Great after talking to Mr Collins he suggested it was a GFI outlet issue. I didn't think there were any in the basement of my 100 yo house. He said he's come out after work. After we hung up I started checking and sure enough the whole string of outlets is on a several GFIs. I never noticed they were GFIs because they are all beige instead of red/black like the others. This call saved me a lot time and money. I've waited 4 weeks for an appt from another company. Guess from now on I'll now be using Collins Electric!
Description of Work: Outlets and breaker weren't working after a power outage.

David did a great job helping us with our options to help us complete our project. He was open to listening to our needs and then proposing potential solutions to getting there. David was an incredibly hard worker and was very courteous and prompt. In the end it looks absolutely terrific and we intend on having him again for other electrical projects in our house.

Made an appointment for Saturday around 4:30. No one ever showed up. Called and left a message and never heard back. Unprofessional behavior. I would not recommend calling this company ever.

this is very true. I did receive a call on Saturday and tried to squeeze her in. things when wrong with the Saturday job and it went to 6 pm. I was exhausted and for got to call her and explain. I never got the follow up call she made. I wish I had not tried to do her a favor and show up at 6 pm at night the same day she called. Now I have my 1st bad review. what she has stated is true.... It is because I tried to do the impossible and show up on the same day as she called, on a weekend... No good deed goes unpunished.

David was great. We had some challenges coordinating our schedules, but I get impression he's a busy guy, and I can understand why. He did an amazing job with the television install, going way above and beyond expectations, including running all the wiring behind the wall. He took the time to explain everything, was happy to answer questions, and he did a great job with the cleanup. Very happy with the service. Would definitely work with him again.

Each job that Dave did for us was always completed 100% and always on time. If Dave ran into anything above and beyond the original quote, a phone call is made before the work is done. Dave shows up on time, completes the job and backs up his work. I have never needed him to come back on a job, but he tells you to call if anything comes up.
Description of Work: We have used Dave Collins for at least 15 years, if not 20. He is professional and skilled in his work. When Dave is running a little behind, he calls to update his ETA. I find this to be a courteous gesture to a consumer. Dave has done numerous electrical jobs in my home. In the bathroom he has installed ceiling lights and fans, he added the wiring to install strip lighting over the sinks. He provided electrical boxes in my garage for a new garage door opener. He wired an electrical outlet in the garage to the the electrical panel in my cellar which allows me to flip one switch at the panel and just plug in the generator in the garage- no extension cords- yahoo. Both of my children use Dave Collins in their own homes for all electrical needs.
