Initially very well, then company got overextended with other jobs and replaced previous workers with tardy, desheveled, hacks. Finally had to ask them to leave with the awful quality finish work undone.

I contacted the office via email and then as requested, by phone. I spoke with the receptionist explaining that I was looking for someone to seal around a boiler pipe on my roof. I gave her three different available days I would be available over the next 2 weeks. she assured me that the job was appropriate for them but she would have to contact the owner and would call me back. I never got a call back. Very disappointing and led to longer delay in correcting the issue.

Tom was courteous and pleasant, he gave me an efficient estimate and date of service. I paid the deposit. The roof was shingled and was a mess. The edges were uneven, rain gutters were not installed, and after a storm a large patch of shingles blew off. Tom was very apologetic and sent his best man over. He trimmed the edges and renailed shingles. It looked acceptable until the next big storm blew the same section of shingles away. At Christmastime I discovered that while my roof was being shingled it had not been covered properly and it rained in. All of my heirloom Christmas ornaments got wet and were ruined as well as some family photos. I was devastated. Tom came right over, apologized, and told me to send him a bill for anything that could be cleaned, saved etc. I did not send him a bill because nothing could be saved. The same section of roof blew off the next year ( 2014) twice I believe. I really wanted the job completely done over, as this seemed like a repeating pattern, but they just renailed that side again. The Chore Store was prompt and courteous when returning my calls, yet come on... how many times do I need to call? I don't have much money and this was a HUGE expense. I expected a better quality job for sure. I go out to look at the roof after every storm. It is frustrating and worrisome.

They did an excellent job. I am very pleased with their work. The railings are functional and beautiful. The garage door works fine now. It needed a new motor. They were friendly and professional. Service was prompt.

He sent an estimate and was paid, he waited a month to respond. He then showed up with 2 other people and left them to do the work. They dug a hole for 2 hours and proceeded to tear things up. Too much water stopped the progress that day, but they didn't show up for 2 weeks. He then sent 2 others to dig and tear up more. They had no clue what they were doing and were unsupervised. I think Tom had no clue what he was doing either. The work was done by armatures, very unprofessional and unfinished, though he thinks it's complete. I would not hire nor recommend them.

The work was well done. The floor people covered over the emergency trap in the bathroom floor.

I purchased a townhouse in Waterville, ME that needed a great deal of renovation, including a totally new kitchen, new flooring throughout, deck repair and interior painting. I was supervising the renovation from 500 miles away, so I relied on the Chore Store crew to take care of everything. Tom helped me redesign the kitchen and most of the work was done prior to my moving in. He and his crew did an outstanding job. They were very reliable and trustworthy. The job was done on time and on budget. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I love these guys. I LOVE these guys. They show up, they consult, they take notes, they make suggestions, but they really listen. And they do exactly what they say they will do. I would hire these guys to do anything in my house. And they're all really pleasant and nice; you will enjoy having them around.

I would not recommend this business. I could not even get anyone to call me back regarding a potential job, let alone to actually perform it.

Tom was polite, prompt and worked around my very busy schedule. When the initial, temporary patch failed to seal the leak, he immediately had his crew return and complete the entire job even though I was not the next customer on his schedule. They were courteous and cleaned the bathroom area after working each day, something other construction crews often leave to the owner. My house is a three story Victorian and the roof is difficult to reach! Tom and his crew brought the correct ladders and tools the very first time they arrived, thus enabling them to begin work immediately.

They were pleasant to work with. They worked around my schedule. I cannot say enough good things about them. He checked with me anytime they had to increase a price that they quoted me.
