Description of Work: Finish interior of 3 season room

Description of Work: We are doing a major exterior/interior remodel of a newly purchased property. The property is not that old, but has been severly neglected. Compounding the problems is the fact that much of the original construction was of sub-par quality. But we love the site and feel the property is worth restoring. This is a large project that will likely take a year to complete. Includes reworking all mechanical systems, demolition of some existing structures, hardscaping work, complete residing and re-roofing, deck replacement, etc. You name it and we're doing it.

Description of Work: David was introduced to us by the painter we hired to paint the exterior of our house due to the extensive amount of rot that had occured to the exterior woodwork on our home including trim, windows, window sills, trim, deck posts and rails. We instructed both Brian (the painter) and David to please not just "slap a coat of paint" over damaged areas but rather, inform us as to the extent of the damage so we could decide how we wanted to proceed. David not only did this, but also, using his professional expertise, helped us prioritize what needed to be replaced now and what he could repair so we could replace at a later date. He gave us sound advice and many alternatives. David always felt "badly" when he came upon areas of extensive damage, as he thought he was always the harbinger of 'bad news'. What we so appreciated was that he DID identify things that were in poor condition or were not built properly in the first place, so they could be repaired PROPERLY. He respected the fact that we needed to stay within a budget andf helped us make good decisions on what really had to be done now and what could wait. David replaced our entrie front porch due to completely rotted wood, including the posts, rails, decking and stairs using the new synthetic material he felt appropriate...it looks beautiful. He replaced 5 windows, did major repairs on another 2.5 story window, replaced rotted garage door bottoms and garage throughway doors and replaced rotted, molded wood that extended to the studs of the house on the back corner of the house where we've always had mositure problems. The repairs were extensive, but we had anticipated they would be so we were actually LESS surprised than he was sometimes! His repairs were as meticulous as the painting. We enjoyed watching him work with great care and attention to detail (uncle was a carpenter). This is a man who does the job correctly.
