Description of Work: They repaired leaky pipes from a second floor shower. They were quick to identify the problem and provide an estimate. There was no escaping cutting a hole in the first floor ceiling but their cut was tidy and efficient. The repair was done quickly and the final price was the same as the estimate. They cleaned up nicely after their work.

Description of Work: Cleaned the boiler, bled air from our baseboard pipes, and corrected the power vent.

Description of Work: On Jan 29, Pine Tree came out to do maintenance on my furnace. I did not feel well so came up to the kitchen. After awhile the person from Pine Tree came upstairs for his money and a fee to save 10% off future work. After i wrote the check the man told me i have a Problem with my furnace. I Questioned this and wondered Why this man did not call me down to the cellar to see the problem. I had an uneasy and dubious feeling about this furnace Problem. It is so easy to take advantage of people in my area, especially women. I told this man from Pine Tree that my "advocate" would need to approve this Work. The next week i called Pine tree, talked to a woman who told me she would have a manager call me the next day. No One Called. I called Pine tree the next week and spoke to a manager who told me he would check into this and return the call. He never called me back. I eventually was too busy to continue to chase these people down and am now left in the terrible position of distrust and not knowing if there is really a furnace issue.

Description of Work: Replumbed cottage in 2004-5. Maybe has changed ownership but the were horrible back then. They left mid-job, broke the shower, then wanted full payment. They came only when they wished

Description of Work: Jim one of the owners met with me 3 weeks ago. Very good meeting I though. Sent me an email quote. That was the last communication I had with him. He was scheduled to install my a/c on th 9/10 but with a revise quote I never received. I thin that Pine State represents exactly whaT I have found in southern Maine. Mostly promises and no show, no communication, if the job,isn't big enough they walk. But they dont have the business senses to atleast tell a customer this. Instead they just walk. So now I spent 3 weeks waiting to get some work finished when if I had know Pinestate didnt want the job I could have move on. Bad business typical southern Maine. Angie needs to take there guys off her list.

Description of Work: I noticed that morning that my hot water pipe coming from my furnace was leaking. Checked Angie's List and Pine State was #1, so I called. Explained what the issue was and was told that they would try and schedule it for that afternoon. I was asked if it was an emergency and I said that I did not think it was but, if they could come out as soon as possible that would be nice, as I had to go to work. About 20 to 30 min. later I received a call back from them stating that a service tech was on his way. Now that's what I call service. Sure enough in about an hour Jason showed up, very professional and polite. I went to show him where it was leaking from and the leak had stopped. Jason rubbed his fingers across the pipe and a tiny pin hole opened up and a fine mist of water started to excape. He explained that he would write up an est. for the reapir and be right back. Now, in my opinion the cost was outrages. The repair needed to be done was to cut out a two inch section of copper pipe and replace it. The pipe was easily accessible and the job only took about 30min. I did sign a service agreement and use a $50 coupon from Angie's List, but even with the coupon, I still paid $221 and some change. I had to go to work and I had a leak that needed repair, so at that point what can you do? I agreed to the rate and the repair was done. Again the service was great, fast, and professional. However, next time I will have to shop around for a better price.

Description of Work: They installed a new boiler and heating system right before Christmas. Very efficient, professional and kept the space clean. It was pricier than some of the quotes we received but we had just moved into the house and it only had a 2 heating monitors and the other vendors were not able to start the project until mid January. Considering the heavy snows, it was well worth having the system installed sooner.
