bad impression when they don't even call back.
Description of Work: I heard about this company from my local ValPack Coupon mailing. I contacted Brighten Up to set a date to have my carpets cleaned because I liked the fact that they claim to be a "Green Clean Company". I left a voicemail on 12/16/09 at 2:50 after hearing the message that someone would call me back in fifteen minutes. Here we are 7 days later and I still haven't had a call back. Fortunately I found another company that answered and was wonderful. My carpets were cleaned yesterday no thanks to this company. I guess in this tough economy they are lucky enough to not need work b/c I know I won't be back nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. I should have expected as much since I couldn't find them in BBB, Yellow Pages, online...anywhere.
