Joe worked around our schedule getting the job done

We had a dirt driveway, received multiple quotes to pave it. Decided on Joe Sparks team because of: 1. The prep process recommended for our driveway, to dig out the dirt and prepare the foundation for the asphalt putting several layers of crushed stone and level it. 2. The process to cut into the road. 3. The price. It took 7 weeks for them to show up, but it was worth the wait! What a great investment!! Excellent crew, efficient. Joe is a book of knowledge! I recommend them 100%. Thank you Joe and crew!!

I decided to pave my driveway on Thursday. I went to Home Advisor, who gave three possible clients. I requested estimates. Friday around 10 AM I was contacted by Asphalt Experts. He came by, measured the area to be paved and gave an estimate. He said he might be able to do the job later that day. He was back around 3:30 and did what he said at the price he said he would. He also offered to do some work that was not related to the paving job, at no cost. They were very capable and efficient and did an excellent job.

This business, Asphalt Experts, will not return my $500.00 deposit for work (made on March 17, 2021) they did NOT do. I was told the job would be done by the end of May. When Joe Sparks did not contact me about doing the work, I called him trying to get a date when the work to be done. He said he would call back that evening. He did not. I sent emails after this. My emails unanswered resulted in my hiring another company to pave my driveway. Lucas Paving gave me an estimate on June 17 and completed the project the very next day, June 18. The job was completed. I called Joe Sparks and requested my deposit back. He told me according to the contract, the deposit was non-refundable. The contract does not include any such statement.

The crew was very professional and insured the area was clean after work was done. Also provided a military discount.

Their dump truck Upper exhaust pipe caused some of the sidings on my neighboring house to bubble. I called the next day and the owner Joe, told me my neighbors were trying to get something free out of me. I assured him that was not the case and that his truck had caused this. Joe said he would check it out. If he did, he never got back to me. The driveway itself is very nice and the crew was great. It is the service after the sale that I am not happy with. They need to replace the siding that they damaged.

Got an estimate for the job. Decided to not dig out old asphalt around garage but laid on top of old asphalt. When laying asphalt on driveway was convinced to do a skim layer before laying the new layer of asphalt. Was charged an extra $1,200.00 for the skim coat even though they saved time and labor not taking up the old asphalt around the garage. Don't think the extra charge was necessary because of this. Also asked to be paid in cash instead of a check. Save on taxes? I do admit they do great work though. Did everything in one day. Still not sure about the skim coat.

They came out to do the driveway. Some areas had to be even be dug completely out and they were able to get it all completed in one day.

We would highly recommend Asphalt Experts for driveway installation and grading. Our driveway is on a fairly steep hill and required special attention with drainage, grading and landscaping. Joe, Dakota and his team were professional, very knowledgeable , communicated well and paid attention to detail throughout the project, The driveway looks beautiful and it was obvious that they are Expert at what they do! We found Asphalt Expert through Homeadvisor. We got several quotes on the driveway from other contractors. Their cost of installation was fairly priced and my wife and I were really impressed with the owner, Joe, on how knowledgeable and thorough he was during our initial in person consultation. Best decision we ever made. Joe and his crew were extremely detailed, hard working and efficient. There is a definite skill set to paving and the driveway turned out amazing. I would make the decision to go with Asphalt Expert again and will recommend him to friends and family. One last thought (sad to have to mention it) we are a younger family with little girls. Joe and his crew were extremely personable and thoughtful around the family. This is a contractor that met our needs and expectations 100%.

I shopped around (~5 quotes). I initially went with the cheapest contractor but while they were not responsive, Asphalt Pro was keen to get my business. They had the second best price I could find. But I'm so glad I went with them because the quality of the work was A+. They worked very quickly, efficiently but also carefully and with a high degree of precision and care. The communication was also very good. I got to express the details of what I wanted to make sure happened and it happened just like we talked about. Friendly and Professional.

I do not like to leave critical reviews, I would much prefer to work out differences with the contractor, but after being told on multiple occasions that the work that was paid for would be finished **today or tomorrow**. I just paid for and completed the work myself. I will say that the paving done was fine, a nice job, but at an additional cost I agreed to have the edges filled in with loam and supposedly seeded. I waited two weeks for them to come back and seed the soil, and finally bought the seed, straw and did it myself. My advice, do not cut them a check until everything promised is completed.

The work crew showed up on schedule and clearly understood the particulars of our job. The work was done well and the site was left in good shape.

The driveway turned out terrific. Asphalt Experts were on time, completed the job in one day and left my property in great shape, no mess or excess materials left behind.
