+ -1 moreWe hired Yankee to do a full replacement of our mud room, half bath and kitchen floors. The new tile looked great, for less than 6 months. The grout began disintegrating and our floors look terrible. The owner, Will Cheever, did not stand behind his work and has refused to repair the floors. He admits the wrong grout was used for the site conditions, but has “very little interest” in doing anything to rectify the issue. After chasing him down for almost 6 months, he called my HUSBAND back instead of me. Give me a break.

+ -1 moreOur kitchen and bathroom floors looked great, for less than 6 months before the grout disintegrated. The owner will not stand behind the floors, and actually blamed me for using the incorrect grout, when I had nothing to do with the grout selection. After I called 4 times, he had the audacity to call my HUSBAND instead of me. There are plenty of good contractors out there, this is not one of them. Also, at least one of the positive reviews below is clearly for another company. The owner of this company is Will Cheever.

Description of Work: NOTE: WORK HAS NOT YET STARTED My first contact with Yankee Restoration, was in the fall of 2011. I was not present for the initial visit but my wife was. From her description he seemed thorough in his examination of our problem. He provided a prompt realistic estimate then, but I decided to postpone the work until now.(See below) I am in the "prework," fine tuning, estimate phase of my remodeling project which will be repairing/replacing a rotting sub-floor, installing new sub floor by the old sliding, breeze way door,re-installing tile to the breezeway. Then replacing breezeway sliding door with a hinged patio type door. The basic estimate so far is about $2600. There will be a roughly six by eight foot deck off the breezeway to the back yard added to the price. Will Cheever, the owner, presents himself as competent and knowledgeable. I will update as work progresses.

Description of Work: He was very professional and nice person. My job was complicated and another estimate came in about the same price, however this company had 40 years of experience, so I chose the more experienced company.

+ -1 moreThe installer was great, came on time, and installed the 104' fence in two days! Burn's Fencing has received calls from the installation of our 6' white cedar fence, which last for 30 years...! They are scheduled to add on more....Jason the manager was great, and Deb in finance dept. also!

+ 2 moreThey were really great and were on time and had some really great ideas. I really liked the guys that came worked well and the owner was really responsive and Mate that came and spent a lot of time at our house working was really great. He was also great with the kids too and was very patient. The work was really professional and top-notch and you would never know that there was a wall there. They also installed an exterior storm door and repaired an atrium door.
Description of Work: I used Yankee Restoration & Banking in April and they came in and removed a bearing wall between the living room and dinning room and put in a beam and filled in the gaps where the wall was with hard wood floor matching the hardwood floor on the other side, and finished off wall with sheet rock.
