I truly appreciated Harry's professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to answer my questions. We'll definitely call on him again if/when we need more work done on our garage doors, and since he's also a handyman, we may well have need to call on him for other things, too!

Excellent! I am amazed - Harry and his workman came the day I called! Did excellent work and the price was reasonable -- he didn't try to jack the price with "extras, extras" like many in the building trades do. I bought the carriage-house style doors at Lowe's, thinking I'd have them install them. Lowe's had told me it would be $275/door for the install. But (after buying and painting the doors!) I went to book the install, I was told it would be $35 for a quote, since they had to come on site to check everything out. It would be credited toward the eventual install, so I said OK. Such a total scam! Lowe's wanted to charge extra for install kits (which were included with the door purchase), they wanted me to buy a new garage door opener, and pay for the install of that, and weatherstripping, and other bogus charges - so that quote came out to ~$1200. Needless to say, I am SO appreciative of Harry/Garage Door Company company charging $250/door, plus a little extra to fix my existing garage door opener and putting on some decorative elements. In total, it cost $620, about half of what Lowe's quoted. With local, friendly, and excellent service....It's a no-brainer to call Harry.

Calls for information and quotes were promptly returned and provided. Product recommendations were given based off of my low clearance ceiling in the garage. The new doors were ordered and received quickly. The quality of the garage doors exceeded my expectations. Work was done over a two day period. Day one was door installation and day two was garage door opener installation. Both times the company cleaned up before leaving and let me know when to expect them to finish the work. All workmanship was done well, wires were routed and secured neatly.

I CALLED fRIDAY, , mAY 18, 2013 AND GOT A PROMPT CALL BACK THE NEXT MORNING. wE MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR MONDAY MORNING AND HARRY lEWIS, THE OWNER, SHOUED UP PROMPTLY AS PROMISSED. hE ARRIVED ABOUT 9:30 WHICH WAS VERY GOOD AND WENT TO WORK ON THE DOOR OPENER. He had to disassemble the whole thing to be able to work on the part he needed to. He made all the necessary adjustments and put the opener in first class working order. I thought the charge was modest in view of the distance he had to come to do the job. Probably 25 to 30 miles plus return. I would not hesitate to recommed him to a friend. Burrage Warner

I first received an estimate, and I was impressed by the detail of information given to me as to what would need to be done. I called to order the door a couple days later, and he was able to install that week. When he arrived he let me know that one of the panels he was given was the wrong style, but that he would install with it, and return the next week and replace that panel. After installation was complete, he gave thorough instructions on door operation, including door operation without power. When he returned to replace the non-matched panel, I told him I had changed my mind about having decorative hinges and would like them if he had them with him. I fully expected to pay the extra fee for the hinges, but he told me he was not going to charge for them because I had to waited for replacement panel. He did a great job and I was very happy to be able to support a local independent business.

Harry did a beautiful job installing it and it now works great. Even without the remote, you can literally open the door with your pinkie finger. It's as light as a feather and it was explained to us that it should be so if the door is installed correctly. We will definitely call Harry again if we ever have any future garage door questions or problems.

On Thursday, May 14, 2009 we discovered that one of our two garage doors would not operate due to some broken equipment that required repair or replacement. We telephoned Harry at Garage Door Co. in the morning; within an hour he called back and we set up at time the following morning to review the situation. Harry arrived on-time and was very professional in laying out our options for either repair or replacement of the door. We opted for replacement because of the very reasonable cost and because of the bad condition of the other door, we asked if that could be replaced as well. Harry obtained the doors that morning and returned to install both of them that day. The doors were of excellent quality as was his skill in replacing them. They function perfectly and we are very pleased with the outcome.

I initially called for advice and estimate on repairing and maintaining old doors. Harry Lewis arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He explained what servicing would be needed on the hardware, but also pointed out that the doors themselves were rotted in places and suggested I consider replacing them. He described the different doors available and prices. He stressed the importance of insulated doors because there is living space above the garage. This surprised me because I had thought insulated doors were only needed for a heated garage, but I later verified what he said on various internet resources. What he said sounded reasonable, but I wanted to be sure he wasn't just trying to sell me new doors I didn't need so I got a second opinion from the Overhead Door. Co. The guy from that company told me pretty much the same thing and gave me an estimate for new doors. Of course, it's possible they were both just trying to sell me new doors I didn't need, but I doubt it. His estimate was slightly higher than the first, so I had the Garage Door Company do the work. Harry again arrived promptly as scheduled and did the job in about 6 hours.
