+ 5 moreVictor and his crew did a great job - they are great to work with on any kind of "redo" because they have good ideas about the best way to get things done. As one of the Popovs said, "It was easier to figure out what to do when I realized we were rebuilding the house from the inside out!" (They do a lot of new construction as well.) If you know exactly what you want, and exactly how you want it done, find someone who follows your instructions to a T. If you want to solve problems, get the Popovs.

+ -1 moreThe only issue with Victor is getting an estimate up front--difficult with unusual problems; other people who use him just say "He works so quickly it doesn't matter." We're working on estimates--I will continue to hire Victor until I have nothing left to build! This form doesn't have a place to change the address, but Victor works in southern Maine--my space is in Portland, Maine.
Description of Work: I have had Victor Popov do carpentry work for me on at least half a dozen occasions. I had an unfinished loft space, and Victor's great strength is solving unusual problems. He did everything from creating a mirror wall in a building that moves, creating a circular space on an existing table-top so I could put an art pottery tray under glass, fitting a double frig/freezer unit into an add-on space. I could go on. I'm about to hire him to add on to a butcher block counter using reclaimed materials.
