Jim got the job done right and for a very fair price. I am very happy with the work and will definitely hire him again the next time I need some electrical work done.
I had some electrical receptacles in my 1940s home that were three-prong, but whoever installed the newer receptacles didn't rewire them so the ground prong would actually be hooked up to something. I noticed this when UPSes plugged in to the outlets indicated wiring problems, and then I confirmed the specific issue with a receptacle tester. I also wanted to add some outlets to a room and in the basement, plus add an RJ45 jack to get gigabit network connectivity from my office down to some equipment in the basement.
Jim is a busy guy, so it was a bit challenging to connect with him to get an estimate on my job. Once we did get together, I appreciated his insights about what he would do as we discussed the problems I wanted resolved. He turned a quote around overnight. I again had a bit of difficulty in getting a firm response on scheduling the work, but a few days later I received a call from him to schedule it a week out. Total time from first contact to the job being done was about a month.
The job took about seven hours. While he was working he went above and beyond to fix some other surprises that he came across while rewiring the open-ground outlets. The new receptacles are neatly installed and everything works great, as expected!

The service was very good and he was excellent. He was very courteous and polite. He was very professional and did everything he told us he would. My husband did not complain about the price so I am assuming it was reasonable. I actually just recommended him to someone.
