Mr Downs came to estimate the job and before he looked at the trees to be removed he told me that he was insured and could only be insured if he had a license. He then showed me his license. He then looked the at the trees to be removed, gave me the estimate and confirmed that what he would do, was what I wanted done. I told him to plan on doing the job and he gave me an estimated date to do the job. The job was accomplished on the day that we agreed on. I was very pleased with the way they took the trees down and cleaned up after themselves. They worked in a very professional and safe manner. Over half the trees removed were within 10 feet of my house and no damage was done to the house. I was very pleased with the way the job was done, the quickness it was done and for the price. I definitely will recommend Downs Tree Service to anyone.

In all cases, Mr. Downs came out as scheduled to provide estimates and then brought his crew and all needed equipment on the dates and times agreed upon. This particular project, in the hands of inexperienced people, could have brought the trees down in the wrong direction and done considerable damage to my house, but they were removed safely and professionally and hauled away. Downs Tree Service always trimmed, cut, chipped, and cleaned up beautifully - and always for the price agreed upon. Mr. Downs has invariably treated us with honesty and integrity - a real Mainer!
