We had a bad experience, so we asked a local designer for a top quality builder/re-modeler and he said Dave was an "A". He is.

Working with Dave Johnson, his crew and various subcontractors under his supervision has been a pleasure from the start. During the planning phase Dave developed a thorough understanding of our desires by asking many questions, then pointed out potential problems and alternative approaches . He provided a full set of design drawings for our approval before proceeding to the estimate and contract signing. Work on the addition began in early winter and continued through cold and stormy weather, Christmas and New Years holidays, and a six-week period while we were on vacation. Throughout that time Dave kept in frequent communication with us via Email and text messages, including photos, to show work progress and to answer any questions we had. The project continued to completion with minimum disruption to our daily lives after we returned from vacation. We were pleased during the entire project with Dave's politeness, professionalism, expertise, attentiveness and attention to detail. His own work crew, as well as subcontractors, seemed well-versed in their areas of work and carried out Dave's desire for perfection. The result is a neat, well-finished addition which meets our highest expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend Dave Johnson Builders to anyone looking for quality work from a qualified builder.

Dave has been personally involved from the beginning of the remodeling project to the end. My parents needed a place in Maine that could comfortably house them during their golden years. Dave was the builder we all chose. His subcontractors are all excellent. without going into the multiple details of our interactions with him, when the rest of the house gets remodeled we will be calling Dave and his band of merry men. Honestly we couldn't be happier. The high scores in the ranking section he and his his subcontractors earned. To be honest the addition looks better than the main house!

I had a great experience with them. I really like how quickly they responded to my queries. They were very professional. They had to come back and install something that was not installed properly. They were very quick and responded to that.

We have been getting exceptionally heavy rain fall this year. For the first time our house developed a roof leak and water was pooling on the master bathroom ceiling and running down the wall behind a heavily tiled wall. We had not worked with Dave previously, but he came out right away, quoted the job, checked that the leak had stopped, then showed up the next day with a roofer and made the necessary repairs. Polite crew, cleaned up afterward and the repair looks better than the original - and no more leak. The price was well within estimates. Based on responsiveness in a tough situation, without taking advantage of the situation, I will hire them for other more extensive project work. Good guys, quality work and decent prices.
