Our Maytag washer displayed a power failure message on its display. When powered of and on, the display cleared and displayed normally, however, the door would not lock, so the washer would not function. We called two repair service close to home, neither would come out until and quot;some time after Thanksgivingand quot; and both said they had not seen such a malfunction before. When we called Dave at 4 PM, he apologized for not being able to come out the same afternoon, but committed to the next morning. He showed up on time, he was polite, thorough and was able to reset the controller board, cycle the power to correct the problem. He was very familiar with the washer model. He also took a few minutes to offer suggestions as to how we might better use several other major appliances to prolong their use without repair. Dave was polite, professional, demonstrating a good deal of integrity. The other two services we declined to use, immediately suggested that they would bring out controller boards ($200+ labor+ travel) to correct what they were sure would be the problem.

On all of these occasions, he very quickly knows what is wrong. He will come in, I'll tell him what the malfunction is, he will take a few minutes to go over the appliance, and then knows what is wrong and which part to buy. You feel very comfortable having him in your home and he is very respectful of your home.

I called David Pluff around 5 PM and told him my Kenmore washing machine had overflowed. I told him I'd already shut the water off to the machine so the machine would stop trying to fill. He told me he could come around noon the next day, which was great for me since I wouldn't be able to do laundry again until it was fixed. He called that morning to let me know he would arrive earlier than that. He was able to come around 11AM, which was good for me. He explained what had gone wrong with the machine and quickly replaced the defective part. He charged much less than a Sears applicance repair person would have charged. I couldn't have asked for better service. He also advised me to replace my hot water hose with a stainless steel one, which I did. He said he would have done it for me but he'd just used his last one. he explained that even though I didn't use hot water often to do laundry, that there was still pressure on the hose so it was safer to have the stainless steel. I appreciated that advice since I had thought the hose wouldn't burst as long as I didn't use the hot water. I highly recommend him.

His name is David Pluss. He was a GE technician. He was very good. We picked him because the issue was part of a recall and he was a GE technician within a reasonable distance of us. He came when he said he would and was very good. He was honest with us and explained things. He was personable and clean. I thought his price was fair.
