It took far too long to get the garage built (8-9 months). Excavation and concrete guys had mechanical failures on the tractor they were using. They ended up walking away before the driveway apron install and lawn repair. I had to take care of this at added cost. I had to pay off electrician for electrical work. I had to pay for some material deliveries at extra cost as contractor had exhausted money I paid for other projects. I have had a few small issues with siding coming loose that I fixed myself. Overall quality of work was OK. Biggest problem was the long duration. The contractor seemed to have over extended his resources too keep up with all of his jobs. I had shown more patience therefore I was left waiting most of the time. Small details left undone like deck stairway relocation and concrete garage doorway finishing that had to complete myself. This was a larger project than this contractor was used to facilitating and I believe he learned some hard lessons during the process. Best price quote with this contractor. I took a chance going with lowest bidder and you get what you pay for. One side note I would like to mention. When running electrical to the house, we discovered major water damage to the wall under my deck. He helped me out at short notice to repair and close up this wall. I would not hire him again for a project this large. Roofing job or handyman repairs I would consider him again.
