Tristan was the technician on call that Sunday morning and showed up with enthusiasm to fix the issue and to double-check other things (like that the vent was clear outside the house). He found and fixed the issue, tested and retested before giving the all-clear. He apologized his service was even needed so shortly after a furnace cleaning (hey, these things happen--I'm glad I wasn't charged for him to stop in, especially on a Sunday!). He was very professional and courteous.

Very well. Aubrey arrived exactly when I was told he would. He went over what procedures he would be doing both on the condenser outside and on the unit in our basement. He found evidence of critters in the condenser, cleaned out the mess they left, and returned it to "like new" condition. I had the impression that he was treating our home as he would his own. We had additional questions about upgrades we might have an interest in and he gave us some excellent information that will help us make a decision. All in all, a very positive experience.

The experience I had with Keith and Pine State Services was exceptional. He arrived when he said he would and wore shoe covers as to not track dirt into the house. He asked questions to understand what the problem was and eliminated possible causes through testing. When he thought he knew what was causing the problem, he called a resource to verify as to not sell me something that would not fix it. He explained everything he was doing as was doing it and verified all costs and charges with me before moving ahead. There were no surprises when the bill came at the end. He was pleasant, respectful, and had a good attitude during the service (he literally whistled while he worked). I am glad I found Pine State Services and will use them again for more than just my heating needs. Thank you Keith for a great experience!

Our electric water heater started having a slow leak. We called Pine State Plumbing to assess the situation. They were able to send a technician within a few hours, where it was determined that our electric hot water heater needed to be replaced. We were told that the technician would clean our gas furnace, as we requested, while a new hot water tank was being delivered. We were informed of how things were progressing, and our questions were answered; the technicians were polite, worked efficiently, and worked carefully and even wore booties over their shoes! Our project was completed in a very timely fashion, and our new hot water tank was now fully operational, along with a nice clean furnace! We could not have been more pleased with our service!

Very pleased with how they handled getting my unit fixed. From the parts department to the service area, they were responsive, concerned, and professional. When the first technician wasn't able to get the unit working, even after consulting with the manufacturer, they sent out another tech just in case there was something overlooked. They got the unit working, bypassing the malfunctioning part, until they could get a new one. Within 24 hours, they were out with the new part to install. I feel they treated me fairly considering the difficulty in diagnosing the problem and the parts involved that they had to track down. I don't remember all the names I dealt with, but Keith, Brian, and Ben were all great to work with. I believe Dan was the one who ultimately got it running again, with another consult to the manufacturer. Their efforts helped me to avoid having to replace the entire unit, which would have been very costly.

The Pine State employee / technical told me he had to create TWO service orders for installing our new gas stove- 1. about 350.00 just to disconnect the existing stove's gas line (5 minute job); and 2. about another 380.00 to install the new gas stove, just put in the little orfices, hook up the gas line and push into the spot.... nothing else. I commented that this was more than the stove cost (both together) and the technician told me they get that a lot, especially from 'older people' and he went on to highlight an install charge for a widow for a stove and it cost more than her new stove cost...she was dismayed... the technician seemed to take a bit of delight, as if he got some sort of commissions. I had the work done by a professional plumber for 150.00 total. Really bad and unsustainable business model, rip folk off now but somehow assume they will be loyal customers? serious?

Hi [Member Name Removed], I just looked at your history. I am not sure if you had a difficult installation or if we needed to work around a delivery and thus causing the two visits? I did see Mike out in 2017 to hook up a gas range. My price book shows a price of $284 for preferred customers to install a customer supplied gas range. I think at the time you did have a preferred status membership as you had used our services for years. I am not sure how the price could have gone to over $700 unless he had to do a conversion on the unit and replace an old gas valve? Unfortunately since the work wasn't completed, and only one visit was scheduled Mike doesn't remember the call. It certainly bothers us that you were such a loyal customer over the years and I can see haven't used our services since this last visit with Mike in 2017! I wish we had known about it then and we could have done something about it to either explain it better or make it right. I am glad you were able to find someone to complete the task for you and get the stove hooked up. It's obviously frustrating that we came out and did not complete this task for you when we understand your time is valuable. We have definitely failed you on this last call and do hope that you'll give us another try when your in the need for any plumbing, heating or cooling services.

Incompetent or negligent intake. I called a month ago wanting someone to come out to diagnose a problem with a propane heater and to quote a new water heater. Instead, on the day of the appointment, they send out someone who's going to sell me a new propane heater instead of diagnosing the problem with the existing heater. I am not going to wait a month for another appointment to be scheduled to have the right people come out - this should have been done right and with care the first time. Never using this company again.

Hi [Member Name Removed], Yes in looking back at the work order, it appears my customer service rep scheduled someone to come out to provide pricing on a new water heater and Rinnai space heater. She did put in the work order that the Rinnai had a bad thermal control. When my System Engineer called you to confirm the appointment, you were quite upset. He immediately created a work order for the same day to get the proper service technician out for you. There was definitely a miscommunication on our end in scheduling but once we realized, we immediately made it right and was sending a tech out same day. My System Engineer did try to apologize, he did state that you were unreasonably upset at him on the phone. He created a work order for a service tech but you were so upset that you cancelled the call. So we apologize for any miscommunication on our end, are very sorry you were so upset over the mistake and wish you well in your search for a plumbing and heating company.

I called Caron &Waltz, a plumbing firm I had used previously. They have been bought out by this outfit. They sent a “plumber” who looked at my faucet, a Danz, and said he was “afraid” to work on it because it was “fancy”. He then tried to sell me a service contract with Pine StateServices. After calling his supervisor, he charged me $145.00 for dispatch and diagnostic. This seems like quite a scam to me. I received no receipt for this “service” though my check was cashed promptly.

Your email to our company was quite harsh. We don't take these insults lightly. The owner came into the office as soon as he read your email and called you on a Saturday to discuss. We hope that you will call him back. In regards to our technician, he followed all procedure manuals and charged for his time at your home. He noted in his work order that you had specialty stems on your faucet and they are not stocked items. He didn't want to dive into a repair on the fixture without having the proper parts. He also noted that he would credit you back the charges when we returned to make the repair. He stated that he made this very clear to you and you signed his paperwork agreeing that his work was done in a satisfactory manner. This all seems very fair to us. We cannot stock parts for every brand faucet. Most manufactures with specialty parts will mail them to the homeowner for free. At that time, we return to install and credit back the original dispatch and diagnostic. Our techs knowledge and time is valuable. We will be returning your check to you in full. We wish you the best and would really like the opportunity to discuss further with you. These "F" grades can hurt a company. We try not to let it ruin our day and understand that you were upset. I just wish we could have addressed it a month ago while the technician was at your home.

It didn't. My husband called to get price quote for natural gas line hookup for generator. The person he talked to did not know anything about that. She never got a call asking about that. Why are they listed for gas line hookups and know nothing about such things? Total waste of time and money to pay Angie's List for this kind of non professionalism.

Service was good, Kris came out and fixed my toilet base. He was quick and efficient, and didn't flinch at my overly barking dog. Price was a bit higher than I was expecting, but they came to the house 2 days after we called and showed up on time when expected. Good service can be hard to find, so would still be willing to pay for more services in the future.

We have used Pine State Services in the past and have been pleased. We were able to work with their team who were all great. One of the owners Jim Marcisso found the unit that worked best for our needs and fit our budget, which we were very appreciative of. Then the installation went seamless. It was led by one of their seasoned technicians, Robbie Gravel. Robbie seemed to know his craft very well and worked in a small space very efficiently and professionally, an got the job done ahead of time and without incident. The heat is back on and we are very happy with the service. I would a absolutely use them again and recommend them to other businesses or home owners

On March 16 noon (Friday), 2018, one of the service man came to my property to give me a quote for replacing the heating system. He did come on time, and checked my heating system that includes a main boiler/furnace and some gas wall heaters, and he mentioned to me that he would email me the quote early next week. However, after one week passed, no any quote was sent to me, I did call Pint State Service, one of their reps said she would have the service man to call me back and email me the quote. After two weeks passed, no any response, I did call back to ask the quote again, another service rep told me that service man was out, and asked me to left a message, I did left a message. But still no any response, today I made a call again, the service rep told me that service man was on vacation. It sounds like Pine State Service NEVER TAKE CARE CUSTOMERS, I am very disappointed about this company. This is not a professional way to treat their customers. It wasted my time to go over my heating system to them.

We had 3 other companies and individuals come evaluate and try to fix it. No one could do this and recommended that we replace it which would cost $7,000 to $10,000 because of needing to replace all of our fireplace tiles to do so. Pine State was willing to work on the problem, including getting parts in and returning them (and crediting our account) when they were not needed, until it was fixed. When I turned it on again this week and it didn't seem to be working, they came out for free to make sure it was in working order. When they left, everything was working again. I recommend them highly. I don't recommend the kind of fireplace we have. They guarantee their work.
Description of Work: We have a gas fireplace that is actually a furnace for the entire floor of our condo. It stopped working last winter. Pine State worked on it diligently until they figured out the problem and fixed it.

They replaced sink drains for $735. High flat fee rates. Also, they used iPad for processing payment but I had to call to get a copy of the receipt emailed. Hi-tech but not quite there.
